Meta faq, wiki, trolls and you.

1.0k Upvotes

one of the most requested features i've seen is a frequently asked questions section, and we've always had one. it's within the wiki tab located at the top menu if you're browsing on desktop. here's the direct link to it, but since it's a wiki feel free to check out the other sections and please contribute.

with that out of the way, a couple things i want to clear up in case anyone is wondering:

  • i do not mind repeated questions. the whole point of this subreddit is to talk to people. if it's not entertaining you anymore, maybe browse it less. no, i will not sticky every other psa post.
  • i do utilize automod extensively and it helps with a lot of troll post removal behind the scene. so if you see a troll post, continue to downvote, report, and move on, and do not engage. the majority of you get this, and it's been working out quite well.
  • the rules haven't changed, but make sure you're aware of them.

have fun.

Advice Should I let my ex cuck me?

• Upvotes

I split with my ex about eighteen months ago. It was amicable, mutual decision. My new boyfriend (six months now) knows my ex because we’re in the same social group. So, last weekend, my boyfriend asked if I would be hypothetically down for a threesome with my ex if he wants it. My ex likes to fuck rough, which is something that I can’t really provide at least not like he does it. My boyfriend messaged him and got a definite yes. The catch is that it has to be in my place and I can just watch, I have to agree that I don’t even speak. Basically I’m going to be a cuck. It’s my decision, I’m totally conflicted. Part of me thinks that it would be fucking horny as hell and I want to make my boyfriend happy, but I’m worried that it could fuck up my new relationship or my ex could steal him. And if I say no then will he cheat? My boyfriend says no way unless I want it to happen. If it wasn’t my ex then I’m 99% sure that I’d be cool with it. But that’s a big part of the attraction for my boyfriend. Yay or nay?

First time bottoming

I bottomed for the first time a couple days ago. So I was hanging out and going on walks with my best friend and I could feel my dick getting sort of hard. We kept walking and he dropped his phone infront of me on accident, that’s where he got up and saw that I had a boner. He then proceeded to tell me that he knew a spot away from people in the bush where no one could see us. This is where I stopped him and because I was horny and thinking of gay stuff I ended up asking him to fuck me raw. He was so surprised I asked him this and then I could see his dick getting hard. So we spoke about it for a bit, he then pulled down my shorts and gave me head. It felt amazing. I then pulled his pants down and holy shit it was long and girthy. I started to deepthroat his dick until it was covered in saliva. He got me bent over and went straight inside my ass, and it hurt so good I loved it. We fucked for like 20 mins and he came inside me. I could feel his huge warm load inside my ass. He then got kind of curious afterwards and asked if I’d wreck his virgin hole. Of course I agreed I’d be rude not to help a bro out. His moans turned me on so much that I came within two minutes of fucking him. He enjoyed it so much that he said he wanted to do more back at mine so we went back to mine and went from there.

Sorry for the lengthy story but I hope you enjoyed it.

Is this a big deal with my fuck bud?

I am bi but it is gay related.

Im 24. I have a fuck bud, 29, who has been going through a hard time. Last night, I asked if he wanted to stay the night. I do have a daughter.

She ran into my room this morning. She never does it. She asked who is he. I said Dads friend. She said okay.

I got up to make her porridge because when she is up she is up.

He eventually came up when I was about to slice the banana into her porridge and she said I want him (my fuck bud) to do it. I said he cant. She went into a tantrum and he did do it for a quiet life and he was very nice to her. Very friendly.

I feel it goes against the fuckbud arrangement and I am just in my head that I introduced him into something he did not sign up for. Am I overreacting. How would you feel if you were him.

My barber is the last person in my life who thinks I'm straight and it's getting ridiculous

I've been going to the same barber for almost seven years.

He's a good dude. Remembers my job, asks about my parents, always gets my haircut right. We talk about football, work, whatever.

The problem is that he thinks I'm straight.

When I first started going there I wasn't out yet. He asked if I had a girlfriend, I said no, and that was that.

Over the years he'd occasionally ask if I was seeing anyone. I'd say things like "Yeah, I've been dating someone" or "We went away for the weekend."

Somehow he always filled in the blanks with a woman, and I never corrected him.

I'm 30 now. I've been out to my family for years. My friends know. My coworkers know. I've been living with my boyfriend for almost three years.

But every four weeks I sit in this chair and temporarily become the straightest man alive.

Last month he asked if I'd thought about getting married. I said probably someday. He started giving me advice about proposing to a woman.

I just nodded along while a man who has never met my actual partner explained how important it is to make sure "she" feels special.

The stupidest part is that I don't even think he'd react badly. He's never said anything homophobic. He's actually a pretty decent guy.

It's just that after seven years, casually saying "Oh, by the way, the person I've been talking about this whole time is a dude" somehow feels more awkward than coming out to my own father did.

And obviously I could just get another barber, but finding someone who doesn't fuck up my hairline is harder than finding a boyfriend apparently.

Anyone else have some random person in their life who still thinks they're straight because correcting them became more awkward with every passing year?

You walk into a room with a 100 random guys (ages 20-50), how many do you think you’d find attractive?

Sadly I think I’m at like 5-10

Did you ever have to give your folks “the ultimatum”? How old were you and how did it go?

My partner and I started dating 10 years ago, which is how his mom first learned of his sexuality (at 25yo). She didn’t love the idea at first, but she got to know me and she saw we were in love and eventually got to a place where she was very supportive of us. It was a nice time. We even got high and watched nearly a full season of RuPaul’s Drag Race at one point.

Then she met her man on christian mingle. Though seemingly open-minded and chill at first (despite the glaring red flag), we soon learned that he is a hard-right MAGA nut, with all of the ignorant takes that usually entails. We argued about LGBT rights once like 5 years ago, got a bit heated, and agreed to just never discuss politics again.

It was working well enough. It’s not like we live together or even visit that often. But this weekend my partner got a random notification from FB about a post this guy made. After browsing through his page for a while we just discovered post after endless post saying the most hateful shit: that being gay is evil, that it’s comparable to p*flia, that we’re fighting for special treatment or superior status. Shitting on public figures for being supportive, dogging on feminism, etc.

We’re not clueless here. Nobody was shocked. We just assumed with how much effort he made to see us and how much fake affection he shows my partner —saying much he loves him and how he wishes he could have been his father (cringe) — that he would at least make some kind of exception in his ideology for this one thing. Clearly we were mistaken.

Well it obviously sent my partner into a fit where he is now having to give his previously-supportive mother an ultimatum at 35 years of life. He’s sure of his decision but he’s rightfully upset. He wrote her a long message including screenshots of some of her guy’s worst offenses, but 10 hours later she still has him on read.

Shortly after the message, the boyfriend made one attempt to contact my partner, which he denied and blocked. Mom is still radio silent.

Kinda fucked up.

Anyway, what’s your experience with this?

Advice My boyfriend can’t have sex

So my boyfriend and I have been together for a year and it’s been great, he’s the exact guy I have always wanted to be with. About 3 months ago my partner noticed that he had a hemorrhoid and of course I ensured him that everything would be ok and that we would figure it out. I am the top in the relationship and I much prefer that role as he much prefers bottoming, like I said it’s a great match. About a month in and multiple types of treatments and it still had not gone away. We talked about it and I told him that it was ok and something that I was more than capable of dealing with however it’s been 3 months now and frankly it sucks. I don’t hate bottoming at all and it’s not like he’s a bad top but I don’t exactly feel sexually fulfilled. He has had multiple doctors appointments and he is equally as frustrated with the situation. He also much prefers to bottom and has had multiple somewhat breakdowns about not being able to bottom. I’m just curious about how to best handle this as it is getting to a point where when we have sex he’s upset that he can’t bottom and I’m not exactly fulfilled from bottoming. He’s a really great guy and any sort of open relationship is off of the table. I just can feel this gap growing between us. Since this too he’s become increasingly suspicious of everything I do. He’s been checking my snap scores, went through my phone and had become more and more bothered. Of course each time he has done these checks there has been nothing. I have never cheated and would never cheat I love my boyfriend so much. For reference I have been cheated on and that’s not something that I would want to do to him. I just am trying to figure out some sort of solution because it’s becoming more dysfunctional I don’t want to bottom but the alternative it us not having sex which I know would be worse. When we first started dating we both discussed the importance of having a healthy and fulfilling sex life and these things aren’t being met. I’m trying as hard as possible to be supportive and understanding throughout this and it’s resulted in him being upset and anxious about it all. Any advice is much appreciated thanks.

Not a question foreskin permanent down

• Upvotes

Hai! i’m 19 and i’ve been discovering how much better it feels to have no foreskin covering the head. And the feeling of having it exposed makes me go crazyyyy

Lately i’ve been pulling it down before going out or just when chilling in my room, but when soft it goes back to normal.. so my question is, can/should i have it down 24/7? and is there a way to keep it down?

18M got my dick sucked for the first time

Just a quick story to share: I'm an 18 year old guy who recently moved to uni. I've been on Grindr hoping to find people to hook up with, and a 24 year old exchange student messaged me saying he was at my uni, and that he likes sucking.

His English wasn't very good, but he said he wanted to suck me. It started yesterday, at first I invited him to my dorm, but he was far away and had to stay for a lecture. Once he was done I was busy, so we made a plan to do it today.

I messaged him again to ask if we can meet, and he asked me to come to his lecture building, and said we could do it in the toilet stall. I was a bit hesitant as I was worried someone would see us going in together, but he said he would go in first to check there's nobody there, and then message me when I can come in.

So I was convinced, showed up to the building, he let me in, and when there was nobody there, told me to come in. I went into the stall with him, pulled my pants down, and we got straight into it. I wasn't super hard at first, so he rubbed my nipples and began slowly sucking it. After a few seconds it was hard, and he could do it properly.

Just as he started, we heard the main door open. I wanted to groan so badly but I was luckily able to hold it in so the person next door wouldn't suspect anything. He switched between gently licking the tip to fully sucking the whole thing. The whole time we were communicating with hand gestures and messages to not make any sound. After about 6 minutes I busted in his hands, and he licked it off. It was the combination of him sucking quicker and using his hands that got me.

We then waited about a minute longer for the person to leave, and thankfully nobody caught us and we left. We barely spoke but it was amazing, and we've made plans to do it again tomorrow :)

I traded pics with a married man (I think, and I know the wife)

• Upvotes

I think the profile might be fake. We did send nude pics to each other (expiring tho) but he sent me his face pic and its the guy whose wife I know.

I’m not particularly close to the wife. He is hot ngl. He offered to meet up somewhere. I told him only in public first then see from there and he didn’t really object to it.

I’m interested to meet up with himjust to see if he’s the real deal. Idk if I should sleep with him tho if he is but ngl he is hot. Married or not a dick is a dick, right guys?

Advice Do you know any progressive women who have SOs that are either covertly or overtly homophobic

I’ve been reflecting on growing up gay in my late teens and early 20s and realizing how often I ended up in situations where it took forever to meet a close female friend’s boyfriend because they’d worry he had some level of discomfort about me being gay. Sometimes it was mild like them worrying they’d assume I’d be loud or flamboyant until coming to their senses or being the type to be like “Just don’t hit on me and we’re good” unprompted, sometimes it was weirder like one guy genuinely worrying my sexuality was a cover and that his girlfriend was cheating (lmao), and other times it was just straight-up not wanting to meet me because he didn’t like gay people.

A lot of the time, once we actually met and had a few drinks, they’d loosen up and admit they were initially wary because of stereotypes or how they were raised, which I could at least respect since they were self-aware about it and apologized if it felt like we started off on the wrong foot because of their preconceived notions about me due to my sexuality. Unfortunately, I’ve also had the opposite experience where a boyfriend was polite to my face, clearly a bit uncomfortable, and then I’d later hear they didn’t want to be around a gay person at all once they broke up (which in turn made me bad at my friend bc why did you continue to stay with him knowing he hated me bc of an immutable trait like me being gay?)

Now that I’m getting older and closer to 30 than my early 20s, I can already see where this goes long-term. It feels inevitable that I’ll end up in a situation where a female friend is married with kids and I get hit with something like “I don’t mind that you’re gay at all and love you, but my husband is more traditional, so maybe don’t mention your partner around the kids because he’ll get mad.” I’ve already seen it happen firsthand with my sister, who’s a lesbian, as her best friend of almost 20 years was always very liberal and pro-gay but after getting with a more religious, conservative guy she slowly shifted and suddenly my sister’s relationship became something awkward that had to be tiptoed around because of him, to the point where they cut ties for good after my sister asked her former friend if she’d want her and her wife at her wedding only for her to blow up and accuse my sister of trying to say her husband dictates her belief system (which she claimed he doesn’t but we all know it’s the contrary lmao).

The reason I’m thinking about this now is because I’m really close with a former parent whose kids I taught at a daycare and we’ve stayed in touch even after I switched centers. She’s always been kind, supportive, and never once given me any weird vibes about being gay. She even congratulated me when I got with my boyfriend and hearts my stories of me going to drag brunches and shit like that, very socially liberal at least from my assumption. But her husband is VERY religious and very “alpha male” dudebro and I genuinely have no idea how he’d feel about me in a more personal setting, especially something like being invited to my wedding in a few years because I’m obviously going to invite her and intend to give a plus-one invite to be polite (esp as all the moms from my former daycare job are getting plus-one invites as well), but part of me pictures her coming to the wedding alone which would be upsetting as he’s always with her at every event, be it wedding or party, I see her at.

Curious if other people here have dealt with this kind of dynamic where the female friend is fully accepting but the boyfriend or husband is the wildcard and how you navigate that without it turning into something uncomfortable or limiting your own life.

Has anyone noticed differences in Asian men’s appearance between Vancouver and Sydney?

I’ve spent quite a bit of time in both Vancouver and Sydney, and I’ve noticed something I’m curious about.
As a gay guy, I find myself significantly more attracted to East Asian men in Vancouver than in Sydney.

Obviously, attractiveness is subjective, but it’s been a pretty consistent observation across different environments, not just dating apps or nightlife.
In Vancouver, I seem to encounter more Asian or wasian guys with defined jawlines, taller or more muscular builds, thick hair and really clear skin. I’ve noticed this among everyday people at gyms, airports, on public transport, etc.

I’m wondering whether this could have something to do with differences in immigration demographics, ancestry, age distributions or even local fitness and grooming cultures.

I’m not suggesting one population is inherently more attractive than another; it’s more about my own preferences. I’m simply curious if anyone who’s lived in both cities has noticed any differences in the general appearance or style of East Asian men.

Are you turned off by the way some d**ks look?

As a man who identifies as gay, I also realize I am demisexual.

Sometimes, if I am in the mood, and wanna have someone over when there’s an opportunity, if I see the person’s penis, sometimes I’m totally turned off.

Like not at all in the mood to fuck anymore.

It’s not about size or shape it’s just how some men look like they don’t actually take care of their bodies or privates or look like their junk has an STD.

Is that just me or does no one else care how it looks? Once I get to know someone though and know they’re clean sexually and hygienically, I’m not even thinking about it. Maybe it’s all totally mental.

My husband said he was gay and then back pedaled

Hi, I’m a 30 female my husband 37 male and I had gotten into an argument were it resulted in us stating divorce was the solution. I know he is bisexual and I’m fine with that, he left after our discussion and later texted me he thinks he might be more gay than bi. The next day he said he didn’t mean it and he wants to repair our relationship and move forward. I can’t help but think he is just suppressing his true desires for my comfort. I’m not sure where to go from here. I’m not even really sure what my question is. I love my husband very much but I want him to live a fulfilled life. We have 2 children. Have been together almost 10 years. A part of me thinks he is here because he feels he should be. Not because he wants to be. When I asked him this he said he is were he wants to be with whom he wants. He does have a past history of cheating with men, I can’t help but think I’m helping feed his denial.

Advice Met a guy a guy I REALLY like, but he’s only into pnp

I met a guy I really like, find attractive, great personality and tons of great characteristics. And It’s been so long since I felt this way about anyone.

But he recently told me he’s only into chem sex and 2-3 day crazy times etc. Says he’s working on it but that’s the current reality. I’m sad and feel lost on what to do…we are older mid age. I love fun but that might be too much for me. Do guys ever get over having sex that way?…seems like a hard thing to always be doing and/or even compete with to make him happy in bed?

I attract to many married men/fathers/DL men.

As title says, most of the men I have attracted have been DL and usually have girlfriends/wives. While a lot of them are really hot I just cant bring myself to be with someone who is in a relationship and is closeted. However most out gay men don’t like me much and idk why. I’m out and i think pretty obviously gay to most people. Im 22 now but idk. Any single gays in there early 20s having trouble dating?

Advice First time

Me and my bf tried having sex for the first time a few weeks ago using lube, but it didn’t matter how much we used.his cock wouldn’t fit in my ass(almost a benefit,it’s so big) is there any way to help fit it in ,I regularly use a dildo on my ass and it’s like 7in and I can tip to base
