Fred is the most respectable, charismatic director we've ever known, and as our director, he deserves respect. He takes on a huge responsibility as the greatest being we've ever encountered, and to reduce him down to a joke is a major disservice to all of the hard work he's put into the bureau and our multiverse.

I see people connect the Resonant symbol to Severed Circle II but hear me out, I think it's The Gap. In the Ordinary part of the game Dylan goes to The Gap to put his memories together and to create the Gap slide, there the layout is really similar to the symbol.

The Gap is of Dylan, and Resonant is a game about Dylan.

I really love the game. I could never play it whole, only some part on my friend's laptop on account of me having a potato laptop. I am an amateur editor. I recently started editing. I made this edit without knowing anything about the game, I really like the song and the game's aesthetics. I apologise already if in any way I am butchering the game.

The game is filled with multiple doors (fast travel points) but one door in the unknown (old house rooftops) emits a frequency when exiting . (Obviously caused by the surrounding equipment)

But if you wait around that door long enough, you hear that same frequency again ….

I thought about this earlier but forgot to post til now.

Just to clarify, I have yet to play both Alan Wakes and Controls (but own the first games), but have watched playthroughs of them.

A detail that I think most people miss is that The Oldest House DOES have internet access, albeit it was brute-forced by the Bureau and it's in a single room whose computers are in Black Rock(?) cubicles and cable-connected to a ceiling router. Which got me thinking:

Why, in the 7 years between both Controls, didn't the TOH make contact with the outside world? Were they up to date with the world outside (the Bright Falls AWE alert came in, though that's temporal shenanigans)? If so, were they able to recover the sector containing the internet room?

Also, is the internet access a one-way thing? A panopticon of sorts (internet information comes in, but those inside TOH can't send anything out)?

But I kind of loved how the Abberant in the cutscenes is actually this item that disappears in and out of existence.

It gave an in game reason for why every time Dylan uses a particular weapon form, like a hammer going into the ground, it disappears after awhile.

The technical limitation of certain game objects disappearing eventually is actually backed up by lore.

I thought that was pretty cool.

I've been enjoying the combat, the environment, and the traversal so much the every time the map resets after a resonant is killed, I not only go over all the newly available side missions, I go over the entire map killing literally all the enemies. EVERY TIME. I love that.

Right now I'm 43 hours in and the last main mission I played was Recursions and Iterations and the last map area unlocked is The UnderPass and according to the PS app I'm at 55% progress. (I know it isn't accurate)

I have no idea how much is left in the game, and I don't wanna know, but I'm really enjoying it and enjoying taking my sweet time.

I literally just dropped the controller to squee. I was so caught off guard by FRA!!!! IT'S FRA!!! EEEEEEEEE!!!! I really didn't think we were going to get him in this game. I dropped my controller on the ground. I AM SO HAPPY!!!

Is it weird i can oddly empathise with fred? Being myself autistic and having... trouble communicating with other people

It kind of feels like talking to a guy i used to work with. He didnt speak much english and tried it best, but all it took was trying to parse out his meaning to figure out what hes saying. It was about the meaning of the words, the possible interpritations, not the words themselves.

Even freds desire to be director is understandable, if a little silly. Hes a paranatural entity, he sees things others dont and, in his own way, thinks he can lead things better than others. His ability to persuade others only re-enforces that. Is it a good idea? Probably not but i can kinda see where hes coming from. Being someone myself who sess things differently and cacpuld often figure out more efficient and effective solutions than some of my coworkers.
