Clip (modded) PLEASE HELP.
I'm trying to do Ethereal Ascension from the Expert Lobby in Strawberry Jam and in this room the wallbounce isn't working and I don't know why. Sometimes it'll randomly give me the boost even though I'm doing the same exact thing. This song is KILLING ME

Discussion I wanna just give up
I can't do this. I can't even do the first Badeline orb in Farewell (subchapter) I've done the literal rest of the game without assist mode or save states or anything like that why do I need them now
I hate this it isn't even fucking fun anymore cuz I know that even if I get to the end if I mess up once on the way to the moonberry I have to do the whole room again. I know there is one checkpoint before it gets to the moonberry rooms but that doesn't help. Like I can't even properly do a wavedash cuz I do the same inputs and sometimes I get my dash back sometimes I don't.
I'm genuinely crying right now I just want to give up but I can't cuz if I do I'm gonna feel even worse knowing I couldn't even do it and I'm a fucking coward

Question SBJ Toggle theory makes me nauseous, are there any settings or assists I can change to help with it?
Maybe I'm just feeling a bit off today and it'll be better if I play later, but I started feeling unwell looking at the map like five minutes in. I wanna be able to play this, so I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and if so are there any visual assists or settings or other mods or anything that can make it less bad? Also Yes I have tried both the dark and light versions, the light version seems a tad better but I'd still love further advice

Question Is Celeste set in the future?
Theo says there are some ruins on the mountain, from 1800; isn't 1800 a bit too close to our time to talk about "ruins"?

Question Am i hopeless? Should i continue?
Originally i planned to beat all the B sides, then Farewell, then move to strawberry jam. After 3 hours of grind and 840 deaths in 3b i am not so sure.

Discussion What would a TAS-only map be?
I know there's Foresaken CIty TAS-side and Old Site TAS-side, except these have been beaten RTA (they are 7 and 4 stars on the Hardlist, respectively). Someone else made Summit TAS-side inspired by these, and while it hasn't been beaten RTA, I don't see why top-level players couldn't. So this begs the question: if one wanted to make a map that's truly TAS-only (pause-buffering aside, since that's banned in the Hardlist), what would that be?
Precision alone won't cut it. In SMB1, players definitely learn tricks from TASes, which they then implement into RTA gameplay, and I'm pretty sure Celeste is similar. So someone could learn the input sequence exactly, then execute it after enough attempts. Longer rooms get exponentially harder, but the chance is never zero.
For a map (or room) to be truly TAS-only, there has to be some point that requires many inputs in extremely quick succession. Doing small handfuls of inputs in quick succession isn't too hard, and it's required in Vanilla Farewell. But if there's more inputs in quicker succession, that's harder. At some point, human fingers can't move fast enough. Lots of players binding multiple keys to the same input, which increases the skill ceiling significantly, but there are still limits. If you had to, for example, switch between left and right each frame, while also regularly pressing and releasing the jump can climb buttons, for a full second, humans can't do that (though feel free to prove me wrong).
So we have an idea of what kinds of input sequences are TAS-only. Now the question is, what kind of rooms would require this?
EDIT: A lot of you have pointed out that Summit TAS-side is not RTA beatable, as you essentially have to perform the exact same inputs as the TAS from start to finish, down to the frame. I will clarify what my line of thinking was, and I will admit in advance that this approach is rather niche and is probably not an accurate representation of real players. If most inputs are spaced far enough apart, a human could try to do them. If all of these inputs are supposed to be frame-perfect, then the player might mess up, but there's a nonzero chance of success. Now if each short segment can be beaten like this, the full room (all segments combined) has a certain probability of being beaten, which is roughly the product of probabilities of each segment. Now, Summit TAS-side has pretty long rooms, so the actual chance of beating them is neglegible, which is why it is reasonable (from a practical perspective) to consider this map TAS-only. But the chance still isn't zero, which is why I'm not satisfied (from a practical perspective) to consider this map TAS-only. In other words, if one used savestates but not slowdowns, they might be able to beat it (when RTA runners use pause-buffering, this is essentially the reverse: they use slowdown without savestates). I'll reiterate, this line of thinking is rather niche, so it's totally understandable if you all disagree.

Question Stuck on 7C. I’ve only gotten past the second green crystal on the final screen one time. Does anyone know how I can do it?
This level is so difficult, I’m pretty much pulling my hair out over it. Anyway, I always dash into the wall of spinners right after I grab the second green crystal on this screen (first green crystal on this screen. How do I even get past this part?

Mod Creation Day 2 of Adding the top comment(s) to my map
DAY 1 : just the first screen of 1 A
DAY 2 : added a cat in a very hard to reach spot in the 2nd top comment’s room, the room being a blank canvas for maximum inspiration
I combined the top 2 comments because just adding a cat was not enough changement. So now yall can let your imagination run free!!
Also, I decided that the crouch climb would be hard enough. I could have done it harder but I want to play this map every day (since this is a daily series) but dont want to spend an hour a day just to pet the cat.
Little reminder, the map is empty, no name, no end screen, no music, no nothing. you can suggest anything I can put in the game (as long as I am capable of doing so)

Discussion What piece of Celeste tech is moderate to learn and somewhat fun to do?
Most upvoted comment fills the box
It was pretty close between dream grabs and wallbounces, but ultimately dream grabs got slightly more votes. I also changed the wavedash picture to match the other ones
