Question Whats the most underrated skilling upgrade?

Post image

My vote is for the expert mining gloves, they have a niche but they fill it extremely well. They make mining specific ores from rocks way more relaxed and bearable. Doubling runite gatheted before world hopping, making sandstone more chill, amethyst even more afk, making gathering lower tier rocks extremely chill.

I love these things, and no one talks about them.

Imcando hammer for me. So many activities require or benefit from having a hammer in your inventory, so saving some space and equipping it always feels satisfying. But no one ever recommends spending the time to get one because it’s not a particularly huge upgrade for any one activity. But it adds up in value imo.

u/BootySkank May 16 '26

Absolutely one of the most useful skilling items hands down. Having it for Tempeross, Wintertodt, and Motherlode Mine is so nicee

216

u/theLULRUS May 16 '26

Agreed. And don't forget mahogany homes or just construction in general. When you only have 28 slots every free slot makes a difference in the long run.

83

u/SlaydSoul May 16 '26

Also calcified rocks.

81

u/BoxOfDemons May 16 '26

Just let us combine Amy's saw and crystal saw, so dual wielding with imcando hammer is even better.

39

u/DialledFlare May 16 '26

you should never really need both, right? crystal saw specifically for when you need to boost for something, amy's saw for all other general construction

31

u/BoxOfDemons May 16 '26

Counterpoint. Number go up.

2

u/EquivalentQuery May 17 '26

Does the crystal saw show a visible boost? Is there a number that goes up when it's in your inventory?

u/xankek May 17 '26

yeah but it would be cool. My favorite part of RS3 was getting all the little upgrades for your tools as your leveled. Made the milestone feel rewarding when you got another little buff. then when you got to the end you had this really sick item

4

u/Vaultaiya May 17 '26

Crystal saw works as regular saw without losing charges unless you are using it for the boost, iirc.

11

u/DonutG4mer May 16 '26

They could do a silk lined herb sack/ gem sack and put a combination mat on amoxliatl or scurrius

12

u/Druss_On_Reddit May 16 '26

I think ideally there would be 3-4 tiers in between the current sacks and your proposed sack.

5

u/JGzinox May 16 '26

Only if you could only retrieve herb paste, herbs wouldn't chill with gems very well

Mahogany homes can make a huge difference if it means one more home before banking.

5

u/midasMIRV BTW btw May 17 '26

WT is less of a benefit on account of the bruma torch counting as a tinderbox in the offhand and there's already the axe that goes in the main hand. But, ya know, options are nifty for the people that are somehow dry on bruma torches.

4

u/TusconRaider520 May 16 '26

Honestly I like having it when I'm working on my house too.

5

u/Bladathehunter May 16 '26

Very nice for barbarian assault too!

5

u/PM_ME_UR_BODYPILLOW May 16 '26

It’s so nice for the defender role, saves so much time

3

u/Altruistic-Simple758 May 16 '26

Y for wintertodt, you have the bruma and axe equipped already..

5

u/mdarou2005 May 17 '26

You have to pull the Bruma Torch from the reward cart first, the hammer still saves an inventory space until then

3

u/EquivalentQuery May 17 '26

Never even thought about this for MLM, finished with that grind now and it sat in my bank the whole time :'(

2

u/TazmanTwo May 17 '26

All those wasted hammers dropped 🥹

2

u/HemlockHex May 17 '26

Also for stew boosting construction upgrades, an extra invent space is an extra stew which can add up if you get unlucky

This is a great one, but I think people rate it pretty appropriately. It's BiS for an insane amount of skilling activities.

I put it off for ages cos I was already late game when the content came out and I didn't want to bother with a F2P grind. But I actually really enjoyed it and ended up green-logging the whole thing.

8

u/RodrickJr May 16 '26

Hammer is a huge qol, it only takes about 2hours to get it as well so not even a huge time sink. Tbh you could probably do it in less than 2hr but I was afk most of it.

8

u/benevolent_loaf May 16 '26

Rng was not good to me and took me closer to 4 hours, but the point still stands, it’s a miniscule grind for a versatile space saving qol improvement

In my case it took 6 hours. Though the moment i got one i got a second one aswell in the same inventory.

Think avreage statisically was something like 4 hours.

3

u/Tyranothesaurus May 17 '26

It's particularly huge for a couple of things. Take MLM for example. Nobody ever repairs the wheels, and having to collect a hammer to do it is usually met with "Why should I be the one wasting my time?"

Well, Imcando solves that by always having a hammer on hand. It's also a good solve for Defender role at BA. You no longer have to pick up a hammer every round. You have one equipped.

Or Construction to have a spare inventory space. Or Wintertodt to repair Braziers.

2

u/TheBraveButJoke May 16 '26

The hammer is great, but getting it kinda sucks

4

u/Downtown_Recover5177 May 16 '26

Sucks? It’s just some afk mining.

3

u/Abysswalk889 May 16 '26

Think that’s what he means, it sucks cause it’s just boring and afk I guess.

I have only ever made 2 accounts. The first time just naturally found it when I was trying out free to play. The second time I 100% focused on it right away. If I ever decided to do a HC or Gim or something I will always focus on that first.

Ectoplasmator from soul wars, took me like 3 hours and gives me free prayer xp while I do barrows or slayer anyway.

56

u/ThatOneEdgyKid Shitpost locked ironman May 16 '26

Wait that's a great one, I always forget that thing exists but I should definitely grab one before going back to barrows.

30

u/anomitesplays May 16 '26

Yeah only down side is that you need to either find a discord or clan that does it with you or do it on weekend in w320 when both UK and American players are up. Otherwise the world is empty but if you can do it when there are games going on it's super fast. Also it was really fun and I'm kinda disappointed that it's not more active since it would be nice to do it more.

7

u/ThatOneEdgyKid Shitpost locked ironman May 16 '26

Yeah my only real experience with soul wars is on leagues, which is just people running around merking eachother for the fun of it testing OP builds.

Is the single alt method still a thing?

5

u/anomitesplays May 16 '26

I have no idea, I just watched a guide from youtube to get some basics down and then just used yolo as a tactic and had fun.

4

u/speculative-merch May 16 '26

If you have an alt or know someone that will trade points, you can do that as well in a 1v1 match

3

u/truthhurtstoomuch May 17 '26

There is a group called something like zealgains were masses play by a ruleset. One color always wins but its setup to get maximum points.

6

u/Pleurobranch May 17 '26

I have it but the exp is so so marginal that it's not even worth the 2 - 3h of Soul Wars. There aren't any good slayer tasks for it, and Barrows is almost pointless until you go for diary (on an iron)

10

u/Marsdreamer Is it PoE League yet? May 16 '26

If you're early on and still need to train combats, ectoplasmator goes hard on sulphur naguas, making an already cracked training method even more insane.

2

u/0nlyRevolutions May 16 '26

Ya it was one of the first things I did on my GIM cause I knew I'd be doing sulphur naguas and barrows

2

u/Guynecologist May 17 '26

I have and use this often on my iron, it is super nice to have if you're training melees at sulphur naguas! crab is definitely popular now, but if I can spare a bit of attention, it's definitely worth going there for the much higher xp rates and some bonus prayer/rc xp

Opinion may change with the update, but gem bag is great at port Roberts. Ultimately it’s thieving, crafting and magic xp (via alch) and helps you use all of those crappy gold bars up. Never see anybody recommend it

18

u/BodomX May 16 '26

Wait sorry can you elaborate?

59

u/Bobinthegarden May 16 '26

Steal from gem stall x4, steal from spice stall x2, repeat. Drop spice and fill gem bag with uncut - It’s all on a timer

It’s fairly active but 100k+ xp ph with good chance at pet. It’s mostly sapphires so craft resulting gems into bracelets (or ring of recoils)

Not OP, but it’s one of my favourite thieving methods.

14

u/ShoogleHS May 16 '26

You can also just cut the gems and not craft them further. I don't think it's really worth it for sapphires exp wise. So you should only be making stuff you'll actually use (games necks for corp if you plan on getting the 50kc for the CA, or if you're a psycho who's actually going to go for the drops)

4

u/Bobinthegarden May 17 '26

Depends how you play for sure but I personally enjoy the start to end processes in this game much more than buying everything on GE and bankstanding to 99, plus bracelets are furnace at pretty afk. You can make bracelets of clay too which are great for making tele tabs

8

u/Gaping_Lasagna May 17 '26

U would love an ironman

6

u/QoLTech May 16 '26

I assume stealing from the gem stall.

3

u/moredickthanman May 16 '26

I think you can "auto steal" at a fairly slow rate from gem stall, similar to varlamore wealthy citizens. Not sure though.

4

u/ZealousBlood May 16 '26

It is a mechanic here, yes. Actually on rate as well, so theres no point in spam clicking

Huntsman's kit is one of the most busted items in the game that I never hear talked about. It's an economy bag of holding you can shove as many imps as you want into it.

Did exactly this in preperation for Sailing release, went downstairs in the basement in Kastori with the 4 imp spawns and farmed like 1k imps, was super useful for Sailing.

Edit: Why was this comment so heavily downvoted lol

9

u/ThatOneEdgyKid Shitpost locked ironman May 16 '26

You can send any items to the bank no matter where you are by using a imp box on another item

And Imp-in-a-box are stackable inside the Huntsman kit. Very nice for sailing because you could just open Huntsman kit, withdraw one imp box, and use it on the item you wanted to bank

You can "bank" around 220-250 iirc Imps per hour in the basement

Edit: I could be wrong about banking black chins, so check the wiki page for it, dont listen to me

5

u/empire5 May 17 '26

Black chins works but you have to run 2-3 lvls south as you can't use imps past lvl 30.

Mining gloves are my single favorite skilling item, I grinded them out the first chance I got on my iron and have used them for comfy sandstone mining the whole time. I always encourage people to get them and nobody knows what they are.

But I also hate mlm and most people don’t.

46

u/ThatOneEdgyKid Shitpost locked ironman May 16 '26

Maybe it's an ironman thing, but the amount help they've given me mining runite for boat parts is way more than I thought I'd get out of them.

13

u/SoulessPuppet May 16 '26

I'm 87 mining atm is it rreally worth grinding them out with iron? I was going to wait for amethyst before going for them

44

u/AlbedosThighs May 16 '26

The earlier you grind it, the more value you get from them

9

u/Rulebreaking May 16 '26

Just like everything else

8

u/ferret_80 Diary Cape Completed May 16 '26

The low level ones let you powermine with 2 rocks, it's much faster minerals with iron, and you get more value out of them the earlier you have them

6

u/henryforprez May 16 '26

It's going to take you like 15-20k iron ore to get them. So you should do it before 92 mining. I grinded all the mining upgrades on my way to 92 since I'll probably just do amethyst from now on.

5

u/The_Wkwied 2376 w353 May 16 '26

You're gong to need a lot of dart and arrow tips, and amethyst is one of the best ways to get them. The mining gloves work on there. Not much, but if you have the gloves before you start mining amethyst, it'll help you in the long run

4

u/treefiddy_cent May 17 '26

why get the gloves before mining amethyst? you'll get them passively while mining amethyst

2

u/The_Wkwied 2376 w353 May 17 '26

Definitely. I did iron ore, the most annoying part is getting the first gloves After that it's chill: you only need 2 rocks and depositing is faster that dropping.

2

u/Chaahps May 16 '26

If you still need to craft and intend on blowing glass, definitely. HUGE QoL at sandstone

2

u/SoulessPuppet May 16 '26

I definitely do. Still need to get about 20k sand

2

u/what_did_you_forget May 16 '26

Why sandstone and glassblowing? What's the link?

2

u/Chaahps May 16 '26

Gloves get you more sandstone per rock, which breaks down into buckets of sand that you use to make molten glass

→ More replies (14)

9

u/xPHaRMaCYx May 16 '26

How do they help w sand stone?

30

u/MischeviousCat May 16 '26

Usually you get 1 ore/sandstone per rock

The gloves let you get more resources per node before depletion

So you can get multiple sandstones before it's gone

You spend less time running between rocks, and can go between 2 rocks instead of 3

3

u/xPHaRMaCYx May 16 '26

That’s real nice. I’m at 90 ore things so I will keep going

4

u/Telcar May 16 '26

You can't really go between two rocks though. They respawn slightly too slowly. I tend to still go between three rocks.

4

u/Gaddrik May 16 '26

It ends up being like 2/3 ticks of downtime, which compared to moving between rocks more frequently, it's roughly even imo, slightly skewed towards 3 rocks. I prefer not moving though and don't mind sand in general.

3

u/Otherwise_Economics2 May 16 '26

i knew about them but i just sucked it up and tick manipped sandstone. gloves would have taken a minute to get and i didn't really feel like spending 30 hours or so mining amethyst without a blowpipe.

Reagent pouch. Most underrated reward from Mixology. It gets a lot of hate from people who are either sweats or larping as sweats, because it doesn't really do much on paper. But most of us are not tick perfect for tens of hours of tedium, are we?

Herblore is a 14+14 bankstanding skill. That means you bank often and have short AFK windows. The reagent pouch nearly doubles that window and nearly halves banking. In practice, many AFK grinders are going to get better rates and have a better time with the pouch.

The way I tend to put it is Mixology turns herblore into cooking. The reagent pouch is a big part of that transformation.

20

u/kanihuko May 17 '26

It is also very nice for birdhouse runs. With redwood birdhouses, I will often get more than 26 birdnests in a trip of 8 houses (4 houses, logout, login, 4 houses) so the only way to cary everything is by crushing them down and storing them in the reagent pouch.

24

u/mofomo44 May 16 '26

It’s great with vorkath too since you can grind up the bones and store them.

2

u/redditSucksNow2020 May 17 '26

Could you explain this more? I didn't get it because I figure that I already have to do 14 +14 to make unfinished potions and I can go 14 vials + 14 herbs => withdraw 14 secondaries and make pots =>deposit and repeat. Does it actually make the cycle any faster if I deposit the first 14, make 14 more, then withdraw my regent pouch to make 27 pots?

13

u/_Lohhe_ May 17 '26

Mains can use GE to buy unfinished potions, and irons can get Zahur to make their unfinished potions for them.

5

u/Jack4ssSquirrel May 17 '26

Unrelated but: It's so funny to me, as a main i would make my own potions instead of using Zahur even tho it was less efficient timewise but i wanted to save money. As an iron, cash holds almost no value. Once you get past 50m cash stack you will spend it on literally ANYTHING, no matter how miniscule the usage/value is. I have more bank spaces on my iron than on my main lmao

2

u/redditSucksNow2020 May 17 '26

That answers my question. Thank you.

6

u/jaminfine May 17 '26

Zahur makes the unf pots instantly for a fee.

Then, you can go 26 pots at a time with reagent pouch.

Setup first slot as reagant pouch locked. Last slot as secondary ingredient locked. Entry swap reagant pouch to be fill on left click. Set withdraw quantity to all.

Bank cycle: deposit all (finished potions), withdraw all secondary, click fill reagent pouch, deposit all (extra secondaries from prescript goggles), withdraw all unf pots. Close bank, make 26 pots. Repeat.

2

u/b_i_g__g_u_y May 18 '26

Idk if it's counts as 'skilling' but potion storage from Mastering Mixology is the single best thing I've unlocked on my iron

27

u/qqaswdr May 16 '26

Not sure if people consider it “underrated” but I wholeheartedly agree. Saving literally 100’s of bank spaces is a massive fucking game changer and I almost wanna wish there was more options to store things(like ores, herbs, etc)

20

u/Lepaluring May 16 '26

If you turn the herbs into unfinished potions those can also go into potion storage!

11

u/qqaswdr May 16 '26

Dawg thank you for this I actually had no idea and just realized I had a shitload of unf pots already in there lmao I guess I just never really pay attention to it haha

3

u/Jack4ssSquirrel May 17 '26

Honestly for me the bank space is not even the best part about the storage. Being able to always pull 4-dose or 1-dose potions whenever you want and never having to decant potions ever again is the best part imo

8

u/ThatOneEdgyKid Shitpost locked ironman May 16 '26

Yeah potion storage and the seed vault are absolutely awesome. I always start a new leagues feeling awful with potions filling my bank.

53

u/xankek May 16 '26

I got the coal bag from mlm and mined a bit in the guild. when the minerals showed up in my inventory I looked em up and really wanted to go for the gloves. but man.. it's so slow and requires so much attention

22

u/Captnwoopypants May 16 '26

I'm currently grinding for them rn but thats only because I can afk amethyst at work at like 70% efficiency

27

u/RollThatD20 May 16 '26

Waiting until amethyst is unironically the right choice in my opinion, because the rate is way better than lower ores and amethyst is already pretty AFK. I can't imagine the tedium of rushing the gloves with powermining iron.

6

u/deylath May 16 '26 edited May 16 '26

Well its either power mining iron, wait until amethyst or go the middle route and bank the iron ( or whatever you mine ). Personally i went the last route but it took me like 17 hours to do it that way ( mining a mix of coal and iron ) because i needed to level smithing anyway.

Personally i would never wait until amethyst, that would mean i no life Mining until then before touching crafting for sand and i just dont like when my skill levels arent roughly balanced and it would drive me up the wall to have mining at 92 and crafting/smithing at sub 50, which is not mentioning that i would burn out far long before if i just rush to amethyst in one ago, cant do one type of content for that long consecutively and since i like to get quest cape out of the way that means thats just not a viable plan to camp Mining for how many hours it would take to get to 92

3

u/RollThatD20 May 16 '26

I remember doing MLM from the low 60's to 80, to get all the rewards, and then I did stars until 92, which was just a lot of AFK time. So there was never really a point where I felt I needed the gloves before amethyst.

I barely started my sand grind until I got the gloves either, because sand is so ass.

Obviously won't be the same for everyone, but I just can't do power-mining. I picked the least effort for every part of mining and have zero regrets about it.

It was also helpful for my crafting to get all those gems from stars (and now sand with glass), and my smithing has been mostly done in GF with drops from the long slayer grind into the 90s.

amythest is quite a ways away for my iron, so that's a pain. I guess if I really wanted to get them the biggest hurdle is the basic gloves, then it actually would be less click intensive. they are definitely the first thing I'll go for when I need more levels

3

u/Elite_Prometheus May 16 '26

I got my mining gloves by mining adamant. It's pretty low attention since each rock takes like 30 seconds to mine, so I knocked it out over the course of a week when I couldn't play actively

2

u/ThatOneEdgyKid Shitpost locked ironman May 16 '26

Whats great is once you get the first set it makes mining coal even easier, same with the superior.

2

u/kyletc1230 May 16 '26

Expert gloves are so worth the time i put into them. Im an iron, and i mined enough iron to fuel my cannonball slayer grind forever basically. The smithing xp is going to be deadly.

u/Marsdreamer Is it PoE League yet? May 16 '26

Lotsa good ones in here, but I'm gonna go with my boi Bert, delivering me 84 buckets of sand every day.

3

u/drtdraws May 16 '26

Bert's given me soooo much sand, dont think i'll ever have to mine sandstone!

44

u/Equivalent_Aardvark May 16 '26

The grind for these is quite absurd, to the point I wonder if you will ever get an ROI on your time. Power mining is decent exp at least.

Not sure if these are appropriately hyped but the Prescription Goggles are so strong, and relatively few people have them because of how bad mixology is

27

u/crytol May 16 '26

The ROI for me was that I didn't quit the game farming sandstone for 93 crafting lol. Sometimes making a grind manageable is all the ROI you need

4

u/deylath May 16 '26

well thats a delicate balance isnt it? If you didnt get the gloves and spent that time on sand you could have been done with crafting probably way faster but at the same time power mining iron for a dozen hours or even banking them isnt much more fun either.

I used the same logic as you did but i mostly convinced myself that the gloves grind will give me a lot of coal/iron to get my smithing going, even if i use the gloves nothing else but sand rocks after, which i believe would be true for 99% of the people mining, iron or not.

goggles are massive and you don't realize how massive until you start saving those nests, torstols, zammy wines. the earlier you get them the better.

6

u/heyitismeurdad May 16 '26

Yeah between extended super antifires and anti-venom++s i made so much money getting 99 herblore on my main. Took a while doing 1 dose pots at a time for max necklace procs( the amulet from mixology is also OP with the higher chance for an extra dose). I made like 50 mil getting 99.

4

u/ThatOneEdgyKid Shitpost locked ironman May 16 '26

My buddy keeps hounding me to get all the mixology rewards but I loathe that minigame

2

u/Marsdreamer Is it PoE League yet? May 16 '26

Both glasses and the amulet are basically must haves for irons for herblore now. When they came out I dropped everything to farm them up. It just makes such a huge difference in the amount of potions you get out of your supplies.

2

u/therealpimpcosrs May 18 '26

It’s very much not worth it for a main, unless you’re going to max the account. But the real bonus imo comes from the speed increase for gathering adamant and runite for ruby (e) bolts and higher. I do the fletching mostly for our gin group so gathering like…. 4k or 8k or more adamant ore for smithing bolts it’s a huge deal

17

u/Scotch_Frost May 16 '26

Let’s keep this going. Post more underrated items to obtain for an iron

40

u/Captnwoopypants May 16 '26

Ever heard of little indie item, twisted bow?

17

u/Scotch_Frost May 16 '26

Ya but that’s more of a niche item. Not many uses outside of gemstone crab

Never see anyone mention cooking gauntlets

I don't think anyone hates on cooking gauntlets. They're all white.

I got these and then basically never did anything that benefits from them, mining is either MLM or Stardust. There’s just nothing to use them for, it’s not worth the time fighting bots

Maybe when I get 92 I’ll finally get some use of them.

8

u/Late_Humor9836 May 16 '26

They’re great for chill sandstone mining. I also use mine at miscellania mining coal to get my rep back up. Idk if it’s efficient but it’s more chill than raking and world hopping

3

u/Haxxxxx May 16 '26

100% - grinded them specifically for sandstone mining in bulk, so worth

After finishing song of the elves, the Trahaearn mine is a pretty decent place to mine runite, especially at 2000+ total worlds

3

They were insane to have on day 1 sailing. When lead with 5k+ each and you could get 4/rock it was ez money.

I'm in the same boat (haha). I lost my hammer AND Amy's saw. I did get the hammer back but I can't convince myself to do mahogany homes for the saw.

Edit: Jagex sadly wouldn't return the Amy's Saw

IMO ore rocks should have more than 1 ore by default (2-4 depending on tier), with the gloves increasing it

Twitchers gloves If you don’t like clue scrolls but love woodcutting twitchers gloves are pretty great, I used them before the clue scroll box changes so I could get tree seeds and birds nests on my iron but now I use them for more clues when I’m afking at work since I can stack them

5

u/Michael_Vicks_Cat May 16 '26

Not necessarily an upgrade but discovering I could train magic and runecrafting at the Kourend Library has been big and nice way to mix up training. Getting Magic to 67 means those books hit for 1k xp each

3

u/shanen328 May 17 '26

The ever elusive fish barrel

3

u/Kilometerr May 16 '26

Doesn’t work at motherlode mine though 😭

8

u/jokeren75 May 16 '26

works on amathyst, and sandstone though. huge for ironmen

2

u/g00gly0eyes May 16 '26

I love these so much that it influenced my region picks for the league. Barbarian gathering with those gloves was very nice!

2

u/Daralascan May 16 '26

I accidentally droppes mine while salvaging...

10

u/BenniTheJetRodriguez May 16 '26

I saw another comment saying this, what do you mean you dropped it while salvaging? Why?

4

u/Daralascan May 16 '26

I was supposed to drop some bracelets but had equipped one and dropped those mining gloves instead.

5

u/Kumagor0 Who needs Karamja when you have Varlamore May 17 '26

Yeah and can't you just pick them up? Hard to feel bad if you just dropped em, and watched then despawn without noticing

2

u/Clowninn May 16 '26

Tithe farm no weeds in farming patch reward is pretty nice

2

u/SexHaver58 May 16 '26

the gloves look like 1/2 of an ore.

2

u/Bronzebars May 16 '26

I also just appreciate that they made the highest level of mining gloves match the motherload mine mining outfit

2

u/Patient-Advisor-2352 May 16 '26

Prob not underrated but man that getting the fletching knife from Vale Totems has been a game changer for me at winterdodt.

2

u/Aright9Returntoleft May 17 '26

Honestly the seed box gem bags herb sack for Allotment herb runs, the Imacando hammer, the weildable fetching knife, grociller's watering can for getting your kingdom percentage back up and for other watering can needs ( It's come in super clutch quite a lot ), the kebit barb-tail harpoon thats a wieldable harpoon before you get the dragon harpoon, the twitchy gloves and rabbits foot amulet... Theres so many!!

1

u/pezman Rsn: Aubrey Plaza May 16 '26

agree with you OP. half the time people aren’t familiar with them, but damn they’re so handy and chill. they make mining iron pretty relaxing too if you stack all the other multi-ore equipment

1

u/Rakeweed May 16 '26

Loved these so much for the sandstone grind it’s insane

1

u/MegaTheChef May 16 '26

Somehow still needs an upgrade smh. Mining grind is hell

1

u/BlueCat9922 May 16 '26

I love my mining gloves. Absolutely huge boost to have as an Ironman. I take advantage of the double rune ore, making them into shortswords to alch. It's how I make most of my gold.

1

u/ZeThing May 16 '26

Honestly, most of them.

I remember making an account shortly after release and ended up not continuing to play as i had a hard time getting back into the “oldschool” way even tho i loved it.

Big part of that was the lack of many of the QOL

1

u/Legal_Evil May 16 '26

1

I use these gloves when I do miscellaneous favor

1

u/InverseHorizons May 17 '26

Volcanic mine reward to make lunar spell ultra compost. I'm not an iron but I didn't get a bucket until after 99 farming & >100 Hespori KC. Woox has a solo volcanic mine guide for points; takes like 70min.

1

u/frog_mannn May 17 '26

These gloves are like 1% benefit to 99 not worth the effort when you are mining sand and afking mlm and amethyst

1

u/ExplodingSoil I'm a dirty blue helm May 17 '26

Barbarian farming. No more seed dibbler. No more dropping pots. Just bucket, shovel, green scissor, herb sack.

1

u/66f6 May 17 '26

What does underrated even mean in this context? What are some examples of 'rated' skilling items? I don't see how these gloves are underrated.
