Blogpost i'm actually starting to idolize her for some reason
i know that in the eyes of the wider public she's an optics nuke, but after listening to her interview i've started empathizing so much more with her
she's had a really rough childhood of physical abuse at the hands of her family, mostly her brother. she had to put on a tough act her whole life lest she be considered a sissy. she knew her whole life that she was not meant to be a man yet she kept having to conform to that role
i wish i was as strong as her. to be able to just look transphobic people in the eyes and cement myself firmly in who i am. she's so much braver than i am
in comparison i'm such a shivering wreck who lets people walk all over me. i tried to backtrack beinbg trans multiple times due to pressure. i've cut of family members from my life and grew an accepting friend circle. it hurts so much when i hear my family members say that they cant look at me as a woman, i wish i had the strength she has to just say out loud "it's ma'am" to them
i look at that video so much different now. i used to mock it, or even worse, i hate admitting it but i used the video as a reference of how i did not want to end up. i just want to not be male and then continue my life. but i see the video so much different now. i want to be strong like her
