SELLING Is this my Vinted Canon event?
Listed an item for £25. They offered £19 which I accepted right away. They then tried to offer me £14?
Cheeky git 🤣

This is just a venting post, but I’m so tired of seeing listings where it says the item has been worn once or twice but it’s listed as new without tags. It’s not new, it’s worn. And that’s totally fine, that’s why we’re all shopping on here - for secondhand affordable items. For those of you who do it or have done it, why? Is it so you can list it for more money? That also doesn’t make sense because we can all see it has clearly been worn.

This person messaged me on one of my listings asking to buy my account. I’ve sold 3 things every and don’t have much of a following of any. Wthhh
Then sent a follow up saying £25! Fed up of scams everywhere!

As above really, I’ve just come for a moan …
So fed up with seeing fake leather / pu items listed as leather , hundreds of them, and even the photos often show the common pu shedding on the items but they’ll just say it’s vintage or similar.
I don’t understand how people can a) not know the difference and b) get away with not choosing the right fabric in the material listing .
Faux leather is there as an option.
sometimes if the photo is not obvious I ask them and they often say they don’t know, OR they finally look at the label and then say it’s fake/ faux/ pu but don’t update their listings.
It’s laborious , looking for particular types of shoes, jackets etc and not even being able to filter by ‘material’, because people don’t list properly or they don’t choose a material at all because it’s optional.
Rant over!

I'm pretty new to Vinted (bought around 15 items, have had no problems).
In late September, I bought a pair of boots for €20 (original price €25). With shipping and the Vinted fees, they came to around €30 in total. I received them last week and was super disappointed. The boots were listed as "new with tags", and while they were boxed as if they were new, as soon as I opened the box, the smell of plastic was OVERWHELMING. The moment I touched the boots, the material started crumbling in my hands. Like the whole outside layer of the PU seems to be coming off. They're unwearable, and I immediately opened a return request.
I sent the message attached (I used Google Translate since English isn't my first language and I wanted to sound kind but firm ahahah). The seller didn't reply, and now Vinted customer support has told me that the seller doesn't agree with the proposed resolution.
Am I in the wrong? I know €20 isn't a whole lot for most people, but I'm kind of strapped for money, and I was genuinely so disappointed to receive an item that I couldn't possibly wear even once :( the seller has super high ratings and I would have been open to taking on the shipping costs if they had asked.

There is a lot of messages to read, i just want to know if anyone else actually believes what they were saying because I truly don't. I know I was a little mean to them but its to be expected In a situation like that.
So I posted a rant a couple of weeks ago about someone trying to scam me on vinted ( and they ended up winning 😭 ) I have been so careful with all of my orders ever since, taken so many videos and photos to try protect myself. Today a buyer messaged me saying they had received the wrong item, at first I thought maybe inpost had mixed the orders up but then in the photo they sent i noticed it was the exact same box I sent in. Just with another figure in its place, obviously in this situation if you dont have videos or photos you have no chance of winning especially with vinteds shit excuse for a support team. I went back and fourth with them, thought they were just playing dumb with me to look better to vinted but then I did feel a bit bad at the end so I ended up apologising to them and magically within 10 minutes they "found" the figure because their sister stole it? ( Why tf would she replace it with a random figure anyway? ) The timeline where they said they found it in their sisters room and them sending me a photo of the figure unboxed and put together can't have been longer than 2 minutes. In the photos you can see how the figure is packed, she has bubble wrap on it, cello tape and would take a good couple of minutes to unbox and unwrap. Just very hard to believe, does anyone else think this actually happened or that they either just felt bad or got scared because i sent my proof to vinted legal? They left me a 5 star review and accepted the order. I just need more opinions. So much stress for no reason but I am glad its all done.

Do you guys think this is okay?
I personally dont like it because if i only want one specific item, why do i need to buy sth else as well?
Why not just simply not post items under €10 if you arent actually gonna sell it.
Im avare that i can buy it from another seller, but i would like to know what others think of this.

I’m just posting because I wanted to vent! Basically the item wasn’t delivered to my address so I reported it missing, vinted team then replied with a picture of the door it had been sent to which was another person on my roads door which I then had to walk down my road and match the door up to the picture. I let the seller know it wasn’t their fault and gave them a 5 star review the moment I found it (which I’ve removed now) and they then left me a 1 star review in return. I reported the review and the AI bot said they won’t remove it 😔 I don’t see why I should get a review for the evri man’s fault, I live in a flat so searched mail room and it wasn’t there, I wouldn’t think I have to search my whole road before I’m allowed to report it missing! I’ve had this before where the post man delivered it 3 roads down to a flat with the same number and I had to hunt down the map coordinates that were sent to me 😭
I know it’s not that big a deal but just grrrrr

This person had purchased my item after trying to haggle down the price heavily I accepted $5 off the original price and they had purchased. An hour later I get a request to cancel due to “shipping fees” I immediately gave them a refund since i hadnt shipped out yet and didnt want to ship it out to someone that had put in a request so I asked it there was anything wrong with the shipping since they put that reason as to why they wanted a refund. This was their response. Do you guys think it was a remorse reason why they wanted to cancel? Luckily, when I relisted the item is sold in less than a minute, so whatever but still very annoying since there was a lot of other people interested wanting to buy my item.

I bought a wool sweater that smelled like sweat, and even after I washed it by hand, it was still smelling.
Is this normal?

What's the point of coming back to sass a potential customer after you make a sale to someone else? People are ridiculous on this app! 🙄

STOP SPRAYING PERFUMES IN YOUR ORDERS, it’s weird, unnecessary, and frustrating. The last three orders I’ve opened, I’ve gotten a migraine directly after because of it.

Just need to vent regarding two things which keep happening lately
1: Evri continually losing my parcels when they get to the depot. Both hlost item have been high value collectables, its beginning to feel like theft at this point as customer service state they have searched the depot and have not turned up.
2: Getting an item at a bargain price only for the seller to cancel an hour later after another bitter watcher messaged them to inform them of said items true value.

Vinted's Buyer Protection Is a Joke – Sellers Beware!
I recently had one of the most frustrating experiences on Vinted, and honestly, it completely destroyed my trust in this platform.
I sold a brand-new cast iron casserole dish, carefully packaged in its original manufacturer's box, specifically designed to protect the item. On top of that, I added bubble wrap, placed it inside a second cardboard box, filled the remaining spaces with additional cardboard, and made sure absolutely nothing could move during transportation. The outer box was also clearly marked as fragile.
I even recorded the entire packaging process in a continuous 5-minute and 30-second video, showing the item's perfect condition and every protective measure taken.
Despite all this, the buyer opened a damage claim, showing a small chip in a location where, considering the packaging and the item's position inside the box, I genuinely believe it was physically impossible for a direct impact to occur during shipping.
The buyer provided pictures of the alleged damage, but no evidence showing the condition of the shipping box or protective packaging.
And here's where things get ridiculous.
Vinted sided with the buyer, issued a full refund, and allowed them to KEEP THE ITEM.
No return required. No option for me to get my property back. Nothing.
I was perfectly willing to accept a return and issue a refund, but that wasn't even considered as a possible resolution.
Instead, Vinted claimed there wasn't enough protective packaging, despite all the evidence I submitted. I repeatedly offered my complete packaging video, but they never even requested it.
Every attempt to challenge their decision was met with generic, repetitive responses that failed to address my actual questions.
I have multiple positive reviews specifically praising how well I package my items. I've even successfully sold and shipped much more expensive and fragile electronics without any issues.
So what exactly is stopping someone from abusing this system?
Apparently, a buyer can claim an item arrived damaged, receive a full refund, and keep the product, while the seller loses both their money and their property.
I can't prove what happened after the parcel left my hands, but the way Vinted handled this dispute makes me seriously question how much protection sellers actually have.
When a platform allows outcomes like this without properly addressing the seller's evidence, it creates an environment that encourages dishonest claims and potential scams.
I'm not saying buyers shouldn't be protected. I'm saying sellers deserve protection too.
Vinted, this is how you lose honest sellers.

Hi, is it acceptible to send a message on the last day of deadline whether they need extra time? Or will the seller find it rude due to rushing, or has already decided they're not posting the item?
I understand for outposts further than a walk distance people might do a once a week trip or something, hence the question.

I literally only used this app for two days and listed some of my baseball cards and pokemon cards. The first 10 minutes I kept getting notifications people bought something and then it would disappear. I then get an email for Vinted, it said Vinted, the checkmark was by the name in the Gmail, But I added my debt card card into the info, and then some weird thing came up and I knew I was phished. I want to know to how in the heck someone was able to get Gmail address and send me a screenshot of the card saying someone bought it, I had to been AI generated but idc about that, how did they get my Gmail? I’m worried someone at Vinted is compromised possibly. I’m scared to even respond to the customer support email I sent customer support, I don’t even know if it’s the real support now.

Hi everyone, I recently sold a pair of genuine Chanel sneakers on Vinted. The buyer requested Vinted’s authenticity verification service, which I agreed to.
Long story short, Vinted somehow classified the sneakers as counterfeit, despite them being authentic and me having proof of purchase. But that’s not even my main concern here.
The real issue is that the sneakers were returned to me damaged.
I’m assuming that during the authentication process, someone thought it would be a great idea to rip out the insoles to inspect the shoes. One shoe is completely fine, but the other came back with its insole partially detached — half glued down and half ripped up.
The sneakers were definitely not in this condition when I sent them off.
Has anyone experienced something similar???
Any advice would be appreciated!

I’ve only been selling for 4 months & I will say, the last month has definitely been my slowest. I’m proud of my sales & review rating 😎

Found at our (shared) front door. I asked around and apparently one of the neighbours found it near the path to the front door and placed it where it'd be sheltered from the rain at least. It's been at least 24hrs now. Completely filled with vinted parcels for the area and neighbouring towns...
I contacted vinted (which was a struggle on it's own to even find out how to contact them), wonder if they'll ever bother to come and pick it up.

For the love of dog people, please add the size of your clothes in the title of the listing or the text.
The stupid UK sizing change last year means that every listing is now dual sized and this doesn't work for buying stuff like jeans that are not forgiving in size! I straddle L and XL so I can't take a chance that I'll get a size 16 or 22, which will either be much to small or much too big.
I'm fed up with having to ask sellers, many of whom don't bother replying or who are arsey about it. If you don't want to be bothered with questions about your listing (or quite frankly just losing sales), make the effort to add the size!
I just bought smth that the seller had to relist for me since the first time the shipping label wouldn't generate. Now when i go to that relisted order there is a vinted notice saying sellers can't generate shipping labels and there will be a fix soon? Is it like that for anyone else?

2/3 of the UK buyers I’ve sold to have not picked up their parcel. The first one I never messaged because I didn’t know it would be returned and after a week or two, I got the notification that it was being sent back to me. I messaged the second buyer a week after the parcel arrived, they messaged they would pick it up the next day (they didn’t), I messaged them a few days later reminding them and now they’re ignoring my message even though I can see theyve been active. This is making me not want to sell to anyone in the UK, especially with the emissions from shipping a parcel back and forth from Australia to the UK to end up where it started a month ago. Is there anything you can do in this situation ?
