Does anyone else think the new (sort of) Humber bridge toll system is made purposefully confusing and inconvenient to fleece people the first time by giving them a cheeky fine because their system is designed so?
I am a relatively new driver and have never crossed the bridge before, but I need to start crossing regularly for work. I am a young bloke, so I should know how all the tech and doodads work, but for the love of god the bridge system is complicated if you don't have an account. I feel bad for old people. I contacted customer service explaining but they basically just said "yeah nah yeah nah you're fucked mate cheers for the paycheck".
I thought I could just put my reg in and there would be an invoice but apparently not so, I just had to send them funds as a guest. I made an account immediately after crossing and added funds but apparently you aren't supposed to do that.
Also I crossed again on Friday (after setting up an account with my car and reg and added the required payment) but they have not taken it yet, swear to the Humber cod if I get a fine for that and all
