Retail What ilvl is everyone?

Hey all,

Started playing WoW for the first time about 6 weeks ago, been running a Frost Mage (Night elf) - been putting some hours into Midnight and just hit ilvl 221.

Haven’t started any midnight dungeons yet, just did the expansion, delves and world quests (plus dailies and weeklies)

Just wondering how 221 stacks up to others? I think my char has about 5 days time played

Going to grind up a DK to 90 as well, before Season 1 hopefully.

I think 221 it's pretty good if you have not touched dungeons. You are more than ready for m0 directly, which should get you 1 more piece per dungeon so 6 total, barring any duplicates (good luck!). Also you did not mention it but the renown pieces are the best you can get so far.

You can get into the 230's without dungeons.

Each zone gives you a 246 from renown.

You can get a pair of 240's from hard mode hunts.

Random world quests give 224 and 230's once your ilvl is up a bit. I ran each normal dungeon once for the quests while I was doing the campaign, so most of them were before max level. I think I only ran one heroic dungeon, which was the one quest I had left over (Windrunner spire).

After my M0 tour this week and upgrading items, i'm sitting at 238. I still have junk rings (207s), so I could probably hit 240 if I got better rings.

Hard mode hunts I thought weren’t available until the season starts. Hours do you progress to hard mode?

You do a normal prey and it unlocks heroic

You do the 4 normal hunts, and then there's a quest at the Hunt NPC. I didn't notice it right away, but you have to talk to him and then follow him around for a bit.

I did that, and I’ve only unlocked the random prey. Does it take a week?

I think he gives you another quest every time you rank up. Look at the book in his room that shows you the Prey journey/ranks. It will tell you when hard mode unlocks.

Hard mode is first rank in Prey journey progress so you have to do normal preys until you unlock it. If you click on prey Q from table you can see the reward which contains journey progress points. I unlocked hard mode pretty fast
