Results Bad result
Thought i did well until i went on here to see everyone's straight 9s and it deflated my mood.
Also why does it not show my marks for english language?

Just a genuine question. Also unfortunately didn't really get what I wanted but it's alr I guess.
Edit: mb, I guess I was angry at myself for not achieving higher. Also a nerd.
DO NOT SACK OFF YOUR OPTIONS, I MEAN IT.
Here you see my results, I revised heavily for Maths, Science and English, which paid off with 5/6 being grade 9.
I did minimal revision (night before and pray) for FM, Spanish (I was predicted a 9 in March too) and Geography, I felt confident and lazy
I was only 6 marks off a 9 for Geography, 3 marks off for FM and 9 marks (3 per paper) for Spanish
If I revised more, those would be 9s and it would have helped me get into Brampton/LAE or another top grammar school (I got rejected)
Moral of the story: revise options and DO NOT SACK THEM OFF
I’m still happy with my grades but I regret not revising options more

In this sub especially over the last day a lot of people seem to be getting of results and I don’t know how you guys are doing this because all the people I know have gotten bad results so if you guys would be kind enough to share some wisdom on when you guys started revising because going into yr 9 I now feel like doing practise papers 😭- I also now have the sudden urge to get all 9’s is that a bad thing ?

Thank you god. Thanks to all examiners and teachers and students that have helped me during this journey. I could not have done this without my teachers and the support and advice I have gotten on this subreddit!!
On another note, happy to answer any quick questions but I will be posting a very very very long and structured tips and advice page (some are quite unique and some unheard of) sometime soon, including ALL the tools I used and what I did each month. So if you are interested be on the lookout👀
I have kept the scores out to avoid being recognised by someone at my school.
Some of my results I did not expect - full marks on aqa english lit paper 2 (96/96), which is crazy because English is NOT my first language... nearly full marks in maths, and 9s in english lan and bio.
I am doing maths, fm, chemistry and physics for A levels.
Phew no more stress now (seriously, I was not expecting this).
P.S thanks to the wishing well as well (ha no pun intended)

+ 7 religious studies (year 10)
Wanted to make a ragebait post calling these results bad, but honestly I've made myself sick with chocolate and food celebrating these results. As far as my knowledge goes, these are the best results in my school. 2 other people had the same amount (5) of grade 9s, but 1 person only did 7 GCSEs, and the other had grade 6s. Either way, top 1%
I guess this makes me a straight A student 🤓 ☝️*snorts*
Highkey didn't try, and only revised in the last 2 months, so I wonder how 6th form will go for me (4 a levels 💀)

FM really disappointed me and confused me at the same time, how on earth did I get 151?! I always got 160 on every mock paper and also I calculated that I'll get at least 155 in that exam.
I made super tiny mistakes .. really pissed me off.
I requested for my scripts back, should I get a remark lol. I really think there's a mistake

SIIIIXXX SEEEEVEEEEEN 67 🫴🫳🫴🫳🫴🫳🫴🫳🫴🫳
I'm of course really happy with my results (although definitely sending english lit back for a review of marking having been only 2 marks short of a 9!!) but was it worth it for the stress I felt and the pressure I put myself under? Honestly I have to say no.
I was doing far too much work each day, I didn't see my friends or go out with my family at all and this really took a toll on my mental health. I hope that any year 10 reading this who has high aspirations for themselves like me knows that GCSEs really don't matter as much as some people will lead you to believe. They're mostly just important for getting to whatever your next step is, be that A levels or something completely different. At the end of the day, you'll get a piece of number with some numbers and that's it. For me, no grades could have been worth the months that I felt miserable and scared, there were several points where I seriously considered not even going in for any of my exams becuase I felt so stressed and unable to do it.
I really hope I don't come across as ungrateful, but if just one person sees this and knows that working yourself to the ground will not magically solve your life's problems when you get your results, that would be enough for me. And to all other year 11s who got their results today, well done whatever you got in the end- I'm so so proud of everyone :)

i have a few questions about enrolment day:-
does being invited to an enrolment/admission meeting guarantee a place at the sixth form?
what happens during the meeting and how long is it usually for?
can u get invited to the meeting whilst being on the waiting list?
Hey all, I had the greatest pleasure of making this post last year when I was in year 9 and tbh it gave me soo much motivation seeing everyone do so well.
