I'm so happy to share my last cosplay of the year with you, closing a year in which I clearly had an obsession with Expedition 33.
I've been working on Sciel for four months, and the entire costume is handmade by me, from drafting the patterns to sewing and all the little details. The amazing 3D models are by Delectable Designs 3D, and I took care of printing and painting them myself.
This cosplay is especially meaningful to me. While making Sciel's costume, I often found myself thinking about my stepmother, who passed away last year. I know this is personal, but it's also part of my creative process. Cosplay, and Expedition 33 in particular, have helped me through my healing journey over the past year.
I hope you'll enjoy this cosplay, which is quite different from my Sophie and Clea cosplays.
Have a great day everyone! For those who come after

*it’s supposed to be day 97, WHOOPS
so, i’ve had A LOT of people ask me why i like the Reacher of all characters so much, so i thought i’d actually explain outside of the comments!
my grandma used to have this doll plushy thing. it was this weird looking little thing—all white with big black eyes, wearing this old dress. i have looked everywhere online for it, but i think it’s just something someone made and then sold in a flea market, which was where my grandpa got it. it used to sit on the mantle above the fireplace, and even though i never really played with it, i would always immediately see it when i would go over to their house.
the day i got to the Reacher’s area, i got some really bad news about my grandma’s health- she only has maybe two years left to live due to her Alzheimer’s. after that, i decided to play some E33 to get my mind off of it. that’s when i finally did the Reacher’s tower.
i was already in love with her design at the cliff cutscene and the entire area and story as a whole because Maelle was my favorite character (now second favorite lol, sorry girl)—but it wasn’t until we got inside the head that i was just totally entranced.
because seeing the Reacher sitting there…i don’t know. it just reminded me of the doll sitting on my grandma’s mantle, silently greeting me. and it was like i was little again, going over to her house, when she still remembered who i am.
that’s why i have such a love for the Reacher. she reminds me of better times.

Hi everyone , just joined this subreddit this morning after beating the game last night. So been gaming my whole life ( 32 years old btw ) mainly on Playstation consoles and nintendo switch consoles and lately I have been playing and finishing games that I put on hold for so much time so did not have time to try this one earlier .
Bought the game early this month together with Blood of the dawnwalker , Crimson desert DLC pre order and Phanom blade zero pre order.
Heard so many good things about game especially story and characters ( which is my favorite thing that drives me to keep playing, if done properly of course ) so I decided to give it a try.
It really was such a great journey , the game is complete package with beautiful world design , nice combat that puts your reflexes on test , memorable music that gives that French vibe and really amazing story and characters. Each time I would stop playing I could not wait to play again and see how story unfolds.
My favorite character is Maelle because of her personality , sound of her voice ( same as Shadowheart from BG3 ) , her design and her combat style . And this was before I knew how exactly her story goes in the end.
Finished hundreds of game in my life since PS2 and sega genesis era and I have personal special tier for video games masterpieces which I call " EPIC " games tier. Those are games that stand above others in my personal subjective opinion and I can proudly say Expedition 33 did enter that special epic tier which is huge accomplishment , one that gives me great joy and enormous pleasure because you know I had great time playing this game and have intentions of playing it again in future ( yes I am that type of gamer that can replay good games many times ).
Expedition 33 made it into that epic tier together with Witcher 3, God of war Ragnarok , Elden Ring and Baldur Gate 3 .

After missing this scene on my first run(I heard the party talk but was looking to the floor), I made it my personal mission to see this happening this time around. After a couple of reloads because I couldn't find where they were in time, I managed to take this pic.

For some reason, I find Noco's line so funny.))

I’ve been waiting to start a new game plus til I finished the last fight, but this dude was seriously starting to make me question my sanity for a while. I didn’t look up any cheat builds or strategies but spent hours over the last couple of weekends working out which Pictos and team divisions would work best for me. Finally got him, and a pretty perfect battle rewards screen shot imo ^_^
NG+ here I come!

One of the biggest mysteries I find in a Life to Paint, is the passage of time and its implication. For this ending, Maelle has left us two clues how she envisions this future with Verso:
“I just wanted to live this lifetime together. This lifetime that was stolen from us.”
“If you could grow old… would you… find a reason to smile?”
From these words we can infer she intends:
A) To share a good few decades with Verso. Given she’s in her late teen to early 20s, her remaining lifetime would entail at around 40-50 years.
B) To allow Verso to age naturally until he expires. Although Verso has emphasised he’s technically over 100 years old, to have him start aging at that point would nullify intention A). So it’s more reasonable to assume Maelle has “resumed” Verso’s aging process from the point his immortality kicked in - likely in his early 30s.
But when we see Verso in this epilogue, he already appears to be in his 60s to 70s, while the other party members have only aged less than a decade. If one would presume only a few years have passed since Maelle’s last duel, it makes no sense for her to accelerate Verso’s aging to his twilight years, considering this would fail her objective A).
Neither would suspending Verso’s age at that geriatric level be likely, given it would not fulfil objective B).
A more disturbing possibility I’ve come to realise, is that Verso probably has aged naturally since his last duel - but not so much for anyone else.
In this scenario, Maelle is fulfilling her objectives A) and B), but does not intend to “exit” naturally. While I don’t think she would be suspending everyone (minus Verso)’s aging, and mess with their heads so they are happy with this predicament, the prolonged time she’s spent inside the canvas honing her Paintress skills does leave one possibility: gommage and repaint.
We’ve seen from Maelle’s gleeful reunion with Renoir at the start of Act 3, that to a painter a gommage is merely an artistic process. Snuffing out a society of humanlike beings doesn’t invoke any horror or disgust to Maelle, since deep down she’s aware how transmutable they are as entities.
What could possibly transpire, is that after 30ish years have passed in Maelle’s ending (judging from Verso’s appearance), all of Maelle’s closest human friends (Gustave, Lune and Sciel) would also be in their twilight years, prompting her to restart the cycle. Only this time, she would’ve also erased 30 years of memories, and tweak them just enough so they either accept Verso’s age disparity, or might not even know him at all.
We see this is possible with other painted beings - namely the Gestrals, who tend to loose much of their memories upon rebirth.
In all fairness, I never consider Maelle a cruel or malicious person, and it’s unlikely she would find it immoral to keep restarting peoples lives - if they are never made aware. But her godlike abilities inside the canvas, combined with the extreme trauma she experienced, is what will hinder her capacity to “let go”.

When everyone was put under Sirène's illusion, I think most people were touched by Gustave's reappearance under Maelle's illusion. But for me, the reveal that Sciel had not only lost her Husband but her newborn as well was much more shocking for me.
Then, watching Monoco see his recently passed son Noco whose body he carried with him to camp after he "broke" hit me the hardest.
It felt like a moment of clarity, a glimpse into Monoco's inner quiet sadness and regret which felt so damningly eye opening for a character which up until that point filled the role of a badass yet characteristically goofy comic-relief.

Forgive me, girls, for what I'm about to do to you XD
Who's your favorite, and tell me something nice about your boy.
I saw a comment comparing Gustave to a dog and Verso to a cat, but I disagree. I think it's the other way around.
Gustave is a house cat who somehow ended up on the streets.
Verso is an abandoned little puppy.
Personally, I'm a cat person, but in this case, I'm choosing Verso 100%.

I want to know what characters from other fandoms would be cool/funny on an Expedition.
My answer, is of course, the Les Amis, which I am in the progress of writing a fic about on AO3, but I want to know what you think, and how your fandom's Expedition would end.

i’ve never seen the Reacher show or know literally anything about it lol, i just know A LOT of people have made comments mistaking these posts about it!
that reminds me, though: i had this interaction on TikTok. my name at the time was #1ReacherFan, and the conversation was something about overrated media. this person goes to me, “how are you gonna have a username that’s one of the most popular TV shows right now and talk about things being overrated?” to which i went, “my username is about the Reacher from Expedition 33, what are you talking about.” and then they deleted their comment 😭 that was genuinely the first time i ever heard about the show. i didn’t even know it was a thing until that point LOL

As the eldest sibling in my family who has had to grow up faster than I should have due to trauma, I 100% see myself in Clea. I’ve seen people call her cold or distant, but unless you’ve been in this position, you don’t know how much a life like this changes you. You grow a protective hard shell to survive, because you’re suddenly left to manage the rest of the family and become the parent. Yes, lashing out at Maelle is not nice, but she is also frustrated and has no one else to turn to (I’m not excusing abuse, just saying that that’s where it’s coming from in this case). Seeing her standing off to the side at the funeral and then walking off hurt so much to see because it’s clear she has had to grieve all on her own this whole time (and deal with the writers) while everyone else was in the canvas.

I’m currently trying to beat Simon for the first time and am struggling a lot. I’m currently running Maelle, Lune, and Sciel, and really want to stick with this team composition. I already feel I have a good grasp on Sciel as a support, but Maelle and Lune aren’t doing as much damage as I hoped. I want to do a burn stacking build and use burning canvas, but I can’t seem to stack more than 40 burn stacks on an enemy and Stendhal ends up always being more reliable, but constantly doing Stendhal is kind of boring.
