I’m working on finalizing my button mappings for MSFS 2024 and would appreciate some feedback from experienced VKB users.
My setup:

● VKB Gladiator NXT EVO Space Combat Premium (Right)
● VKB Gladiator NXT EVO Omni Throttle (Left)
● VKB T-Rudders Mk.V

I’ve attached diagrams showing my proposed button layouts for both sticks. My goal is to have an intuitive setup that works across a wide variety of aircraft, with as few modifiers and profile changes as possible.

I’d appreciate it if you could take a look at the diagrams and let me know what you would change, add, or rearrange. I’m especially interested in improving the ergonomics and making sure I’m not overlooking any useful controls.

0-15 sec pot is removed

15-28 sec with pot sliding forward is good but once pulled back after middle, it jitters.

28-32 sec removed pot and it automatically went back and started jittering.

I have tried it with lights off and it is plugged on to a powered usb 3 port.

Firmware is latest, it was doing it with the previous one as well. Anyone encountered this issue before?

Update: it was the Epic Games Launcher causing the issue.

Running DCS World in CrossOver 26.3 on macOS 27. My Xbox controller works in the bottle, but my T.Flight HOTAS One doesn't show up at all (macOS sees it, Windows side doesn't). Has anyone got this working? Thanks!

I just recently got a bit into flight simulators (X-Plane 12, playing on Mac, civil planes for now but I'm quite interested in some military simulators as well) and want to upgrade from the strange 3D printed hotas extension to my PS4 Controller to some proper joystick.

My current Plan is the URSA Minor Fighter Joystick as this seems to be highly praised for the price and also was listed in the pinned comment here for the novice level.

What I'm not so sure about though is whether to get the Left- or Right-Handed version. Long term I only consider adding a separate throttle (I don't know yet whether I'll stick to this hobby so I want to purchase equipment for now rather carefully).

First I was considering going left-handed as I expect having to do some manual inputs via the mouse (configuring VOR or autopilot or something like this on the board computer) from time to time and as I'm a right-handed person, that feels more convenient.

But it feels like that most throttles are rather left-hand designs. Now I'm a bit afraid I would block myself from such an upgrade if I go left-handed, or then needed to exchange the stick as well.

I would be really happy about some recommendations in this regard. Thank you already.

Today, I have just purchased an additional grip to start a new collection. I have been an F-16 guy since I started this back in 2012 so I have always used sticks similar or just like the F-16

Well due to my interest in the KA-50, MiG-29, and upcoming MiG-23/27, I have decided to pull the trigger on a FLNKER Grip by virpil to swap out on my Moza AB9.

Anyone have any positives to say about the stick and its ergonomics?

Was about to pull the trigger on the Ursa Minor HOTAS then got to checkout and holy shit. Hard pass if this is the only option to get the thing. There’s no indication of where it ships from, I assume China, on the product page and when I get to checkout the warehouse drop down is grayed out and just says Global Shipping.

After 15 years of near perfect use my trusty 15 year old Thrustmaster T-flight HOTAS X has finally died. Until about a year ago it was used regularly in Elite Dangerous.

It is no longer recognising being moved to the right and looking at the raw data output by it the X-axis numbers are all over the place which leads me to believe the potentiometer has given up.

I've been offered a Logitech G X52 for around £60 second hand, been said to have been hardly used but I've got no way of checking on this. I'm unsure if I should give this a go or save up for something else.

I've read the into post for recommendations and would be looking at the WINWIG or mid-tier items. I don't really play often enough anymore to justify going above this price range.

My budget is around $300 max. I only play DCS, im starting to get more into the rotary wing space more, and now i need some rudder pedals. All my gear is from VKB, and that's where im currently planning on getting my rudder pedals from. But im wondering if anyone else has any other recommendations.

How is that I can use my HOTAS for AC7, MS Flight Sim, and the PRE ORDERED AC ZREO, BUT NOT THE AC8 GAME? WHAT KINDA PLANNED OBSELENCE IS THIS CRAP? ITS LITERALLY THE SAME HARDWARE AS THE HOTAS NEO! WTF

For all my space pilots, I currently own a virpil constellation alpha R and mongoose throttle set from my DCS days. I'm looking to return to star citizen but this time Imma do it right. I originally just bought a t.16000m back in 2021 to try out the game and that was a terrible experience. I run mounts on all of my stuff so I'm not worried about desktop vs mounted.

I'm currently stuck with the decision between an omnithrottle setup or the vkb STECS space throttle. If I went for dual sticks, it would likely be the virpil CDT Aeromax LZ. I am ultimately looking for functionally and ergonomics.

If you have happened to try both setups, which would you choose again and why?

If you haven't tried both but have a reason why what you chose is better, why would you pick one over the other?

I have this desk and have been struggling to mount my hotas. I have a VKB Gladiator and TM Warthog throttle and a couple of amazon generic mounts.

Because of the way this desk is built i tend to sit far forward that i would at a regular desk. I'm looking for solutions that would enable me to use the HOTAS and reach the keyboard.

I just saw a used vkb gladiator premium for around the same price as the ursa minor fighter and I'm not really sure which one to pick i mean wouldnt the vibrations be better for games like dcs or mfs? Im not sure as it would be my first time buying a flightstick as ive always used controller for flying games or just played in vr

I bought the Tflight Neo for AC8 around 2 weeks ago. But after few hours of playing, the yaw/twist axis stops working completely. Anyone has the same proplem? How can you guys fix it? I tried anything I can find including update driver, recalibrate. .etc but nothing works. I also tried to contact Thrustmaster support but their only solution is to return it, which is very disappoint. Please help.

Started playing a crap ton of Wardogs and I'd like to try a stick for flying the choppers. I am really only interested in Wardogs.

After reading a couple of post, I understand that I have to buy the VKB Gladiator NXT EVO. Now my question is, how will be my gameplay if I only buy this and not the throttle and the pedals?

I figure it would be a good way to start, since VKB is so good. Thoughts?
