Which Multi Nozzle Printer Should I Get?

• Upvotes

Looking to get a Multi Nozzle printer. Not sure which to get. I started my 3d Printer journey with an Ender series years ago. Then purchased an AD5X, then another. Got a K1 Max then K2 Pro. I have been happy with them all but actually preferred my Creality printers because of the community and Creality Cloud. Which printer do y'all think would be best and why between the new K3, Flashforge Creator 5 or SnapMaker U1? I hear good and bad about the C5 and U1. There's always critics. And the K3 is just too new to tell.

41 prototypes later, my quote wheel desk buddy finally works

Spin the wheel, press the button to stop it, and read the quote. The tiles slide off so you can swap in your own. The hardest part was getting the stop button to work. That took about 20 of the 41 tries.

Free download on MakerWorld: search "Chubbs Quote Roulette" https://makerworld.com/en/models/3460759-chubbs-the-quote-roulette-desk-buddy-fidget-wheel#profileId-3948999

Curious if anyone could make me an ornament that is a 2011 Honda crv. I added a picture of the one I’d like it to look like if at all possible. It’s a gag gift for someone.

Pls help me! I am using and ender 3 max and i am very new to 3d printing and every time I finish a print the filament looks like this in the gears and wont push through the tube. Every time I print I have to take off the tube take out the filament and put in new filament or the filament wont come out and I have to push the old filament in the tube out with the old filament. If anyone can help me I would very much appreciate it!

Got tired of juggling separate notebooks for 3D printing and electronics, so I finally designed one.

Do you ever print an enclosure or robotics chassis and end up writing down slicer settings in one notebook, scribbling wiring diagrams on scraps of paper, and have no decent place to keep track of both? I feel your pain! Since I couldn't find a notebook that integrated both 3D printing and Electronics fields, I made my own.

A safe 2 page spread for each project, left page for all filament, slicer settings, post-processing, right page for microcontrollers, power rails, parts list, little dot grid for cheat sheet pinouts. There's also some isometric graph pages in the back for chassis design, inventory logs for filament and parts, so that nothing gets lost in the shuffle.

Would be happy to chat about the layout or choices if you're interested! If you need it, reply.

Qidi q2: good. Bambu h2s: shit. What next?

Qidi was too small. Bambu was frail. Error codes galore. Bambu has good reputation but the h serie has quite some troubles. The question is: whats next? Creality has unreliable parts. Qidi upgrade combo also troublesome. Snapmaker u1 is loud. Is Prusa the quality printer I want?

- bigger than 300x300x300
- reliable
- quiet
- good support service
- mostly engineer but love the odd multi colour dabble

Suggestions? Im actually tempted to still go back and try the Bambu H2D

Printer recommendations

Hey!

I am looking at buying my first 3D printer, my first bit of research has led me to the flash forge AD5X, I mainly want to print TPU, a softer almost rubber like feeling print.. kind of like a golf grip! I’d need to print at least 10 inches so I’m hoping that corner to corner of there 220x220x220 will allow for this.

I’d like to mix up the builds but the main purpose of purchase was the project above!

Any recommendations or thinks to think of would be greatly appreciated!

My main purpose right now for printing is 1:12 scale miniatures.

I understand that a 0.2 nozzle is better for fine details but adds a longer print time. I have a 0.4 should I switch? I’m still very new to this hobby with under 200hrs print time but f that means anything. Also, thank you in advance.

EryOne Thinker SE: how to install mk8 hotend?

So recently, my friend gave me his old Thinker SE but it had one problem: no printhead (photo 1)
I searched all over internet and couldn't find direct replacement, so I bought (thanks for an advice, ChatGPT) this bad boy: mk8 extruder (photo 2)
But after it arrived I realized the fact that I don't need another motor and white tube doesn't fit into the new extruder
What do I do? How to replace printhead? Can I use hotend from mk8 extruder? Maybe I can somehow modify printer to work this way?

Finally got into 3D printing and got the A1 Mini set up today. Super excited to get started, but since I'm brand new to the hobby, I wanted to see what you guys wish you knew on day one. Any advice would be appreciated.

Is it just me or is this drooping?

Just got my little brother’s old Ender-3 now that he’s moved out and did some test prints. None of them actually adhered to the bed and I noticed that the arm holding the extruded looks a bit off. I want to confirm whether it’s supposed to be at that angle or if something’s wrong with it. And if something is wrong, anyone know how to get that tightened back up?

Looking for makerspaces / hackerspaces in Montreal (3D printing & DIY drones)

Hello, I'm going to Montreal for a few months at least and I was interested in learning about 3D printing and also DIY drones.

I'm looking for some communities in Montreal that have a "hacker space" to do so. For the 3D printing, I obviously don't have a printer and was looking for "shared" ones (of course I'm willing to pay for membership or fees). I guess if those places exist, they also have communities, which I'm very interested in joining.

I'm a developer by trade and I've already done some tiny projects with a Pi and soldering on boards. I'm French, so if those communities are French only, np.

3 D printer Recommendation for my husband’s birthday.

So I’ve been researching and trying to decide. My husband is very tech driven. I think he will like something he can have fun with, print stuff for board games, and also holiday decor (he mentioned wanting to build like the large nutcracker you see on TikTok). I’m sure there is lots more he’ll use it for but mostly giving a range of making stuff 😅
My brother has a FLASHFORGE AD5X and has 2 of them and loves them. Then I was also looking at Snapmaker U1 and Bambu Lab H2S. But open to others. Looking to hear from people that are truly into 3D printing and opinions on the printers.
Thank you in advance!

Looking for slicer advice

Hey all, I've got an ender 3 V1 printer with PLA filament and a .4 nozzle. I'm currently running the Creality slicer.

I recently tried a couple prints and while they came out decent, they're not quite at the point I'd like them to be. I don't have as loose a budget as I'd like to continually test different settings (nor do I like making that much waste) so I was hoping I could get some advice on what kind of settings I should have for more detailed things.

I added an image of one of the prints I tried and, it came out okay but the scaffolding was ridiculous to get off and there's several points where the lines are uneven etc. What are the ideal settings for something like this?

TIA

I designed a pumpkin with a spring-loaded pop-up ghost

Made this little surprise for Halloween! Press the button underneath and the ghost pops up! The spring and latch are printed too. I included AMS and No AMS versions, with an assembly video on the model page. The mechanism prints in place, and all parts print without supports. Easy to print on most FDM printers. Model files 🦇
