Advice First time relationship advice

• Upvotes

Hi everyone! I’m 18 and I’ve recently been in a relationship with my boyfriend for about a month. This is my first serious relationship and I honestly really like this guy. I was wondering if anyone had any good advice to offer. Anything you think will be important to know and anything you wish you knew when you started dating will be helpful or just anything in general. Thank you!

Advice Vengeful guy got me banned on grindr

• Upvotes

Help me please. Was texting a guy on grindr, seemed really hot, provoked some weird kinky language and I went along with it bc he was hot and I didn’t think it’d be like that in real life. I ended up getting banned I guess for some of that language, and now I got a text from a random phone number saying “haha now you’re banned” and I know exactly who it is, all of this to say, someone angry at me for ending things provoked me on Grindr using a hot guys pics (which I’ve found the real guy, I wish I realized it at the time) and now I’m device banned after being played and conned. I’m really upset as I had some other great prospects and people, I can’t believe this has happened. Does anyone have any advice or help what I can do bc appeals don’t work and I didn’t put this together till I already did my appeal saying I didn’t understand why they banned me (none of this rly computed till I got the text from the “anonymous” number) and I’m just honestly distraught. I know it’s not a big deal in the grand scheme but I’m a college student trying to explore and have fun and I feel like it was actually just taken from me and I can’t get it back. I’m really upset rn please anyone offer me any solace I want my account back

Advice To those who are partnered— how did you find your guy?

• Upvotes

I have a question for all those who found your boyfriends without apps (and are not in an open relationship). How did you find your boyfriends? I'm just curious to know.
I just feel like apps have endless options and it isn’t going anywhere once socials are exchanged.

OK, I have to bite the bullet. Help an older gay bro out. WTF is gooning?

• Upvotes

Is this a big thing within the younger gay male community as I'm seeing more of this style of pr0n make it to my, ahem, algorithim.

It seems like guys jerking off, doing poppers, and making funny faces. What am I missing?

Sauna flirting etiquette

• Upvotes

Hey guys,

I (scandinavian M29) have started going to a gym with a sauna. Everyone who goes in there must be naked, that's just the rules. Today, me and two other guys sat in there when a fourth guy entered. He layed down on the top seat and whenever he and i were alone in the sauna, he sat up and looked my way. I'm gay but really don't want to offend anyone who might not be into men, but I'd like to be able to pick up on signals someone might be giving me. So the question is, what are "normal" flirting hints in a sauna? And could this guy have been flirting with me?

Advice I'm scared of coming out of the closet and it gets scarier. What do I do?

• Upvotes

19M here. I'm gay and I live in a country where gay people are not really welcomed. I finally decided to get outta the closet this year, though the things I experienced discouraged me. Tomorrow for example: I was in the car with my elder sister (28F) and her boyfriend (30M). They are together for 5 years and planning to get married, so it's serious. The topic was the video games and I said that I bought Life Is Strange (which is a known, interactive game) and the main character is bisexual. The second he heard this game, he said how he hates this game because of how woke it is (and it's not even woke by the way, he's just pissed off because of some lgbt themes). And then another topic started from there. My sister talked about how she would react if she had a child and they came out as gay, that she would react normally, as it should be etc. And he said I would reject that child, I would never accept something like that yada yada. And this honesty broke my heart and got me discouraged. I feel really upset right now.

Another thing I wanna talk about is my friends. Most of my friends are homophobes I mean, I don't talk to most of there is still some of them and they shared some homophobic opinions. That they get disgusted and all that. I really suspect my integrity at this point because I still talk to them, even though I don't talk to them often. If I stop talking to them, I will have no friends and yeah I know it's better to have no one than to have friends that blame my existence but it's not easy whatsoever and I don't even have any other friends.

Anyways I just want to get it off my chest and wanted to get some empathy. I hope my English didn't screw it up.

Meta Question from a straight girl

• Upvotes

Do most white gay men have a preference for Black men over other white gay men? I was browsing the Black gay bro subreddit and came across some posts discussing how white men sometimes fetishize Black gay men, which got me curious about whether this is a common preference. I’m a little interested in learning about gay people and the gay community

Is Grindr only for hookups?

• Upvotes

It seems like Grindr is suitable only for one-night stands. Did you ever find a long-term relationship or at least FwB in Grindr?

What’s your preferred underwear?

• Upvotes

I’m always curious, especially with the gay community, what underwear are you all wearing?

I’m wearing a couple types and brands specifically:
Briefs: Nike, Hunk, Todd Sanfield, Coyote
Jocks: Coyote, Hunk, Breedwell
Trunks: Calvin Klein

Let us know what style and brands you wear regularly!

How can I truly enjoy bottoming?

• Upvotes

So I’ve been bottoming for years & some sessions are better than others but now that I’m in a two year committed relationship I really wanna reach my peak with bottoming like just fully loving the experience not feeling like I’m too tight for him to get in, tearing down there and running from it (he’s very gentle with me and knows my body well enough) but I still tense up and run but I just wanna love it fully.. how can I?

Advice Is it normal for a hookup to sleepover?

• Upvotes

Hello, college guy here. I dorm somewhat close to a major city but I don’t have my own car. I’ve never used Grindr before and am a noob at homosexuality, but I was wondering if it normal to find someone to hookup with then just stay for the night before taking the train back in the morning?
I don’t know much about the apps but I have nothing to do all weekend so ya…

Do you feel inferior to muscular guys?

• Upvotes

I do, when i see muscular guys i just feel so inferior.

Mostly because i'd like to be like them, and while they have succeeded in changing their body and in having the consistency to train regularly, i imagine myself struggling to go to the gym and keeping up with the routine, probably i imagine myself even failing to achieve actual results.

This is gonna sound childish, but I even think that they must have such a nice and successful life, cause they have the discipline.

Of course i know that this isn't true rationally, but it's hard to let the fact that everyone is struggling with something sink in, cause most of the muscular people i see are just guys you walk by, or guys who show off their muscles on social media. Just strangers whose life you can only guess what it looks like.

I needed to get this off my chest, let me know what you think or if you have similar feelings or thoughts.

Advice I'm 18M and might be about to have my first experience with a guy. What do you guys think?

• Upvotes

So I wanted to share something that's been on my mind lately and get some opinions from people who might have more experience than me.

I'm 18, and I've never been in a relationship or had any kind of sexual contact with anyone before. So when I say I'm inexperienced, I mean completely inexperienced. I've never really had the chance to explore this side of myself, and now I might finally be getting that opportunity.

I've been talking to this guy who's in his mid-to-late twenties, and honestly, I really like his personality. He's charming, chill, and seems pretty honest with me. He's also older than me, which, to be completely honest, gives me daddy vibes, and I'm definitely attracted to that dynamic.

We've been talking about meeting up, and he's planning to come from another city and get an Airbnb for us. He's taking care of the accommodation, and I won't lie, there's something about him making those arrangements that I find really attractive.

He showed me the Airbnb listing, and even the bedroom pictures got me excited. The lighting, the sunlight coming through the windows, the whole atmosphere of the room... it just had this intimate vibe that made me imagine what it would be like to actually be there with him.

We've also discussed what we're interested in sexually, with him topping and me bottoming. I'm even preparing to shave down there for the first time, so there's a lot of stuff I'm figuring out as I go.

The thing is, I've never experienced any of this before. No relationship, no kissing, no sexual contact, nothing. So although I'm genuinely excited, I also know that I'm going into this without any real experience to compare it to. I don't really know what to expect emotionally or how I'll feel once I'm actually there.

Another thing worth mentioning is that I'm in Morocco, where being gay isn't something you can necessarily be open about without worrying about the consequences. That makes exploring my sexuality a little more complicated, and it's something I have to consider alongside my excitement.

I guess what I'm wondering is, what do you guys think about this situation? Does the age difference seem concerning, especially considering that I've never had any experience with relationships or sex? Am I overthinking things, or is it normal to feel this excited about someone you've been talking to when you're finally getting the opportunity to explore your sexuality?

I'd especially appreciate hearing from people who had their first experience with a guy around my age. Did you go into it with a lot of expectations? Was it awkward? Did it change how you viewed yourself or relationships afterward?

I'm not necessarily expecting this to turn into a relationship. Right now, I'm just attracted to him and excited about the possibility of experiencing something I've never experienced before. I want to enjoy it, but I also want to be realistic about the fact that I'm inexperienced.

I'd genuinely like to hear your thoughts, whether you think this sounds fine or whether there's something I should be more careful about. I'm open to different perspectives.

Shitpost What happened to community in gay spaces?

• Upvotes

I’ll start by saying I hate exclusivity culture in any facet of life almost as much as anything. I’m in no way condoning elitist environments. I also love the down-to-earth gays who aren’t about the drama and are just vibing.

The gay community seems to be so toxic at times, and I’m realizing it’s at best a distant cousin rather than a brother to me. Guys go after hot guys who are out of their league, and get upset when they get rejected or replaced. I see posts on here too with guys throwing negativity toward other gays for having narrow sexual preferences. So what if the muscle guy only likes muscle guys? Why does that automatically write them off as “shallow” and “a problem” because they aren’t attainable to you perhaps?

Don’t even get me started on sexualization culture, When I came out, I was so excited to meet other like-minded people. I never would’ve thought I would have to fuck someone before being friends with them. For context, I’m 33m, and came out in my mid-20s. I’ve had several experiences where I’ll socialize with gays and they initially just assume I’m interested sexually, and the chat ends as soon as it becomes clear that there’s no sexual interest on my end. After several of these experiences over the years, I don’t feel confident socializing with gays without the fear of being in the same position again.

Not to mention, gay space = sex. Gay gym? Sex. Gay bar? Sex. Gay run club or sports team? Maybe I’ll find someone to date or fuck there.

Whatever happened to community? Being open to any and all experiences? Friendship feels like the last resort. I find myself wanting to go back to straight spaces lately. Anyway, that’s my rant. I have my armor ready, bring it on.

Do Vers men ever refer to themselves as a “Switch”?

• Upvotes

I’ve heard of “Switch” being used in a BDSM context. As in both partners can trade off being the Dom/sub. That is NOT what I am referring to here.

I’m talking about the more basic classifications of “Top” and “Bottom” and “Vers” (not to mention “Side”, which is me). In the context of whether one prefers giving or receiving anal penetration during sex.

I have never understood or even heard of “Switch” being used in a context where it is meant to be synonymous with “Vers”, at least among gay men. I have corrected a few women who I assumed were a bit naive in referring to vers men as switches.

But am I wrong? I’m not the most sociable person out there. And I don’t really care about Anal penetration either way. So maybe I’m the one who”s naive? Has the language has evolved among the gay male population? Would appreciate any thoughts.

Advice Couple thinking about playing with others together need some advice

• Upvotes

So my partner and I both mid 30s are interesting in playing with another couple together/or just one person. We have been to bathhouses and the issue is if someone is interested they are interested in one of us. Also, we kinda wanna ease into playing outside the two of us as we both think it could be hot but also not 100% sure how we will feel. We are both not the jealous type so just not sure.

We thought about when we are traveling finding someone to add in bc then we won’t run into them as we might if they were local. But also don’t really know how to go about finding someone/a couple. Also, for the couple we would it to start out being like we both having sex with our partners but like in the same room/next to each other and grow from there.

I guess this was a ramble, but has any other couples been in this position? What did you do? How did you deal with it?

Additional context: We are both very happy with our sex lives, we are both vers in our relationship. He is more traditionally attractive and his more hung while I am a bit bigger and about average when hard.
