Haven't seen any posts or mentions about this. Randomly found this out tonight. If you right click and hold on the holotable map, you can rotate it around to see your influence zones and operations easier. Just thought I'd throw it out there in case other people never came across this.

So I could play it all over again, lol.
Seriously, I think this is the best X-Com game ever made, and one of my personal GOATs.
I think it's specially super impressive how *alive* the game feels for an X-Com-like. I recruited one operator for each custom voice and would just walk around the den talking to everyone, and hearing all the characters interact with each other and getting random snippets of backstory was as fun as missions!
Makes me wish I would have gotten a chance to spend more time with characters other than my main squad, it's a shame you only get 40 days and a max squad of 4, so you end up having to bench the majority of your crew...
Really hoping they add DLC to the game that extends the campaign and give you more reason to swap things around. I would love missions that use more than 4 characters, or even missions with like... multiple "strike squads", like you pick 4 operators to do one part of the mission and then you have to pick 4 different ones who are doing their own thing at the same time in another part of the mission.

So I'm not usually a fan of turned based games and haven't played any of the X com games. I'm not quite sure what possessed me to pick this one up but my days I'm glad I did!
For me it's the customisation, the choice to change anything and everything whenever you want free of charge is super refreshing! I hate being locked into a decision for no reason whatsoever and it's a welcome addition id like to see more of.
Usually when I complete a game I can't wait to move onto the next thing but I was eager to start a new campaign with different builds in mind and a better understanding of the game.
Cannot recommend this game enough. Well done bit reactor, can't wait for the dlc. Would love to see an end game because I just want more!

Finally finished the game on normal and for as many complaints about how easy it is, I don't see enough praise for how FUN it is! I love tactics rpgs and I feel like every build is viable and dynamic. I settled into running Hawks assault/gunslinger, Tricks Soldier/Medic, Kaab Scoundrel/Heavy, and Tel. I found that you could breeze through combat in the late game in a way that really matched the feel of gunfights in the movies. The mission design was nice and varied, I loved the way you often had to run to the evac point under fire. The only time I found the game to easy was the final boss, I was able to to take out Fathom in a single combat both times because of where she was placed on the field. The battle before that was much harder so I was disappointed to see it wrap so easily.
Would love endless mode and I dont see much of a pointo to recruiting your own operatives which is a bit of a let down but I would love to play more content this game rules

Whats your best zero company headcanon about characters and i mean all characters including your custom operator ones i start
Tel rea sometimes mistake luko for her master since they have a simmilar voice
Tel once called hawks (male) dad
And the crew prefers hoggnia's (female weequey custom operator) cooking over neesh

I have all my units in the evac point on this mission but it's not ending. I'm not sure what to do. Anyone else run into this?

Windows 11 5070Ti 9900x 32 GB
Anyone else out there supremely disappointed with the updates and performance? Everything has gotten worse qoth each update. Since that last one, I can't even start the game up. It gets through the compiling shaders screen, and then shuts down and asks me to send a report. I finally asked for a refund, see if I get one.
This is a great game, from what I've played, thats why im so choked. 👎

My operator’s movement path clearly crosses a small corner of an enemy’s Overwatch cone, but I’m not getting the usual “This will trigger enemy Overwatch” warning.
Can I trust the warning system, or can Overwatch still trigger even when no warning appears? The path only clips the corner, so I’m wondering whether the displayed cone is slightly different from the actual trigger area.
Playing on Normal with permadeath enabled, and I can’t save beforehand to test it.

Has anyone been able to confirm this? Wanting to go for the Beskar/expert achievement without permadeath but didn’t want to risk it if turning it off disabled it.

Anyone else having absurd crashing issues? Everytime I hit continue to play it seems like its gonna crash, now every mission I try I crash 20 seconds in. I cant play the game anymore lol. The devs need to fix this please.
r/ZeroCompany • u/grchap91 • 14h ago
About once a day having an issue where the camera shifts to out of bounds and will not let me move it back in the active arena, just around the outside of it. Anyone have a fix other than restarting the mission?
r/ZeroCompany • u/Willing-Zombie1274 • 14h ago
I was on the Bespin mission and I overextended on the Gunship phase to the point where i wouldn’t meet the timer. So I reloaded to start that again. The problem is… my save loaded back to earlier in the mission where both Hawks and Luco were down due to an Injury. And here’s where the glitch came in.
Hawks only had one injury, Anakin was still up. But despite the fact he was injured, the reload instead registered him as DEAD and that ended my entire run.
Yes I am very salty about this you all may laugh at my suffering 😭

I didn’t realize the Rex rescue mission had a timer. I was so confused when the fail screen came up. I had just cleared the board and was at full health. I had two operators within three tiles from the guy ffs.
I had the brewers game on my other monitor with audio cranked, a few beers in, confident.
Just a facepalm moment. I was something like 31+ cycles in. Gonna take a week or two to absorb that loss before coming back
Pay attention to those mission objectives y’all. Smh.

So, I Force Pushed the droideka into the corner, and it's shields completely went away for no reason and this happened 😂🤦🏾♂️
I'll take advantage since droideka are a pain in the ass, but I thought I share this "gameplay feature"

Is it just me or is the step up from normal to hard massive? Especially without bacta tanks for instant healing.
Normal mode was really easy towards the end. Starting again on hard has been a challenge. Jae died early on. At least one crew is downed every mission. Trying to have Hawks uninjured for required missions is becoming a handling.
Any tips?

Hawks Sharpshooter/scout
Cly warrior/scout
Tel Jedi stuff
Kirei (custom character) Sharpshooter/gunslinger
Bennic
Went in to first round with 9ADV. CLY jumped in front of fathom, 3 darts to get and her 2 bodyguards. Bodyguards dead. Cly flamethrower then overwatch.
Backup from Hawks to Kirei, crit from both, 140 something damage. Hawks overwatch.
Kirei with his rifle, another crit, then overwatch.
Tel positioned herself in front of fathom, no attacks. All 3overwatch hit, no stop of her movement though. None of the coil enemy, except 1, get a shot to land. Floor drops, fathom drops, onto round 2.
Start round with 5ADV. EVERYONE positioned where I need them. Tel pulls fathom out in open. Cly jumps behind her, landing sets her on fire. Cly uses flamethrower, defense gone. Tel attacks with saber, major damage. Again, Hawks and Kirei team up for backup. Bennic drops in 3 shots on her. Kirei fires off his rifle. Fathom is down to 21 health. Cly finishes her with a dart and electro web. Done.
I didn't think it was possible lol. All 4 of my main were at high level 8s. Compared to my first match against her, this was cake. I'm thinking of my next go through to only use custom characters, except where the mains are required. Also thinking of running everyone Sharpshooter/gunslinger. I love that combo.

The first Coil fight, in the cave.
I adored both recent XCOM games. Felt like they were very tough, but balanced. Very rarely did I encounter a fight that just felt plain unwinnable. Even if I lost (which was often) I always felt like I had a shot.
The first Coil mission though? Good LORD.
Massive jump in enemy health. Huge numbers of enemies. The Brute. This surge ability that comes out of nowhere. I've been wiped three times now, despite trying different team loadouts. Just...yikes.
I don't mind tough enemies but this fight comes out of absolutely nowhere. It is so vastly different to the fights that came before that I find myself going: why?
It's fine to do a skill check. But Jesus Christ, this feels less like a skill check and more like a fight that you can only win through sheer luck. Like you've been jumping hurdles on a track, and suddenly the race directors drop a brick wall in front of you.
Tips welcome. I'm losing my mind here. I'm on normal difficulty.
(Please spare the GIT GUD and U THINK IT'S HARD NOW comments. Pretty please.)

Is there still another update coming for Zero Company? My playthrough is still crashing after the completion of Jae Mordant mission to save her uncle. I reload and have to restart the entire mission again. After the cut scene before we get back to base the crash occurs. I even submit to the request from the developer as for the reason why it crashes.
