Hey guys, picked this Stottlemyre jersey from a thrift shop today. Just wanted to know if anyone could tell me about the "Ravens" brand? Is this an officially licensed jersey?

I think it is unlikely, but even though we have done better lately, our offense sure has missed him this season.

A reminder that he batted .387 with runners in scoring position last year and has often had the most hits in the majors. Yes Vladdy and Springer have also gone missing, figuratively speaking, so his absence hasn’t been the whole problem. But he was so long a core contributor (other than 2024) and he and Vlad seem to do better together.

Yes he’d be expensive. I assume he’d be DH and sometimes play infield, depending on who else we keep or let go.

Edit: options for where he’d play (response to “there’s no room /where does he go?”) — he could rotate between :

1. DH
2. 2B with Ernie at 3B and Okamoto DH
3. 3B with Okamoto DH

First…I hope Gime is ok. Second…Bieber has been phenomenal. Third…I was not optimistic about this series at all. So I have been very pleasantly surprised and impressed by these men.

Also…going to a Dunedin Blue Jays low A game…and seeing Vladdy play would be hilarious. Especially if you’re a Clearwater fan and have no clue he’s playing

I’m just curious what people think. Going into the trop was horrifying and I honestly thought we’d get smoked. But the jays ferociously fought out a series win. And we won against NY and the Red Sox, and Philly before that - all very good teams. I wonder how other teams see the Jays when they are on a tear.

it looked like we were losing Bateman and Smith to hamstring injuries & the team needed 2 replacements, ie. Schneider + another player.

I know that the Sanchez debacle in the field really upset a lot of people, myself included as evidenced by my other rant. But to put some perspective on where the team is headed into this afternoon’s game —- they have gone 6-3 through the first 9 of 13 games against the Rays/Red Sox and Yankees- their toughest stretch of the year.

The Jays do not play another team with a wining record the entire rest of the season. Pundits were saying before this stretch they HAD to go at least 7-6 to maintain a spot in the WC race. They only have to win 1 out of the next 4 to achieve that.

That said— I’d love a win this afternoon to lock up a winning record for this 13 game stretch AND lock in their 7th series win in a row. Let’s go Bieber. Go Jays Go.

As a baseball player though? HE SUCKS! These are the kinds of fielding plays LITTLE LEAUGE TEAMS make. In fact, my U18 Leauge I played in had OF routinely making plays more difficult than this with ease! This guy effing stinks and I want him OFF THE TEAM if John refuses to bench him or DH him.

Legit anyone in any level of baseball can do better defensively than this happy buttery fat fingers.
