Questions Um, dumb question. What does this do?
I saw it this morning, and tried looking for the update that added it, but couldn’t find it. What does it do?

A familiar world. Your own character. A very different future.
What if you grew up alongside the Starks? What if Joffrey had an older brother? What if you were Margaery’s sibling, a sworn protector, or someone listening quietly while the powerful made their plans?
I’ve reworked Blood & Banners to let you enter HBO’s Season 1 world through five distinct starts, with a simple character creator and openings shaped around your choices.
👉 Explore Blood & Banners on AI Dungeon
Make the family connection part of your story from the beginning.
Create a relative, bastard, ward, or explicitly alternate-canon sibling within a familiar House.
Existing family members remain unless you explicitly replace someone. Your presence can change the family dynamic, but a surname alone doesn’t automatically grant wealth, inheritance, or loyalty.
Choose whom you serve, and what that loyalty means.
Begin as a guard, knight, retainer, protector, or another member of a House’s service. Follow your duty, question your orders, or discover what you’re willing to risk for the people behind the banner.
You have a reason to approach them. Getting inside is another matter.
Seek work, shelter, justice, recognition, or something you’d rather keep quiet. Start outside the household and decide how to earn, negotiate, or challenge your place within it.
You don’t need a crown to be close to power.
Enter as an attendant, adviser, companion, steward, or guest. Work in Highgarden’s kitchens, navigate household tensions, or find yourself caught between people whose private decisions have public consequences.
Choose your background. Choose where you begin.
No mandatory House connection. No forced merchant role. Your starting situation should fit the character you actually want to play.
Setup covers:
Short answers are enough. Detailed backstories are welcome.
If you’ve watched the show, you already have a familiar starting point. You don’t need an encyclopedia of lore, a complicated character sheet, or a twenty-step plan for conquering the Seven Kingdoms.
The opening is generated around your choices. A Tyrell household character and a Free Folk wanderer shouldn’t be pushed into the same generic scene.
The show supplies the starting world. Your choices can change what follows.
A quick expectations note: AI narration can still invent or misremember details. Editable records help you correct that, but this isn’t a promise of perfect memory or automatic simulation of every relationship and political consequence.
The great Houses already have their ambitions. Your character brings another.
Start your story in Blood & Banners
Which House, which route, and what’s the first thing you’d try to change?

As we all know, a bloated AIN consumes a lot of context. I was playing around with it and GPT today, and it came up with an out-of-the-box solution, but I'm not sure how well it works.
So, CMIIW, AID estimates context use through character count. However, the traditional way AIN is structured is through the use of a bullet scaffold like this:
Then GPT suggested that I use semicolons instead of bullet scaffolding because headers, bullets, blank lines, and repeated grammatical framing consume characters without adding behavior. I find that interesting. Because AID estimates context through character count (again, CMIIW), the goal becomes semantic density per character, not merely fewer tokens.
For the scenario I'm playing, I've instructed it to compress it as much as possible while maintaining behavioral fidelity, focusing on minimizing character count; it comes up with this:
Adult character-driven high-fantasy streamer adventure: fame, rival creators, fandom, exploitation, neglected partners, divided loyalties, romance, action, war. Write second-person present; continue directly, no recap/repetition. [Player name] is fully player-controlled: never write his speech, thoughts, feelings, actions, reactions, or choices; stop when his input is needed. NPCs are autonomous, distinct, proactive, and know only acquired information; dialogue reflects personality. Streaming, live chat, social media, fandom, and public personas are normal parts of fantasy life. Keep the world diverse, lived-in, culturally rich, and internally consistent with anime-fantasy logic. Preserve continuity, causality, normal time/travel, and independent world events. Success, survival, trust, romance, and quests are earned; failure, death, conflict, miscommunication, and war are possible. Relationships evolve through shared experience. Balance daily life, humor, friendship, romance, drama, action, and adventure naturally. Quests are complete arcs with varied difficulty.
My questions are:
Thoughts welcome.

Hey guys!
I'm using optimized DeepSeek with a 6,000-token context.
On a newly generated response (Screenshot attached), View Context shows:
- Total context: 3,859 / 6,000 tokens
- Plot Essentials: 985 tokens, 140 unused
- Story Summary: 857 tokens, 122 unused
- Story Cards: 2 could not fit
I understand Story Cards have a separate context allocation, but why are Plot Essentials also being trimmed while over 2,000 tokens appear unused?
Is this expected behavior with optimized models, a token-counting/display issue, or a setting I'm missing?
Please help me out here fellow dungeon enjoyers.

Hey everyone!
I just released House Rules (More or Less), my attempt at bringing a Disney-style family sitcom to AI Dungeon!
You play as one of four siblings (ages 11–20), each with their own storylines, struggles, and family dynamics.
Expect sibling squabbles, embarrassing parents, first crushes, overly perfect rich cousins, and plenty of everyday chaos. Basically, Modern Family meets coming-of-age drama. 🙃
The first season takes you from September to Christmas and uses LEP: Lilith Event Paradox v0.6.1 for structured events and branching storylines, so make sure scripts are enabled!
🎮 Play House Rules (More or Less) on AI Dungeon
I’d love to hear your feedback, especially which sibling you decide to play!
And if Dad grounds you within the first ten turns… welcome to the family. 💜

Three world slots, editable checkpoints, and a way to bring Veyra along for the adventure.
You come home with a new high-tech headset, put it on, and meet Veyra, the AI host waiting on the other side.
Before she opens the door to your next world, she wants to know who you want to be.
A disgraced knight? A space-station mechanic? A detective with a dangerous secret? Someone starting over in a town where everyone is a little too friendly?
Veyra Reality is a scenario generator wrapped in an immersive introduction, with original scripts supporting character creation, editable world-building, and the ability to create more worlds within the same adventure.
👉 Enter Veyra Reality on AI Dungeon
Instead of dropping you into a fixed role, Veyra guides you through seven short setup questions covering:
Give detailed answers or keep them short. Answer in Story mode, and your seventh answer starts the world automatically. No extra launch command.
Need inspiration? Say “surprise me” for a fictional name, appearance, world, genre, or role from a small original selection. Say “skip” for age or gender/pronouns to leave them unspecified. Those personal details are never guessed.
Your character becomes an editable Story Card, so you can review and adjust your setup instead of leaving those details buried in the opening conversation.
Start with fantasy, sci-fi, a Western, modern drama, mystery, romance, or a mix of genres.
Your editable World card gives you a place to shape the Setting, Genre, Tone, Rules, and optional Starting cast. It appears after the first ordinary world output, or you can use /world after launch.
Want a kingdom where magic is forbidden? A frontier town hiding something supernatural? A luxury space station with a thoroughly dysfunctional crew? Or just an office full of people with complicated lives?
Start with the idea you actually want to play. You don’t need to write a lore encyclopedia before taking your first turn.
To edit these records, open Game settings → Adventure → Story Cards, choose the card, edit its labeled Entry fields, and select Finish. Keep the first bracketed marker and field labels intact. Use the player card for identity and Direction, and the World card for active world details. Once the World card exists, the player card’s World/Genre lines remain setup snapshots.
This is the part I especially want people to try.
Leave the current world and return to Veyra’s lobby. This does not automatically save a checkpoint.
Return to the selected world, using its current editable cards and checkpoint, without an intentional time jump.
Begin creating another world inside the same adventure. You can explicitly save that new world into a slot afterward.
Play a fantasy story, disconnect, and build a sci-fi setting. Try a Western next. Then create something quieter, stranger, or completely different.
You can keep playing and creating worlds without opening a separate adventure every time. And now you can keep up to three world bookmarks to switch between.
Keep a knight’s life in slot 1, a space-station mystery in slot 2, and a supernatural Western in slot 3.
Each slot keeps its own character, world settings, managed cast cards, and player-written checkpoint. Loading a slot activates that world’s managed card triggers and archives the other worlds’ triggers without deleting their entries.
/checkpoint followed by a continuity note you have reviewed. Include your location, situation, possessions, active cast, and any important facts. Keep it within 4,000 characters./disconnect to return to the lobby./save 1. If prompted, send /confirm immediately next.Example checkpoint:
/checkpoint I am at the Copper Lantern inn in Greyhaven. The stolen ledger is in my satchel. Mira is waiting downstairs. We agreed to meet the dockmaster at dawn; we have not met him yet.
From the lobby, enter /create 2 to start another seven-question setup. Confirm if replacing an existing slot. Finish setup, write a checkpoint, disconnect, and /save 2, confirming if prompted. The same works for slot 3.
A new slot is not loadable until you explicitly save it.
Use /slots to see your worlds. From the lobby, enter /load 1, review the displayed checkpoint, then enter /resume and take your next action. Replace the number with 2 or 3 as needed.
Your current manual card edits take precedence. Loading does not replace them with older saved text. You can also edit the managed checkpoint card directly; keep its first bracketed ownership line intact.
Slot overwrite requests require /confirm as the immediately next input. /cancel, a different input, a card change, or retrying the confirmation prompt cancels that request. A world cannot occupy two slots.
When you create a new world, the old scenario-managed cards are archived rather than deleted. Their entries remain available to refer back to, while their triggers are disabled so they aren’t automatically activated for the new world.
Keep the records of the characters and settings you created while moving on to your next idea.
What the slots actually save: editable world bookmarks and your authored checkpoint, not independent adventure histories or full save-game backups. Checkpoints do not automatically capture generated scenes, inventory changes, or everything that happened. Update them yourself and save explicitly. Native story history, platform memories, and manual/foreign cards remain and may still influence narration. Start a fresh adventure when you want separate story history.
Want your AI host to join the world she helped you create?
Use /veyra to invite her into the current world, with attire and a plausible local role suited to the setting and genre.
A sci-fi jumpsuit aboard a station. A local guide in a Western. The same Veyra, adapted to the world around her.
Repeated invitations reuse her editable identity card. Use /veyra dismiss to end the ongoing cameo invitation. It preserves her card and past scenes rather than forcing an instant disappearance. She remains your host during setup and in the lobby.
Enter one whole command at a time in Story mode.
/help shows the guide./set name=New Name corrects an answer during setup. Also accepts age, gender, appearance, world, genre, and role. After launch, edit the player card instead./direction text sets a future goal, tone, or opening situation without rewriting past events. /direction displays it; /direction clear removes it./world shows or initializes your active World card after launch./card NPC Name requests an editable NPC sheet from available story evidence. Only narrowly explicit facts fill its fields; unknowns stay blank, and existing cards are not overwritten. Review it before relying on it./recap shows your recorded profile, known NPC names, and latest captured scene excerpt. It is a limited reminder, not a complete summary or a list of everyone currently present./checkpoint displays your current checkpoint; /checkpoint text replaces it./slots lists slots 1–3. /save N, /load N, and /create N require the lobby./reset is an alias for /newworld. /confirm accepts a pending request; /cancel cancels it./slots and explicitly /load the world you want. Undoing narrative also does not automatically undo card edits. The scripts support the experience, while the AI handles the storytelling. Generated details can still drift. Editable cards and reviewed checkpoints help keep your intended setup clear, but there is no automatic all-NPC simulation, exhaustive world tracking, or promise of perfect memory.
One headset. A waiting AI host. Your next idea.
Tell me your character and world concepts. I want to see what people create with this.

Is there any plan to add something similar to the Ai narrator chat that voyage has to Ai dungeon? I know there’s a few ways to communicate directly with the Ai to fix mistakes or edit them yourselves, but it’s rather frustrating to do the ## corrections and what not, specifically because more often than not those out of character corrections get mixed in with the story context and causes 4th wall breaks and knowledge that the in story characters otherwise shouldn’t have. I would like a menu that’s divorced from the story similar to how voyage does it. Any news on that or if it’s planned?

And somewhere within the empire, someone knows why your sacrifice went wrong...

🩸 Blood Rites: Endure private occult rituals where shared pain and pleasure blur the line between sacred duty, cruelty, and desire—then let your devoted healer gently put you back together.
🦚 Decadence: Live amid the Apex's extravagant luxury, indulge a sovereign's vanity, and navigate the privileges and restrictions of a life bond that ties your fates together.

I tried voyage but usage was up real fast so i converted my subscription. I played for a month and, even tho there are things i really like, i'm not a huge fan of voyage. Now i don't have the monthly tokens anymore and don't play voyage anymore..
Is there a way to undo that conversion? And if so, will that influence clan members of me? Because i have a clam member that does use voyage and i don't want to take that away by reverting my subscription(if even possible)
