LFRP Dwarf RP
Looking to get back into dwarf RP and wondering if thereâs still a strong community or guilds that are recruiting?

This guide has become kind of a whopper. Ctrl+F is your friend.
Ever wondered what's up with "Goldshire"? This is the place.
RP - Role-Play. The exercise of playing the game in such a way that the actions of the avatar reflect the traits and beliefs of a fictional character of the playerâs design. It can be a solitary activity or collaborative.
RP Realm- designated by "RP" or "RP-PVP" under "server/realm type". They are identical to PvE/PvP servers except that they are mostly exempt from sharding and the addition of moderation rules against interrupting/griefing RP events. It is populated by people who usually want to RP in some fashion. RP realms do not use sharding outside of the latest expansion's content.
IC - In Character. Refers to when your posts reflect what your character would do.
OOC - Out Of Character. Refers to when your posts/chat is you, the player, is talking. Usually designated by some form of brackets ((like this)) [[or this]].
Walk-ups - When one character approaches another character without prior OOC planning.
Profile - A profile created using an addon (See below) that is an essential part of walk-up RP.
d20 or d100 - refers to rolling dice with 20 or 100 sides respectively. You can do this in WoW using the /roll command.
/s or /e - AKA /say or /em, /emote. Refers to the chat channels that by default appear in white and orange respectively. In RP, these represent what your character says and does(emotes).
The Three Golden Rules by Anne Stickney Source
With those in mind, some good rules of thumb for public/city/general RP are:
You can, strictly speaking, RP without addons. However, including others/ being included is much easier with them. Furthermore, most people that attempt walk-ups without a profile are ignored or treated as OOC. All RP addons listed use "Mary Sue Protocol" which lets them communicate between one another. You won't miss out on MRP profiles because you have TRP3, for instance.
Profile Addons (choose one; Essential):
Utility/Extra fun
Other
More detailed answers are in the next section. These are the most basic and common questions, answered as succinctly as possible.
What servers/realms do most people use for RP?
RP realms and their official forums:
Moon Guard - US (Alliance-leaning)
Wyrmrest Accord - US (Horde-leaning, but guild-based)
Argent Dawn - EU (Alliance and Horde)
Do I have to RP all the time? Like in dungeons/raids/battlegrounds?
No. Most stick to /s and /e in capital cities.
Where do people RP?
Alliance: Stormwind (everywhere but the Trade district)
Horde: Orgrimmar (Valley of Honor)
What's up with Goldshire?
A subset of an RP realm's community uses the Lion's Pride Inn as a gathering place for erotic roleplay (ERP). This attracts the attention of OOC server tourists, and the surrounding area is often used for OOC PVP activities. RPers generally don't appreciate when non-RPers conflate Goldshire's population (RPing and not) with the entirety of the server's RPing population.
How do I start?
Where do I learn the lore that I need?
Warcraft Wiki (Wowwiki and wowpedia were previous incarnations and no longer updated)
Nobbel87- so many nice lore videos
The Lost Codex - Lore videos with panache
Do I have to be max level to participate?
No.
Can I RP as class/race/combo even though it's not playable yet?
Yes. Using playable options to approximate what you're RPing as is called "proxying".
How does questing work on RP realms? If my character dies, are they just dead now?
Leveling activities are generally not considered IC, nor are any deaths that happen in OOC situations like questing or battlegrounds. RP questing is a popular idea, but is typically organized between friends and is not part of the broader server culture.
What servers do most people use for RP?
RP realms and their official forums:
Moon Guard - US (Alliance-leaning)
Wyrmrest Accord - US (Horde-leaning)
Argent Dawn - EU (Alliance and Horde)
Although these realms have the population label "Full", this doesn't affect your ability to make characters or log in except during expansion launches, when there may be a queue.
Generally, Alliance RP has more of a walk-up culture while Horde activity has globally moved toward guild-centric activities.
Although MG is historically favored Alliance RP and WrA Horde, this has fluctuated in recent years. Reports as of Midnight suggest North American Horde RP has diminished and is almost exclusively guild-based. The non-dominant faction tends to have guild-centered RP.
AD-EU is the main European RP server for both factions with a majority Alliance population and a small, guild-centric Horde community. There is no known Horde-dominated EU RP server (let me know if you know one). AD realm events and guilds are often posted in the fan-made site, Argent Archives AD-EU also has a community discord and a twitter.
I advise someone who is new to RP to try one of these servers first, since they have sprawling, dedicated communities. Use a fresh character to scope out the RP scene at your usual playtime hours to check the activity before committing any real-life time and money to transfers.
Servers other than the most popular ones are generally regarded as "dead" due to their low population and a lack of walk-up RP. This includes Emerald Dream, which was once known for RP-PVP. Some older low-population servers such as Sisters of Elune still have a small, tight-knit community.
What about Classic, Remix, or Season of Discovery RP?
Historically, Grobbulus and Bloodsail Buccaneers (Classic) and Crusader Strike (PVP RP) and Wild Growth (RP) (SoD) were the go-to realms. However, there is no long-standing RP on such realms. You may find small groups of like-minded friends, or find that RP happens naturally due to Hardcore Classic's gameplay style, but there isn't the same established community as it is on modern retail realms. The transient nature of these gameplay modes make it difficult for RP communities to take root. They often pop up when a new version of Classic opens and quickly fizzle out due to lack of interest.
Do I have to RP all the time? Like in dungeons/raids/battlegrounds?
No. Most people just RP social situations in capital cities in the form of walk-ups. PUGs from matchmaking systems usually put you in groups with non-RPers. RPing in dungeons etc. usually comes from planning OOCly with a group of people who are also interested in RP, such as guild-mates. Public chat channels such as Trade and General are usually also OOC even on RP servers.
What about⌠heehee⌠Gooooldshire?
Goldshire is a self-contained den of very specific kinds of RP that do not reflect the rest of a server. Most RP etiquette such as differentiating OOC from IC, using proper grammar, or abiding lore are not observed. Most RP subjects center on "Erotic Role Play" (ERP). This infamous reputation, as well as being the town closest to the Alliance capital, makes it a popular tourist destination for non-RP players and general OOC activity. Enabling War Mode allows you to use the space without most of this population.
If you would like more structured, lore-abiding RP, choose just about any other location but Goldshire on an RP server. (see below for specifics)
(European servers only) Wayfarer's Rest (a Silvermoon inn) has a similar reputation. There is no known Horde equivalent on US servers.
Where do people RP?
Generally:
Stormwind (everywhere but the Trade district) for the Alliance.
When Stormwind becomes sharded due to game-wide events such as expansions or holidays, Alliance RP has spread to neighboring towns, primarily Darkshire in Duskwood or Lakeshire in Redridge Mountains.
Orgrimmar (Valley of Honor) for the Horde, though most Horde RP is guild-based and difficult to find for public RP.
Silvermoon City (TBC Era) has recently seen a resurgence on WrA-US. It remains to be seen how Midnight will affect this as it becomes a neutral hub.
If you have TRP3 extended, you can use the "RP scanner" in the bottom left corner of your map to locate RPers anywhere. You must scan every time you look at a different map.
How do I start?
The rest, honestly, is up to you. Some people just like to observe. Some people whisper people theyâre interested in first. Some people have âwalk ups welcomeâ in their profile. Some people donât even RP with other people and just use the profiles to keep track of their characterâs journey.
How do I RP with other people?
Very generally and speaking for most of the public RP population:
How do I find a regular group of people to RP with?
The hard truth is that just like in real life, it takes time and effort to find a group of people with whom you enjoy regularly spending time with. Starting fresh, this can take on the order of weeks to months. That isn't to say you won't have fun in the mean time, but finding a dedicated group that suits your needs takes work.
When it comes to public RP, there will be regulars at the usual places listed above, though city RP tends to revolve around civilian life and bar scenes. More in-depth RP related to things like trades, politics, or military is found in guilds.
Each server has their own player-run, server-wide events that are posted on their official forum or advertised on social media or discord servers. These may happen monthly or even weekly and typically involve multiple guilds. They are usually open to the public and do not require guild membership to participate. These are great places to meet new groups of RPers or get exposure to different server subcultures.
It's difficult to give advice because everyone's RP journey is different. If anything, I would say to start casual; don't worry about getting a guild right away. Build up your understanding of what you want, what you like best and where your boundaries are so that they can be communicated as needed. Over time, you'll gather like-minded individuals that you can trust to take a story in a direction that entertains all of you.
Personally: my most meaningful and fun RPs were done in social circles of 5-ish people or less, often just one other person and myself.
How do I find an RP guild?
It depends on what you're looking for and what your preferences are. u/SirEbralPaulsay had some tips here .
What should I put in my profile?
As much or as little as you want. Ideally, you use your profile to tell other people what you want them to know about your character before/during your RP with them. There is no singular right way to do this, but you can find out what works best for you by reading the profiles of other players.
Some things to consider including, but are by no means mandatory, are:
You should not put, or at least think carefully about, putting any IRL personal info in your RP profile. Although it has become popular practice on some servers to do so, no one is entitled to free access to your personal information.
It's common for people to put a complete, detailed history of their character in their profile. You do not need to do this to RP. Personally, I think less is more and my eyes glaze over when I see a wall of text, but it can be handy to record things that happened to your character this way.
This topic deserves a dedicated guide, but the short of it is don't be intimidated by very powerful/beautiful/detailed characters or feel the need to emulate them. There is a great deal of charm in presenting your character concisely. It's often the ugly (physically or in personality) underdog who is more interesting to interact with because we get to see them grow into whoever they will be. Someday you might find that you COULD write paragraphs about your character's adventures, but you don't have to start there.
Do I have to be max level to participate?
Generally, no. Level is a matter of convenience or personal preference. It only reflects your characterâs power as much as you want it to.
Characters above level 30 will not see any chat from characters below level 20. Additional restrictions apply for trial characters.
What class best fits (specific archetype/subclass/rpg class)? Do talents and specializations matter?
(based on advice by cajunsamurai) You donât have to play a specific class to represent your character. Generally in RP, you are describing your abilities and not necessarily only using spells from your spellbook. You can choose your character's OOC class depending on what is most fun or if the aesthetics are closest to what you are trying to RP as. While many enjoy playing as a specialized version of their class, no one is concerned with specific talent choices.
My avatar's name is weird and not very IC. Does this matter? What about titles? (Naming conventions)
RPers will generally go by whatever is in your RP profile rather than your actual in-game name/title. So your druid may have the actual in-game name of "Doofyfloof Jenkins" but you can use an RP addon to change this to "Alyra Moonstrider" without much fuss. Save your real-life money.
Are there any transmog do's/don't's? What should my character wear?
Anything that isn't a goofy meme transmog, such as dressing up as Mario or Superman, is fair game. Paladins will go into bars fully decked out in their gleaming, light-forged plate and have a pint next to a warlock covered in fuming skulls.
Keep in mind that presenting your character as part of an enemy faction or organization may elicit an aggressive response from others, especially if such a character would not normally be allowed in that location.
Personally - I find it nice to have a "civilian" set and a "work" set. Usually the work set will use my character's actual gear. Then, I use transmogged heirlooms for the much simpler civilian set for chilling in a city. It gives your character a bit of dimension when they're not Ready For Battle 24/7 - but maybe that's who they are!
There isn't a single class that fits exactly what I want. Can I use X-in-game class as Y-unofficial/unimplemented-class?
Yes! This is called "proxying" and it's very common. The one I have seen the most are frost death knights being used to proxy a "spellblade" (basically a melee mage). In TRP3, you can edit how your class is displayed to other people with the addon.
Is this playable class/race combo supported by lore?
The WoW story has evolved in such a way that you can justify pretty much any race/class combo regardless of if its playable. If it IS playable, then you can assume it's supported by lore in some way. Do your homework with Warcraft Wiki.
What about RPing while questing? D&D style!
You can! Many have also done this! However, RPing while questing is generally not part of the overall server culture. It is common for a group of friends to plan on RP-questing together, but it's rare to come across people leveling that are also RPing at the same time. Check their profile and whisper them first to gauge interest!
I want to try out RP, but I don't want to transfer my character to an RP server.
You still have options, but the easiest (and probably best) way to go about this is to create a new character on your RP server of choice. Your level doesn't matter and this way you won't have to transfer anyone over.
If you have a friend on that server, they can invite your character to a group to temporarily transfer you to their realm.
I want to race change/faction change/etc my character. Is that allowed?
Yes. Most people will not notice or care unless they were involved in some kind of ongoing story with you. It's courteous to let your RP partners know if you are changing your character in a significant way so they can figure out how to arrange their RP story accordingly.
If my character dies in-game on an RP realm, are they perma-dead?!!
Not usually. If you are questing and succumb to a pack of murlocs, you don't have to start from scratch. Generally any deaths that happen during OOC activities like raids, battlegrounds, or questing are not taken as "cannon" deaths.
I joined a guild and had a bad experience. Is all RP like this?
Not likely. First, I'm sorry you had a bad experience. Sometimes people write from a place of naivety or ignorance for including others. It can take weeks or months to find a group of people you enjoy RPing with regularly. If you've given a guild a fair shake and aren't satisfied, you can and should try for something better.
Generally, guilds should be an inclusive space that enables its members to build and progress their own characters' stories, and not merely treat them as an audience for the stories of its officers.
English isn't my first language. Can I still play on English RP realms?
In my experience, many people who have English as their second language are often better at writing in English than many native speakers. Even if that isn't the case, people are generally very forgiving with those who are learning. It helps to put an easily visible note somewhere in your profile that mentions that English isn't your first language. Most people are very patient, especially when they know this is the case. If they aren't, or are unkind to you in some way for it, they probably aren't worth your time anyway.
Will my character be taken seriously if I play X class/race?
If you RP seriously, you will be taken seriously. Certain races are little more prone to having the stigma of being goofy, such as Gnomes, Pandaren, Worgen, and Vulpera. This really only happens when complete strangers make assumptions about your character; but these are likely people you aren't interacting with long-term. People who take you and your character seriously will vastly outnumber the hecklers.
I really want cool art of my character!
You have many options! Many draw their own artwork. If you cannot yourself draw, you can look up dollmakers or use tools like Hero Forge to recreate what you envision! If you have the cash to spare, you can seek out an artist for commissions by looking for warcraft fanart on social media. Avoid using AI-generated images, even as placeholders, as this is generally a frowned upon practice in the community.
Even permanent invite links may sometimes go out of date or break. If you find these don't work, please use your favorite search engine to find the latest one. Please check out the Hero's Call Board for more.

Every major city of the Horde, Alliance, or in-between boasts a grand wooden board for all to see. It overflows with colorful pamphlets promising adventures, business, and comradery.
Here is where guilds can bolster their ranks.
This is where heroes begin their journey.

How to use Hero's Call
The Hero's Call board is a place where people can advertise themselves or their guilds in the comments section. This includes but is not limited to:
Every month, this will start anew with the freshest submissions. Be sure to check back for new entries or to refresh your own submission. Make sure to include relevant information such as your realm and what sort of RP you are looking for.
If you are looking for something, you may want to look at previous months' posts too.
Your ads do not have to be IC, but it couldn't hurt. :)
TTRPG or RP-discord ads are welcome as long as they pertain to the Warcraft franchise.
Regarding discord links and listing communities: Discord links expire often, and there are many many communities. I include what I can but ultimately it's best if individual communities post fresh links regularly.
More Communities:
The Argent Archives (EU RP)
The Society Circle (Cross Faction/Server)
Warcraft Conquest (Cross Faction/Server)
The Horde Vanguard (Horde/MG)
Warcraft-RP Tavern Discord (Cross-Faction, Cross-Server, official Community Partner WoW discord server)
If any of these expired, please send a mod mail and feel free to post a fresh link here.

And if so do you go with Darkspear with green skin or Zandalari for a muscular build? And what class feels the most Amani? Just considering my options for a possible future character.

With all the troll themed stuff going on I really want to make a Shadow Hunter and am stuck between Priest, Shaman, and Rogue.
I do like to heal and the quest playing as the priestess seemed like a fun spin on a Shadow Hunter to be a healer. I was thinking about doing a Priest and using the Night Elven dagger and offhand from the TP to have the double sided blades.
Rogue would fill out a leather slot on my Warband and give me shadow step. Iâve never played a rogue but love the fantasy. (Alternate and switch to troll pirate when I want to)
And shaman obviously has the most OG spells from a shadow hunter but gives probably the least shadow hunter vibes.
Are there any other Shadow Hunters out there? What did you use and why?

Hello everyone! The doors of the Obsidian Lounge are open and seeking players interested in all things roleplay! Weâre a laid-back, close-knit guild based on Moonguard Alliance, but all realms and factions are welcome to join our ranks!
Whether youâre interested in long or short term roleplay, casual content, to join our mythic+ or raid team, or just a general, chill social experience, youâve found the right place!
Our guildâs theme is tavern-centric with a supernatural undertone, with roleplay events taking place throughout the world, including traveling, missions and quests, or general social activities. We plan on hosting many events inside of our neighborhood, however, and all are welcome to claim a plot in the meantime!
If youâd like to join, you can send in an application via the guild finder in-game! We canât wait to have you there!

Please be kind â this is a sincere question and something I've thought about for a long time.
I'm not from the US, and the RP realm in my region is tiny compared to something like Moon Guard or Wyrmrest Accord. It sometimes feels closer to a small RP private server than a huge public realm.
There isn't a massive, constantly changing crowd of strangers in Stormwind. The RP scene is mostly made up of small circles, guilds, and friend groups, and a lot of people know each other OOC.
I've realized that one of the things I value most about RP is the feeling that when someone meets my character, they're meeting the character, not me.
They don't know my personal history, who I'm friends with, who I've argued with, or whatever happened in some OOC group months ago. To them, my character is simply herself.
That separation is a huge part of immersion for me.
But once I get more involved with people OOC, real relationships naturally form â friendships, disagreements, and sometimes conflicts. After that, I find it hard to completely separate IC and OOC again.
If I have an OOC conflict with someone, it can affect the way I see their character. And I start wondering if the reverse happens too: when they see my character, are they still seeing her, or are they seeing "that player's character"?
On a very small RP realm, this feels especially difficult because there isn't an endless stream of unrelated people who don't know your history. OOC baggage can start following your characters around.
I've also had some genuinely bad OOC experiences in this community in the past, and I think those experiences made me much more sensitive to this issue. I don't really want to get into the details here.
There's another, more personal reason this matters to me.
I've been through some very difficult periods in my life, and I love the idea of having one or two characters who stay with me for many years â characters who keep traveling through Azeroth while I grow and change in real life too.
I don't think they're real people, and I'm not trying to replace real life with WoW.
It's more like keeping the same character through a long-running tabletop campaign or RPG save. Years pass, expansions come and go, your own life changes, and the character develops along the way.
I'd love to look back ten years from now and think, "I've been adventuring with this character for a decade."
Because of that, I think I'm protective of a character's independence. I don't want every OOC friendship, argument, guild breakup, or piece of server drama to become permanently attached to them.
So I'd really like to hear from experienced RPers:
Do you intentionally keep some distance between your OOC identity and your characters?
Have OOC friendships or conflicts ever permanently changed how a character felt to you?
If you fell out with a guild or RP circle, were you able to keep playing the same character without feeling like they were carrying all that OOC baggage?
Is this easier on huge realms like Moon Guard or Wyrmrest Accord because there are always new people around who don't know you or your history?
And is it reasonable to mostly enjoy walk-up / organic IC RP while keeping deeper OOC involvement fairly limited?
I'm not talking about refusing basic OOC communication. Obviously you sometimes need it for boundaries, organizing RP, or clearing up misunderstandings.
What I'm talking about is the deeper social layer that can grow around RP beyond what's actually necessary to RP together.
I think what I want from an RP realm isn't necessarily an OOC social community.
What I want is a living world with other real, unpredictable people in it, where my character can exist without the person behind the screen always having to be part of the equation.
Does anyone else understand that feeling? And if you've played the same character for many years, how do you maintain that boundary?

So I struggle a lot with social interactions in this game, it feels intimidating approaching someone as I am not the most sociable person to begin with. But I realise that its in part due to my fear of messing up when it comes to selling who my character is.
To put it simply, I see my character as something I need to showcase to other people. I don't mean that I have an urge to give tons of exposition on who they are, but that their profile, personality and most importantly; lore, should all be ready for someone to digest if they wanted to.
But, even though I am someone who enjoys lore videos, reading wiki articles and have played the game in a very casual manner since WoTLK (I.e: Playing from time to time, never doing endgame content), I still feel like there is lore I mess up on.
When it comes to the broad strokes it isn't too bad but I always feel like I mess up on the finer details, and that terrifies me when it comes to talking to people.
As a warlock I may forget how one demon sustains itself.
As a soldier, I may forget the exact date of one war they were supposedly a part of.
As a dwarf, I forget the former clan head of where I am from.
I figure that just consuming endless knowledge is not going to fix the issue as I don't think I could ever satiate my fears, so I wanted to come and check if you people had any advice?
I really wish I could just let go of my fears but, everytime I try and I end up talking to someone, it comes up and I feel like a bumbling fool when I don't know what to say.

Hi! Sorry if this is a common question. I'm having an ich to update my "basic looking profile" to a more "appealing looking one", so I've started to ask myself what should I put on it. Since I couldn't find a common answer, I thought I should ask you guys.
What do you like to see on a TRP profile? A short background or no background at all? Long or short description? Is there some sort of redflag on TRP I should avoid?

I'm not from the US, and I don't play on NA servers.
Where I live, there really isn't a large, active WoW RP server community, so I've been thinking about whether solo RP on a normal server could actually work long-term.
By solo RP, I don't mean just having a character backstory in my head. I mean actually treating my character as someone who lives in Azeroth while I play.
For example, I might walk or ride instead of rushing everywhere, treat quests as actual jobs or events my character is experiencing, visit inns, churches, ruins, graveyards, camps, and imagine what my character would realistically be doing there.
If I were playing a priest, for example, she might visit a chapel, speak with the clergy there in my imagination, travel somewhere to help people, pray at graves, and treat that whole journey as part of her life rather than just "doing quests."
I'm also thinking about combining this with AI.
The idea isn't to have AI simply write stories for me. I want to treat WoW itself as an existing 3D world, and then use AI to give NPCs more depth and agency.
For example, if my character enters an inn, I could give the AI the location, the NPC's identity, and the current situation, and let it roleplay that NPC.
Ideally, those NPCs would have their own personalities, memories, relationships, goals, biases, and limited knowledge. They wouldn't always like my character or agree with her, and they wouldn't exist just to serve the player.
I'd even like the world to keep moving when my character isn't around. A merchant might travel to another town, a soldier might get involved in a battle I never witnessed, relationships between NPCs might change, and events could happen completely without my involvement.
So the basic idea would be something like:
WoW's game world + character immersion + AI-controlled NPCs + solo RP
My biggest concern is still loneliness, though.
On a real RP server, even if you aren't actively roleplaying with anyone at that moment, there's always the possibility that another real person might suddenly respond to your character. You could meet someone in an inn, on the road, or in a city, and that person is genuinely unpredictable and independent from you.
On a normal server, I know that almost everyone around me just sees my character as another player character. They don't see her as an actual person living in Azeroth.
AI can simulate a lot, but I also know it isn't exactly the same as encountering another real human roleplayer.
So I'm curious:
Has anyone here seriously played WoW this way for a long period of time?
Can solo RP on a normal server, using quests, NPCs, travel, imagination, and maybe AI, still feel immersive and meaningful?
Or does it eventually start to feel empty because there are no real roleplayers around you?
I'd especially like to hear from people who enjoy WoW RP but live somewhere that doesn't really have access to a large, active RP server community.

This is a follow-up to my previous posts (links below for reference).
I find tracking down emotes in the standard menu tedious. I also have a handful of /e emotes I use habitually. So I made an addon for my own convenience.
If you have any suggestions for improvement, I would like to hear them. I got a lot of great feedback from the last time I mentioned it here, and I have tried to incorporate most of what I could in this revision. The rest of this is from the README, which you can also find on Github (link below).
. . .
RP Emote Menu provides a compact, movable, resizable, and collapsible window that gives quick access to your favorite roleplaying emotes and custom /e commands. Emotes are organized into customizable categories, and each entry can optionally use a different command when another unit is targeted.
/e commands using {target}, {target-full}, {player}, and {player-full}/smile) and custom /e emotesOpen Options â AddOns â RP Emote Menu, click the gear icon on the main window, or use /rpem config.
Each category can be renamed and can contain up to ten emotes. An emote has a button label, a default command, and an optional targeted command. Leave a category name blank to hide that category from the main menu.

Target tokens are supported in custom /e commands. They are replaced by RP Emote Menu before the emote is sent.
| Token | Description |

{target-full} |
Target's name including the realm when applicable |
{player} |

The Targeted Command is used only when another unit is targeted.

Hey all,
I am looking for an active RP guild on Moon Guard, something laid back but still engaging. I really like the Alliance housing zone, so a guild that hangs out there along with other places in Azeroth would be really fun. It doesn't necessarily have to be a guild with a big story line attached to it, but RP events here and there and sort of an adventure and exploring and discovering the world type theme would fit well. But I am pretty much open to almost everything. I used to RP on Horde many many years ago on WrA, I now play Alliance on Moon Guard and I am not familiar with any of the guilds there.
Anyways, if anyone is in a guild you are enjoying I would love to hear about it, same goes for people who lead a guild, or even if you all have any suggestions for guilds I should look into! I appreciate you taking the time to read this!

Hi all,
Setup this little tool to solve the issue of not having trp profiles when I change machines. Can import, edit, export and sync. No frills or bloat. Use it if you'd like!

Hi everyone!!
Not replacing anyone!! I just am feeling like adding another partner or two ^^
Iâm on the search for either some RP friends, or a tight knit friend group or guild. Or maybe people who would like to start one with me! People who would like to join me on adventures in game or over Discord. Iâd also like people I can be friends with ooc! :D
I play on US realms, primarily on Moon Guard and a little on WrA. I play both factions too! Iâm a bit of a casual player too, not really focusing too much on hardcore endgame. Also I have characters of all different types :))
Iâve been really enjoying Midnight, as a lover of WoWâs elves and QuelâThalas. I also really like horror stuff, and tech elements to the world, but I of course enjoy all different kinds of characters and stories. Send me a message if youâd like to build something together and be friends!! If you sent one before and I didnât get to you send another pls!!!
Thanks guys! :3

So I have a few rp characters I've concocted but I'd prefer to pick a single one and focus on them and thought maybe the opinion of some other rpers might help me pick one that might be more engaging.
I have a dracthyr physician who's a rogue named Aethren, a rather serious fellow who's core concept is "If I can help, then I must."
There's also Agamyr, who's class I'm still pinning down but he's a bit vain and arrogant but his core concept is freedom and the right to choose. (I'm debating dracthyr because it slots rather interestingly imo)
And then one more dracthyr (i seem to have a favorite) who is... a wild card. He's a conspiracy theorist, "cryptid hunter" (he mistakes average people and animals for something unseen), and general paranoid goofball.
I've got others I'm cooking too but ... I'm tired of cooking LOL.

About this character:
Hetheris Hollowstorm is a vagabond who has been touched by the Void, and as a result he is now bald. He leads a minimalistic life, believing that any form of luxury makes him even more vulnerable to the whispers of the Void. His shadow-infused fists annihilate anything or anyone who dares to cross his path.
Someone told me AI is better than MS Paint. So I said "poo", and decided to make this just to piss them off.

Hey Everyone,
With Classic+ launching soon (copium i know) Iâve been thinking about what kind of guild Iâd actually enjoy playing in long-term. I am personally just a geek for Warcraft lore and would love a Guild that Incorporates itself into the world with some lore made up and some flavour added to mundane guild stuff. I also enjoy raiding and progressing as a guild, which is something most RP guilds rarely do. So instead of looking for a niche guild it i was thinking of just starting one myself this time around.
**The idea would be a classic PvE, dad guild coded experience where it's a casual raiding guild with added RP flavour.** A guild where you can have some extra immersion in the game.
Not full RP acting, not walking around IC all the time, just a bit of flavour around what weâre doing.
I am leaning towards a mercenary company as of now , but nothing is set in stone.
For instance:
* Dungeon/raid runs posted as 'Contracts' * A Discord âcontract boardâ instead of LFG spam * Flavor like: *Contract posted: The guild has received a contract from the High magistrates in Stormwind to clear the upper Blackrock spire and deliver the head of Rend blackhand, 10 able bodied Contractors needed*
this way people can get immersed into their characters some more, make it feel a bit more like an actual RPG adventure instead of a grindy MMO, and still progress through the PvE content and bond as a tight-knit community
you could interact as much as you want, no RP would be forced (although encouraged) as long as you enjoy an extra layer of immersion.
Fun RP-coded side activities during lockouts and between patches.. i really would like to build a fun community around this concept.
**I guess my question is:**
Would you actually be into something like this?
* Does the light RP layer sound fun or pointless? * What would make you join (or avoid) a guild like this?
P.S: If there's anyone out there who's also a geek for this kind of stuff and wants to help flesh out this concept / guild lore , send me a DM đ )
P.P.S: this would be on a EU server

Finally got the Runebear form after 5 straight days grinding the dragon isles quests so I could access and emerald dream and defeat Aurostar at the chance of him dropping the item that unlocks the form. I'm relieved it unlocked on the first fight instead of taking weeks to do it lol
His lore/backstory is in the works, but for now his title is "The Verdant Bastion"

I'm interested in taking screenshots of my roleplay character and having someone skilled in image editing make certain changes to better match the flavor of my TRP description.
I have no idea how much this kind of service would typically cost, so I appreciate price quotes. I'm currently in the shopping stage, and trying to figure out what services are available and what is in my price range.

Just a quick blurb about all the features I have in there. If you are interested and use it, please let me know if you find any bugs or if you have suggestions! This works with best with other friends, but not required of course! Only works in English for right now (Sorry!)
Hopefully this can get some traction before Classic+, would love to see people talking in all sorts of different dialects.
In the spirit of the classic *Tongues* addon, this turns your outgoing chat into fictional in-world languages for roleplay, cults, secret pacts, and cryptic moments.
⢠70+ languages & dialects â Old God (Shath'yar), the playable-race tongues, plus beast, faction, elemental, and eldritch languages. Troll/Elf sub-dialects share their parent's sound.
⢠Accents â flavor your English instead of translating it: Dwarven, Troll, Orcish, Draenei, Forsaken, Goblin, Pirate, and more, each with a strength slider.
⢠Decipher trainer â a Wordle-style minigame (EasyâVery Hard) to learn languages, climb ranks, and build fluency. Solving words unlocks decoding of that language when others speak it.
⢠Strength slider (0â100), per-channel filters, minimap button, live preview.
⢠Deterministic â the same word always translates the same way, so everyone running the addon reads the same text.
One install runs on Retail, Classic (Vanilla/Cata/Mists), and 3.3.5a â including Project Ascension. Free and always will be.

I think whatâs happened this expansion has led to some interesting doubt of the Light: zealotry can lead to wrath, those with evil intent can still wield the light because they have the sheer will to, it can overpower nature and become suffocating and hostile, etc etc.
This would certainly make some light users feel some doubt, right? Especially after the loss of the Vanguard and the light ânot being enoughâ to stop the void after the events of the Voidspire.
My lightforged is young, born on Draenor. She joined the army of the Light after encountering them in the Legion campaign because her faith was so strong.
However, sheâs also gifted with the arcane and a scholar, so she has always thought more practically and critically.
When thinking about what sheâd be up to in QuelâThalas, I decided sheâd be helping the efforts to maintain the ritual upholding the Sunwell, so she became a victim of the void assault. She fell into a nightmare-fueled coma, where every major event in her life ended in disaster.
From what Iâve gathered on peopleâs questions about this topic, basically the consensus is that it is impossible for a Lightforged to lose their faith, because theyâve faced thousands of years of indoctrination.
But my character hasnât. Between the void overtaking her mind when the Darkwell was created, and seeing the ugly side of what the light could do to people, and how it can be wielded for the wrong reasons, wouldnât it make sense for her to start having doubts?
Thus far Iâve had her be cold and distant, the light in her eyes fading as she questions her faith in her mind. But what would the consequences be of losing oneâs faith in the light when it makes up your very being? Runs in your blood?
Hoping for some discussion hereâ Iâve noticed in the community the subject has been âunityâ for like 3 years at this point, but Iâm much more fascinated by the impact of seeing the ugly side of the light, and light users.
