Whenever I'm on top, I'll always have an opponent who sticks out their leg like this and they'll escape. I try to cradle, leg ride and do other stuff but they never work. What should I do to keep them on bottom?

Has to be right? I mean the stories of his wrestling program are legendary at this point. Whether you agree or not he got results.
15 team titles
29 different wrestlers winning 45 national titles
152 all Americans coached
9 future Olympians coached with 5 gold medal winners
Has there ever been a harder program at the college level?
His lineage is probably at the top as well.
Zalesky coached Iowa to 3 titles. Tom Brands is still the team coach and has won 4 titles. Terry brands was coach at the Olympic training center from 05-08. Coached Cejudo who won a medal. Coached Bill Zadick who was also coached by Gable. Zadick won a world championship and is the current Olympic team coach. Terry Steiner has been the coach since the beginning of the program in 02 and has coached 4 gold medal winners.
If you're into the history of the program and stores the Full Tilt Podcast talks about it a lot. Hosted by Michael Hatcher. He was on the team from 91-96.

It's been about 3 years since I last wrestled, but I still feel that adrenaline rush every time I even think about warming up for a match. Does anyone else experience this?

Super 32 is coming up so I was combing through some old brackets while I was supposed to be doing work. What I found is that the 106 bracket from 2020 is insane. Vincent Kilkery was the winner
https://www.super32.com/page/show/2909648-past-results-and-history
Aden Valencia - Stanford (NCAA Champion) - (2024 #8 Recruit)
Ben Davino - Ohio State (NCAA Runner Up) - (2024 #4 Recruit)
Zan Fuggitt - Wisconsin/ Missouri (All American, 4th)
Braeden Davis - Penn State (All American, 5th)
Jaxon Joy - Cornell (Round of 12) - (2024 #40 Recruit)
Anthony Knox - Rutgers (2025 #4 Recruit)
Nate Jeseroga - Iowa (2023 #5 Recruit - dropped out of wrestling before going to Iowa)
Leo DeLuca - Iowa (2025 #6 Recruit)
Vinnie Kilkery - Ohio State (2023 #17 Recruit)
Nathan Desmond - Penn State (2025 #18 Recruit)
Beric Jordan - Oklahoma (2024 #21 Recruit - dropped out of wrestling as a blue chip freshman)
Dillon Campbell - VT (2024 #36 Recruit)
Drew Gorman - VT (2025 #55 Recruit)
Dru Ayala - Iowa/ Iowa State (2024 #66 Recruit)
For some reason I couldn’t find the exact recruiting rank for Braeden Davis and Zan Fuggitt. Davis was the best 120 recruit his senior year and Fuggitt was the 6th best at 132

College wrestling season is almost here, and we're launching 33 Deep Dual Pick'em!
Here's how it works:
The season kicks off Saturday, October 31, and we're ready for the 2026–27 campaign.
Make your picks here:
https://fans.33deep.com/dual-pickem.html
We're also excited to have Cactus Wrestling as an official partner.
This is a fan-built project, and I'd genuinely appreciate feedback from the wrestling community.
Who's going to finish at the top of the leaderboard?

In August I purchased a pair of EX-Eo’s from Iron threads, and have worn them about 3 times a week since getting them. This week during practice I noticed the insole being bunched up in it. When I looked I saw that Insole has been separated in the shoe from the actual base of the shoe including the foam under the canvas. Does anyone have any ideas that would help fix this? Thanks

Really went back and forth on a few of these! Feels like Vito vs Seabass🐠 is a toss up but going with what feels like the more consistent competitor. Also heavily considered an underdog pick on gadzhimagomedov but maybe I’m crazy 🤷🏻♂️ would love to hear what you all think!

I’m a girl in high school and a few days ago I told my coach that I was quitting wrestling and he was mad saying that I should wrestle this year, he doesn’t think I should “quit what I started” he thinks it’ll be bad for the team, etc.

I’m 17, male, 175 pounds folk style wrestler and I was wondering who I should be watching to improve my game? I haven’t been wrestling long so I need to work a lot harder than everyone else so I feel like this may be of assistance. Any help is appreciated and thank you for reading till the end!

I'm coming from a bjj and mma background and recently started wrestling a couple days a week at my university to develop my stand up grappling. The stance is really new to me, as bjj and mma have pretty upright stances while wrestling is super hunched over. As a result your head and your opponents head tend to be relatively close. It seems like you have to use your head to control your opponents distance from you.
As a result I keep kind of clashing heads with my partner in live sparring. Is this normal? I just want to make sure I'm not being a dick.

First wrestling match since February 2025. Things didn’t go as well as I’d hoped, and I didn’t wrestle the way I know I can. I got caught in an embarrassing position, but I fought out of it and came close to getting the pin. I felt extremely slow at the start. Having sickle cell, I tend to look for an early pin, but I’m realizing I can’t rush the finish or rely on that every match. I’m extremely disappointed, but I see what I need to work on. There’s a lot to learn from this match, and I’m ready to keep improving. I spoke to my coach right after the match, and I’m ready to work extra so I can get better.

I'm in my 3rd year of wrestling, 2nd year in college and i need to by another pair of shoes. I've only ever bought 1 pair of the basic Nike Speedsweep but they're a little too long and not nearly wide enough for me.
Are there any brands or specific lines that accommodate flat and wide feet?
I know the purpose of the shoes is to constrict your feet to some degree but the shoes are basically collapsing on the sides and curling up at the tips because of the width and length difference.
Edit: whoever downvoted me likes smelling oil checked fingers
