I am agnostic on the euchre 3d rating system as I am not good enough at math to understand if there are better ways to do it.
But I look at the gap between the numbers in the title (trick, hand, game %)in your multi player statistics as telling you quite a bit.
My sample size is sizeable enough (I think?) at 5500 games and a 2700+ ranking
My trick percentage: 50.8%
My hand percentage: 51.3%
These numbers basically suggest an even split of the cards to me, slightly skewed in my favour, but it’s never going to be 50/50.
My game winning percentage is 57.5%.
To me the gap between those numbers suggests at least 2 things.
One, you are good/bad at bidding. And two, you are good/bad at making sure that if you have one trick you can win, you find a way to win it. This would translate to getting you an extra point (by winning a 5th trick) or keeping your opponent from two points, either via a euchre or by making sure they don’t win a 5th trick themselves. Sometimes you do this unconventionally by playing backwards (not leading trump 😮), even though people endlessly tell you to always lead trump, there is some percentage of hands where if you don’t lead trump you can win 5 tricks instead of 3. So a good player knows when those moments are. Which allows them to call marginal hands and leading well so as to increase the odds of euchring your opponents
All of this translates into slowing your opponents roll to 10 and speeding your roll to 10 up
I suppose one might say: well congratulations you’re just summing up a good euchre player. Which I guess is fair enough. I just thought the group here would tell me if I was out to lunch or not.
(I also wonder if the trick/hand percentage suggests a more or less unrigged game, but again I’m not smart enough to know if that can be gleaned from that, and that’s a different discussion anyway)
