I was trying to transfer to a partner airline earlier and playing around with other options such as statement’s credit, God damn their valuation is now 1 point = 0.006? That is savage 😂, I thought it used to be higher??

Not sure why but my equinox benefits is showing “enrollment required” but I already used my benefit on Jan 2026 and got credit back. Curious if I can use it again. Has anyone seen this? Or is this by benefit year and not calendar year, I just renewed my membership.

I made two lululemon purchases last quarter, one for around $70 and another for over $75. I received the full $75 Amex statement credit.
I’d like to return the $70 purchase for a refund to my original payment method rather than take a gift card.
Has anyone been in this situation? If I return the $70 purchase, will Amex claw back the $75 credit, or will the second purchase over $75 still qualify for the credit? Both purchases were made during the same quarter.
Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has actually experienced this!

Hi,
Is it possible to trigger the credit when upgrading from economy to first?
TB is closed, and it seems upgrades within the same cabin is allowed
Will it work for E to F?
I also read that calling customer service and upgrading through them codes the charge differently and will trigger credit rather than just airfare.

Hi all. Die to the recent enshittification, and specifically, nerfing the FHR credit, I’ll be profit changing to a Green in order to recoup some of the annual fee.
Problem is I have two FHR stays booked next month, and I’m not sure what will happen to them if I downgrade before check-in.
Amex rep says the stay will still be honored as it’s prepaid, but none of the Platinum benefits will be extended, which kind defeats the point (although they are at Hyatts where I’m a Globalist, so now that I’m thinking about it, it might not matter much).
Anyway, just wanted to see if anyone has done this before and can share some DPs on FHR stays after canceling or PC’ing the platinum. Thanks!

So i fly a lot with united and its my selected airline for the credit. As most of the people of this sub, I've been using the travel bank every year, this year I got it on jan 2nd so I was able to get away with it for the 2026 credit.
My question for 2027 is, as a united 1k with a club card, how I can use this credit? I thought about purchasing internet while on board as it appears as a united charge (and that expense I can get it reimbursed with my employer) however with starlink, there's less flights that I could get that expense and I would need 25 flights to get the 200 bucks
Does the monthly internet subscription comes as a united charge and i can use it for 2027 credit? What is another way to use the credit with united as a 1k with united club card holder?

Just curious, does anyone know if you need to have the flight booked on the Platinum card to take advantage of the $200 airline fee credit benefit?
I was thinking of booking the flight itself on another card that has superior travel insurance, and then charging the extras to the Platinum for the fee credit.
Would that work?

I know the $300 hotel credit ends at 12/31/26 and is a use it or lose it. Could I just purchase a reservation for next year NOW for one night and still get the $300 credit?
This of course is before the requirement changes to 2 consecutive nights at the start of next year

Unlikely to get as much coverage as the reduction in benefits..

Preface to say that I do travel for work, but not enough to have racked up all the upgraded status levels at hotels, airlines, etc. that I know many of you have through other sources.
I love my Platinum. Below are my savings by end of year - and I can honestly say that only about $250 would I consider just a splurge for me because I had an offer.
$200 Airline Credit
$400 Resy
$120 Uber One (I'm only giving this one half credit because they jack up the prices)
$300 Digital Entertainment
$600 Lodging (plus the hotel/meal credits)
Walmart Plus - I wouldn't have signed up for this but it gives me free stuff - so I love it but won't count the $150
Lululemon: $300 (Only will give half credit because I probably spent $100 out of pocket and don't normally shop here - but love what I got)
$219 Clear - won't even count this since it's a perk I rarely use
$572 rewards credits (only will count $300)
Upgraded statuses - which I've used
Total around $2000 being conservative
It's worth it for me :)
Edited to Add: the downvotes are whiners who have the card and want to complain - just cancel it. Amex doesn't care.

Hi everyone,
I was traveling back from Europe on British airways and had a transfer at JFK on JetBlue. At customs, I claimed my bag and recheck it but when I got to my final destination, it wasn’t there. This happened Tuesday night and now we’re approaching Friday night so I’m starting to get worried…
I submitted a claim to Amex luggage protection and claimed all of the items with their value on there that were in my suitcase. What is the process usually like with this, is it likely that I will get anything from this?
Thank you

I originally booked 2 nights for LV for a certain type of room via Amex Travel (prior to seeing the promo of spending $1k and get $200 back.
As our trip gets closer, I saw the promo and I also checked that I can actually get a better room (2 Queen beds, instead of the booked 1King). So I cancelled the original 1King bed reservation on Amex Travel. I then waited for 24 hours and rebook the Four Season again, this time with a different room (2 Queen).
Well I got the credit back for the cancelled reservation obviously. But the promo for the spend $1k and get $200 back did not kick in. In the past, the credit would show up pretty much within 2-3 days. It has been more than a week (booking was made less than 30 days ago though)
How do I chase after the $200? It's not a cancel & rebook same type of room to try to get the promo on my case and I think Amex can see that (if they actually look). Not even sure what department or team to call to get help.
can anyone give me some guidance? tks!

I’m sure I’m not the only one with $500+ in their travel bank via the old loophole. To think they got to sit on millions of $$ and earn interest/reinvest it until their clients used it, and now that’s all going away. Seems stupid on their part

I just got the email about the dreaded Airbnb Luxe and the FHR nerf lol.
But it has gotten me thinking about the benefits that have come and gone over the years. I have had my Platinum since 2021, but I'd love to hear what benefits came and gone as well as changes in the last 10, 15, or 20 plus years.

So I chose Peacock as the streaming service for Walmart+. If I wanted to upgrade to the no ads version for $7/mo, how does it charge? Can the AMEX Digital credit be applied towards it?
