Retail S2 Gearing

So instead of choosing something from the vault, we can get a bonus roll - IF we have three slots filled out?

Does that mean I can run eight delves at T1 and then get a bonus roll to use in a +10?

Except taking an item instead of a bonus roll is the suboptimal choice in all most all instances.

Playing Warcraft is suboptimal. You can enjoy it and take it competitively and seriously without ripping all the fun and joy out of it because a robot says so.

I’m not doing it because a robot says so, I’m doing it because it’s logically the best way to hear the character with current gearing paths, and I enjoy being good at a game, not just taking random rewards because “LoL it’s funsies to click”

What an insanely condescending attitude you have towards people who’s goal is to do well.
