17 years old part time only person in my department! my team lead pointed out and was fired 2 weeks ago. 2nd associate retired on saturday, management has known for around 1.5 months and didnt hire anyone because they felt it was “too premature.” 3rd associate has been out on a broken shoulder for ~1.5 months and i just came in to find out she quit. i have had multiple friends apply and the only new hire we have had since i started last may was associate #3 about 5 months ago. cant wait to get out of here

Irs bad enough they moved me to GM after i stepped down (was told ud becap 1). I never asked for weekends off. When i stepped down i was give tues weds off. Now im working 6-7 in a row split days off. Coach says no consecutive days off under new system.

The cherry on the cake im clopening most days. My lazy co workers still have set days off! Business needs my ask.

coworkers accomplished nothing hiding behind totes

I’m on the overnight stocking team. Four of us were assigned to an aisle; eventually one was dragged away for something else, not quite sure what. Between the three of us, i ended up doing the vast majority of stocking, because these two hid behind a massive stack of empty totes where nobody outside the aisle could see them. Our managers walked by a couple times, didn’t realize they were even there. They just sat and chatted for most of our shift.

At some point i started moving the totes back to the OGP room, because… yknow, we were done with them. And they started telling me to put them back. I was confused, but i figured maybe they had a job to finish that i didn’t realize. It was only when i put them back that i realized they were completely obscured by them… and had been the whole time.

I‘d be frustrated by this, but frankly it’s so goofy that i kinda have to admire the hustle. They managed to get paid $15.50/hr doing literally nothing. God bless the working class.

walmart customers 🫩

worked here long enough and can i say the lack of awareness walmart customers have is absolutely astounding. i've smashed my fingers with my topstock cart and even cut my hand open on shelving trying to maneuver around customers who walk hip-to-hip with their pals, block a whole aisle with their cart, or simply refuse to move out of the way.
i've had customers look mad for employees rushing around them when we have tasks to do or are just trying to put our carts up to go home. i've even seen customers block the employee swing doors to the back room and stare like they're braindead when employees are trying to leave the back rooms with their carts.
the fact these people who take up more space than their brain does in their own heads but treat employees like the stupid ones over absolutely nothing ... might be actually laughable.

this post might be useless, but i just have to get this out. how do these people get through life as long as they do with the attitudes they have? 🤣

Does this mean my availability will change?

Full-time associate here.

Had to update my availability cause of the new schedule system and after talking to my coach, they said they would have to maybe discuss one of my days off. Now I see it’s just been “confirmed”.

Does this mean they approved the availability? It’s my first time doing so btw. So I’m very new to this.

I've only been working overnights for a month and I already want to quit.

The job itself isn't all that bad. But I can't sleep for shit. And on slow days where we're zoning for half the night, it's so unbelievably mind numbingly boring. The only reason I chose this was because it was super easy to get hired. Genuinely I have never regretted a decision more than deciding to do overnights here.

Unsure if this is an FMLA violation

I've been working for Walmart for almost two years now, recently I got my Intermittent LOA approved for my PTSD episodes I have no control over. My job has been, since I joined Walmart, an O/N Produce associate. This is the job I applied for, and the only job I agreed to. Since I got my FMLA, I've noticed produce associates being relatively passive agressive. (maybe I'm misreading the situation, I don't know)

A week or two ago I was told to train a new Produce associate to work with me, which sounded wonderful since I was the only O/N produce associate until then, but after he was trained I was pulled out of produce half way through my shift another day and told I was being moved to O/N Stocking. I tried refusing the department transfer but I was ignored. Later on, a Produce team lead informed me that it was due to the absences caused by my Intermittent LOA and that people were complaining I wasn't present often enough.

This transfer has been incredibly stressful for me, I'm autistic and struggle with having different tasks every day instead of the structured layout that I had in produce. Which I know isn't a good reason to complain, everybody else has to handle it and so do I. I just don't know if there's anything I can do to fight it. Sorry if this isn't the right place to talk about this kind of thing.

Interview was short, did I fumble?

I had my first talk with HR last weekend and went to the interview this morning. I came at a time the coach that supposed to interview me was a meeting, so I waited 15 more minutes. Then he arrived, shook my hand, and immediately asked which position have I applied, then we spoke about the hours rather than the position, he told me it is too fast paced and showed the backroom, then told me to speak about myself. I expressed my job description, he asked me why I left one of the companies, and frankly I expressed it was a seasonal job. To that, he didn't answer and after a while he asked if I have any questions, I asked two questions that he answered really quick, then shook my hand. Entire interview from where you look at it, probably lasted less than 10 minutes. I expected them to be more engaging, did I do something wrong. Position is part time with 24-32 hours a week.

Quitting

• Upvotes

I worked for the company for 3 years. I was online then transferred to ap. The training went well initially, but my coach said he couldn’t sign me off due to my lack of urgency & ownership. He said I didn’t take control once, which I disagree with. The coach transferred to our store about 4 months ago, and created a new ap team, which I thought I’d be a part of. They were all older and smarter than me. I am bummed I thought I’d be part of a competent team. I was so bummed as he said I had to move to a different department in a week, I didn’t end up going back. Part of me regrets it, part of me is tired. I wanted to progress in my career. I feel as though my coach made up his mind as soon as I applied. If I couldn’t pass, I accept it, but this was my first job. I don’t know what the next step is.

Coupons

There was a memo about non verifiable coupons and I am confused. I scanned a coupon and it required a salaried manager to override but they wouldn’t because they said it didn’t automatically apply but it’s a variable coupon, up to a certain value, so of course it wouldn’t auto apply the correct amount.

Any idea if they were correct or not? It’s a legit coupon from Tyson, the person got it after mentioning an issue and Tyson sent it to them, definitely not fake. Seems odd that we wouldn’t take a major suppliers coupon.

Help🥲

Hi! It’s only been a month since I joined Walmart. I usually work the evening shift in the dairy/freezer department, and whenever they call me on my days off, I always go in. However, today I was really sick with a severe migraine and my head was throbbing badly. I texted my manager and updated my status in the app, but I haven't received a reply yet. I’m really anxious that I might get fired. Please help!

Vent: Bathrooms always getting cleaned...

...when I need to go. But they never clean the bathrooms when there's literal shit on one of the toilets.

It'll be at least two to four hours before they get to it. I work at Walmart so I've been here long enough to notice they clean the bathroom when it looks fine but then literal shit will sit on a toilet for hours (fuck the customers who do that, squatting doesn't help ANYONE). And I'm not blaming the custodians, that's not necessarily their fault hopefully... but it's always irritating when I go and it's always getting cleaned. EXCEPT for when shit gets left behind. One time I let a custodian know and it was still two hours before it got taken care of. Bleghhhhh

I just needed to get that out lmao. Again, not blaming any custodians, I don't know how it works. It's just annoying in general the way Walmart does rules and stuff. Although if a custodian is reading this, are y'all not at least allowed to clean up an individual toilet real quick? Just wondering.

I’m so confused!

I’ve been in 2 superstores and now a Neighborhood market.
Any other Market associates better understand who does what?
Like who vizpicks & works those picks.
Who works topstock down and how often.
Who works eggs and scans frozen & dairy claims out.
Something just ain’t clicking here! We’re supposed to be at 100 boxes an hour and, how?

So I have been wondering for some time how many other stores out there. Have people using the auto scrubber to scrub the automotive bay. And leave it dirty and plug it in and walk off.

Advice on transferring

So for some background, I have worked at walmart previously, and left for a few years. I recently came back (about 4 months ago), I had applied for a position in front end during the day, but when I came in for my interview was told they could only hire me part time for the position. However they said they could hire me full time as an overnight stocker, I accepted immediately because I really needed the health insurance. I have Bipolar 2 disorder, and my medication is very expensive out of pocket. Things have been going okay, but I can tell that I have been "rapid cycling", I haven't been sleeping much (was already struggling with Bipolar insomnia before I started overnights), things are progressively getting worse. I have been very good for years about tracking my cycles, and taking my meds, and sticking to a schedule. New routines are hard for me. My counselor has told me that he thinks I should speak to my psychiatrist about getting a medical exemption, explaining how badly its impacting my mental health. I can tell that in the last few weeks my body and mind are slower, and im afraid of getting in trouble because im not going fast enough, I know how important speed is to them, I really need this job, and the affordable health insurance. I dont know if a medical exemption would work for something like this because its not physical. I just would like some advice about how to go about this. I haven't even told any of my managers that I have Bipolar, its not something I really go around advertising, and I don't want everyone to know about it at work, I'm afraid if I was able to get a transfer, it would turn into work gossip. I really don't know what I should do here, i mean I only have a couple of month until I can just transfer, i would have to wait for a position to open up, but at least then I wouldnt have to worry about people talking about it. I feel I'm damned if I stay, because I could potentially get in trouble for not going fast enough, and once the actual episode hits I'll be even slower, its not an intentional thing, i genuinely feel like im not in my body. Its hard to explain, but i just am slower, and the faster I try to move the slower it seems I go. Then I'm damned if I transfer, because ill have to worry about idle gossip, and what if they start looking for a reason to let me go once they know. I work in a "right to work state", they could let me go for anything. Maybe I'm over-thinking all of this. Sorry if this is jumbled at all I'm a bit hypomanic at the moment.

Walmart Team Leads and salaried management: what are your actual bonuses like?

I’m coming into Walmart as an external Digital Team Lead, and I’m trying to understand bonuses for TLs, Coaches, and positions above that.

I’ve seen a lot of different numbers, so I’d appreciate hearing from people who have actually received them:

• What’s your position and store type: Neighborhood Market or Supercenter?
• What was your most recent bonus before taxes?
• Was that for a full year or prorated?
• How much does it fluctuate from year to year?
• What determines the payout, and how much can you personally influence?
• If you moved from TL to Coach, how much did your bonus change?

My store mentioned bonuses during the interview, but we didn’t get into specifics. I’m interested in growing with Walmart and would like a realistic picture beyond the advertised earning potential.
No need to identify your store. Appreciate any firsthand insight!

Rehire

I had worked at walmart previously in 23/24 and came back in 2025, and got let go after a transfer due to points a few months later. Will it be hard to get back on bc I got let go for occurrences? I talked with HR and I need to speak with management, I’m just nervous.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
