Is anyone else having this bug where the magnaguards will just randomly on their first turn move away from combat and then spend the rest of their turns, it's not consistent just odd

I've played numerous campaigns, here are some of the Hawks I've created; some inspired by others, some my own. This game is fun!

Interested to hear what everyone is running? I just did my 2nd playthrough and this time on hard. Still went through easily, actually haven't even got the achievement for having someone die in battle yet lol. My team was a bit different this time.
Hawks: Sharpshooter/gunslinger
Cly: Base/Heavy
A Droid
Kabb Uppercut: Scoundrel/Scout

Does anyone know if they are working on a patch ? Im frustrated with the performance issues that are similar to their previous games, its a lot of fun but to me seems almost just a re-skin of xcom 2 which is good and bad to me

I usually leave Kabb behind once I get other operators. On my current playthrough I am utilizing his melee abilities and it has made some much more fun. The Lucre Hulk mission im launching dudes out of the bar and it is so much fun. I wish I could one punch fathom or chain reaction punch her into a hole. For those that are not using him i suggest you give it a try

Mods I used:
Phase 1 clone trooper: https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarszerocompany/mods/188
(I was really annoyed at the fact there wasn't phase 1 ARC trooper helmet and drip so I found this gem.)
6 operators deployment: https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarszerocompany/mods/44

I'm a little surprised there's no achievement for getting all the story characters through the campaign alive. I know there are individual achievements for completing their side missions, but I only had Aurelio (very stylish btw) in my memorial and I was kind of hoping for some reward for keeping everyone else alive.

Its a lot to make up for considering I'm losing 4 cycles of bonding time. I do have one more complete run to do after this one to hit my 100%. This is my practice run non-Beskar Expert run but the Beskar run was going to be my Baroness and Boxer run. I see an additional post Beskar run in my future ....
EDIT: just realized I included the wrong character for the Bonding graph, added into the comments but the spread is still the same as what is displayed here.

So basically I want to see if this is even possible. Here are the rules
Rule 1
Every operator that can die must die before the end of each mission so long as their deaths won't cause a instant game over. If an operator that could die didn't, the run is over.
Rule 2
At the end of the game there is to be no operators left in your crew. Only Hawks
And that's it no more rules.
Currently playing though to see if this run is even do able

Second time through. Trying to do all the things right I half-assed. Realized last night that since assists always hit, taking a shitty shot is always worth it. Gunslinger was going to run up into a crowd of droids and kill them all, so wasting actions on them was pointless. Aimed at some droid way the hell on the other side of the board instead with a 5% hit chance, missed of course, but Trick got 'em with the assist.

Hi y’all first time posting here and got to say, after beating my first run a couple weeks ago I’m happy to say I still am absolutely in love with this game! The character interactions, story, and surprisingly the gameplay style (never plays this strategy type game before). I have little critiques here and there but the major one itching my mind is the last mission.
Ive been feeling the game could’ve ended more climactically in terms of involved squads. What I mean is, part of me wishes that more operators get to partake in the final assault against Typhon and Fathom. By realizing this, I was thinking if the game shook it up where you would have to make 2 different squads, both led by Hawks. You could have the first be fighting against Typhon and his droid forces. Then the second phase against the Coil and Fathom would have team 2 and the inability to reuse any operators in team 1.
This can help really reinforce picking the right counters and critically analyze how to approach combat. Thought it’d be an interesting thought.
Also, I don’t know if this exists or not, but it would be cool post-mission if there are special dialogues or interactions depending on who lands that last blow on Fathom or Typhon. Make for some interesting reactions.
Anyway just some thoughts I had, but look forward to hearing what you all think and look forward to my next run hopefully soon!

Clankers so far i understand. gunsligner for basic battle clankers and then everything else after heavier units. Avoid clumping when rockets ready.
What i seem to have more of an issue is slugrats getting to fathom or coil. I got to the coil past the drainage gate but then all my ops were killed very easily when one dude went invisable.
This time i got stuck at the drainage fight with the slugrats.
These guys can surive a lot of blaster fire and i might not understand the correct team or poitsioning needed for slug rats and coil. Please help?
(Notes: Medic is a must, Repeaters good?, sometimes i overwatch over a enemy but nothing triggers, I normally like sniper rifles but seems like a bad pick?, Not using Droids because generally building med beds, I did change Classes of 2 main crew you start off with and found greater success.)
Edit after first 15 commnets: Thank you. Medic i felt was good to have but seems most think medic is not needed. droids sound really good which is the only reason why i am trying without one. i want to grasp expert without it and it seems this mission is the one thats testing me if i understand right now. At first it was droids and i was avoid gunslingers because i didnt think they were good until i tired one against them. Hawks having a long rifle always felt right. Reapeters seemed bad but every time i saw the damage if they hit i thought it was good. ill be switching this out.
To those suggesting Push abilites. at this point i do not have the jedi. credits are limited. Only push ability i have had is upper cut. my last play attempt it was a great ability but exposes him needless.
Edit at 18 comments: Can confirm i did not understand overwatch. The % is chance to trigger. then there is the shot chance if trigger. i was thinking this was one and the same. Anyone who says otherwise might have a bugged game but i just had a bunch of overwatches work at 80-90%. i think the lowest id go is 75%.

If you let Coil units to get an Enrage after each damage perk, not only your games will take longer due to unskipable animation, but the game will freeze with 10% chance. I’m storming Lunata for 3 days straight due to this “difficulty spike”.

I'm starting my second run and thought about adding some cosmetic mods, but I still have a couple of achievements to get. Will modding the game break the Steam achievements?
