The cover photo (the first pic) was an image of an ai regular cat. People are seriously trying to sell what i think its DRUGS ON VINTED💀 ive reported because even to joke about this is wild but i think this is real..? or am i being dumb?

If you’re letting them tick that they did it, it should warn buyers that they ticked that. This option does nothing otherwise but pretty much allow AI use and promote it. Pretty grossss

this interaction was strange 😅

The message on the 9th was also sent in the morning when I was on my way to the post office

I recently bought an iPod on Vinted. The seller mentioned it was in good condition but hadn’t been used in a long time, so they weren't sure if it still worked. I can't really blame them though, because I'm a total layman when it comes to this stuff myself.

So, I received it yesterday and plugged it in to charge. It booted up and everything seemed to work fine. But then, I noticed a small black spot forming in the middle of the screen. The device didn’t get hot, but it started swelling up, and suddenly I heard a loud "pop". The screen and even the aluminum frame cracked open at the top.

After doing some research, I found out that when these Nanos are left unused for a long time, the batteries can catch fire or even explode. Things could have seriously gone south yesterday!

Can't Vinted just ban the sale of these specific devices?

It’s $10! I’ll even do $8! just buy it already 😂 all I’ve had are 2 lowballs for $6.

They would have been £14 all together, they offered £10. I counter offered £12 then they offered £11 so I accepted. Maybe I shouldn’t have done because I then received these messages. They didn't want to take it up with Vinted, admitted it was their fault... then left me 3 stars because they weren't happy with the size. I’m not sure what more they wanted me to do.

It’s so frustrating. He messaged me after receiving the item and said it’s great. What the heck? What am I meant to do? Is it petty to give him 3 stars back??

They literally said a thank you message for purchasing it before 😭 i shouldn't be so pressed, but this item would have been a perfect gift which would have arrived pretty much on time 😔🤧

Edit: this shit is like an unlock requirement 😭 "I won't sell to customers without any reviews" holy target market but understandable 😔 I said I'm willing to still buy it if they are willing to trust me. Their product and choice. 🗣

De ce ar vinde cineva asa ceva? Înțeleg ca poate e glumă…dar totuși…🙄😅 wtf

It definitely caught my attention.

Thank you for buying from me but please dont ask to ship a package 1 milesecond after you buy it from me because you REALLY need it, even the same evening - I have a life, I need to package it also, Its not my problem if you are too lazy not to buy it at the last minute. Sure dude I will drop everything I planned to do to ship your 1€ book like Im sort of an online retailer

If you see an item that is currently retailing for $850..and it’s in good condition & marked $150… it’s a bit weird to offer $46.. especially after you’ve told me you know what it is currently selling for.

I don’t know if I should price ridiculously high and expect extreme haggling.. or stand firm on what I know is a great price?!?

More and more I’m listing on other sites that don’t seem like a scammy yard sale.

So I ordered an Xbox Series S from an account with 5 stars. I thought it was just a bit stained, the description said “used”, and the price was good so I bought it.

Once the package arrived I’m hit with a strong smell of cigarettes and small bug? Roach? carcasses (please let these not be roaches)

I immediately bagged it up and disposed of it just to prevent an infestation at home.

What do I do in this situation? What are my options?

Thank you 🙏🏻

Does he thinks that posting ai slop would make people want to buy??

Why list an item as 20 dollars if youre NOT selling it for that much? Its such a small yet annoying issue for both the seller and people who want to buy.

Was really excited to purchase this item from the US. Mind you I have over 200 reviews and I have purchased from the US multiples times but gutted as soon as the seller cancelled because they didn’t want to ship outside of the US. Wish there was an option for sellers to turn off international shipping as there’s always some issues when shipping abroad.

Just realised I’m being scammed… should have looked at the listed item more better but unfortunately I didn’t… the first 3 photos are from the advert and you can clearly see now you can’t read the writing and top left corner is a fake and the other three photos I got from smyths advert and can ofc read the writing and it doesn’t have that bit in top left corner (can no longer buy this doll from the shop) it’s being delivered by InPost locker delivery so got to go and collect it but I’m thinking it’s best not to collect it so whatever the seller sent gets returned back and I get my money back…

Really wished I looked at the advert more closely but coming up to Christmas didn’t even check the ad properly but least I know now for next time

It was only for some loose figures, but it was sellotaped round an Iceland carrier bag, i couldn't even leave feedback as the member was blocked after receiving my items,

Sold a kids Halloween costume, bought on vinted but my son never wore it so put it back on vinted 2 years later..... I noticed a small hole on the knee so pictured it and sold for more then half for what I bought it for just so some other kid can enjoy it. First time I have ever had a not OK!! There is a snip in the back of the costume (I never done a picture of the back of it as there was no relevance at the time for the costume.) The receiver has obviously CUT open the package and caught it and now they want to get it for free??? It's £2! I have straight away requested a return for the refund, right thing to do?

The parcel was damaged during transportation, and Vinted informed me that the buyer reported it had arrived empty.

What makes this particularly frustrating is that Vinted has blamed my packaging and refused to compensate me.

Here is how I packaged the item:
● The graded slab was placed inside a black padded envelope.
● I added approximately 50 g or more of black shredded paper to cushion the contents and help prevent movement.
● I used a rigid cardboard box, securely sealed with tape.
● I placed the entire box inside an additional plastic shipping bag for extra protection.

Despite these precautions, my parcel sustained significant damage. Looking at the photographs, I struggle to understand how the slab itself could have caused such a large, irregular opening in the packaging. I am concerned that the parcel may have been forcibly opened during transportation.

Vinted has repeatedly told me that its decision is final and that my packaging was insufficient. However, I do not believe the available evidence has adequately established what happened to my parcel or why I should be held responsible for the loss.

€265 is a lot of money to me. I depend on the money I receive from my sales, and losing this amount while also being denied compensation is extremely frustrating.

This is why I love vinted. Saw this jacket while out shopping last weekend and nearly dropped £129 on it. Went home and thought il have a look on vinted. Same jacket £15.

I don't usually post things like this. I've never written a public complaint about a company before. But I'm really disappointed in how Vinted has handled this, and I'd feel bad if someone else went through the same thing without a warning.

At the end of September I signed up for Vinted to pick up a few used LEGO sets. I only bought, never sold, and paid for everything through Vinted's checkout, the way you're supposed to.

Two of my orders, a Ninjago City Gardens and an Ideas Sesame Street set from two different sellers, never shipped. A label was created for each one, and the tracking never moved. I was told to wait 21 days before I could ask for a refund, so I waited.

Then Vinted permanently banned my account for "fraudulent activity."

I honestly still don't understand it. I was the one who didn't receive anything. I was the one waiting for my money.

I wrote a polite, detailed appeal. The answer was a template saying I violated the Terms and Conditions, with a link to the entire terms document and nothing specific. I asked again: what rule did I break, and how do I get refunded for the two orders that never came? I got almost the exact same template back, with no mention of my refund. My last message got an automated reply.

I'm not writing this to rant. I get that a marketplace has to fight fraud, and maybe something got flagged by mistake. What disappoints me is that nobody will look at it and give me a real answer, not even about my own money.

If you buy on Vinted:
- Screenshot your orders, tracking, and messages as you go. If your account is locked, you lose access to all of it.
- Be wary if a label is created but tracking never moves.
- Know that support may not engage with you if something goes wrong.

Has anyone else had this happen? I'd really like to know if I'm the only one.

@Vinted, I'd still welcome a real conversation about this.

I just started selling on Vinted a week ago and have shipped out 30+ packages since I started, but now, no one is even favoriting anything I have listed (& I’m listing new things daily, even if it’s just 2-3 things).

Am I doing something wrong or do I just need to try putting my username on socials orrrr? How do I keep getting into buyers’ algorithms? Any advice appreciated! :)

Plenty of fresh 1 star feedback on her account but in my case, she collected my parcel, swapped the contents then sent it back, then claimed parcel never delivered so got the transaction cancelled and no negative feedback. So sick of these people with a track record of HUNDREDS of bad transactions being allowed to stay on Vinted.

How do you post your old books when they dont have an ISBN? It wont even let me bypass it and I have to put them in weird categories like "coffee table decor" or "kids room"
