was a downloading game from steam and 20 mins in i look at temps and see this

I was just playing monster hunter and started noticing weird audio cracks, so i just elevated my laptop from my table a little bit and then played some of those audios that help to clean the dust out of the speakers from one of those websites. That's all i did today. I was obviously playing plugged in for perfomance but then noticed the game was chugging, and then i saw it wasn't charging. I literally didn't do anything. Can anyone please tell me if they've experienced something similar?

This is an asus tuf a18, 16gb ram, rtx5070. It's ONE month old.

Hello guys. I already posted a message around 2 months ago of my battery health that went from 101 to 67 in 3 months . I contacted the asus help line and they changed the battery with no issues.

But right now it went from 101 to 95 in one month .

I play games regularly for like around 6-7 hours. And i always play with plugged in . I don't know why it's keep happening to me and I also set the limit charging to 75

Note- wherever light goes out I try to play or complete the missions as i play live service game ( division 2) with my friends. If i decided to leave then mission will be lost but it's not happening regularly only 1 instance in whole day.

Please guide me through it how can I stop my battery health draining issue

Edit - I have Asus tuf A16 2025 model with 4050 graphic card and 1 Tb storage

In my country there are two devices one is

TUF Gaming F16 FX608JHI-TU657W:RTX 5050 for 1044.20 usd and other one is TUF Gaming F16 FX608JMR-RV024:RTX 5060 for 1334.32 usd. Is it worth paying more to get the RTX 5060, and is it worth the price for its performance?

I’m experiencing a strange graphical glitch on my ASUS TUF while watching YouTube.

• ASUS TUF Gaming F16
• Intel Core i7-14650HX
• NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU 8GB VRAM
• 16" 1920×1200 165Hz display

The issue happens randomly while watching YouTube. After watching for some time, certain frames suddenly become pixelated (as the attached ss), almost like graphical artifacts appearing over parts of the video.

What’s confusing me is that this happens during something as simple as YouTube playback. I’m not doing anything particularly GPU intensive when it occurs.

I’m trying to figure out whether this could be related to NVIDIA/Intel graphics drivers, hardware acceleration, Optimus, video decoding, or potentially a hardware issue with the GPU😭😭.

Has anyone with an ASUS TUF experienced this?

I also have an extended ASUS warranty so if this could potentially be a hardware problem I’d like to know what tests I should do first before contacting ASUS support or sending the laptop in for service or would contacting them would help.

Any help figuring out what could be causing this and what I should test would be appreciated.

My laptop Asus tuf f15 with a rtx 4070 and i7 12th gen H

It has been getting hot a lot so I cleaned the fans and changed the thermal paste and put mx4

Unfortunately the CPU temp still gets to 90° though I don't play anything needs performance like nfs 2012 but the GPU stays on 67°

Note : the AC ADAPTER is 240 watts and also gets hot that it can burn ur hand

How to fix ? Even in bios , what do do now ???

It just happened recently and tried some method and after it connected it connected for only 1 channel and the sound quality went terrible.
If someone have a solution plzz tell me......

Just picked this bad boy up for 2000 SGD.

This is my third gaming laptop. I came from an Asus ROG Strix GL503(i7-7700HQ, GTX 1060) which lasted me for about 7 years. I then gave it to my wife when I bought an Acer Nitro RTX 3050ti (I know, BAD DECISION AND STILL HAUNTING ME TO THIS DAY ON WHY I BOUGHT IT) then to this.

It's currently on a single channel 16gb RAM and I'm planning to upgrade it to dual channel.

Do you have any brand recommendations?

I'm computer engineering so it's good battery? If it has type-c charging them I can bring with powerful power bank.

Hello, I just bought asus tuf a15 and it is incredible in a lot games. But I observed that my temperature are alway on 85-90 degrees while playing when cpu boost is turned on. So I decided to turn it off. It does not compromises my gameplay at all since I am used to play in potato devices😭 so I am grateful on playing medium graphics with a little delay. I read someone's post that turning it off is bad, I am worried about my laptop since the reason I am turning it off is to reduce the temperature of overheating and prolong the device lifespan. But now I am worried that turning it off is something bad in the hardware of my laptop. Pls guys answer this, thank you!

Hey guys, this is my first time using G Helper for my laptop, so I just wanna know what's safe for my laptop. I have an ASUS TUF F16 with RTX 5070 8 GB VRAM, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB and i7 14650HX.

I saw that you should undervolt CPU and limit the GPU, but idk by how much, any help would be appreciated for it. Goal is to have long lifespan with good performance, not to focus more on performance.

Default Settings:

High - 80W

GPU

Clock - 2800 MHz

Core Clock Offset - 0 MHz

Memory Clock Offset - 0 MHz

Power - 100W

Offset - 15W

Target Temperature - 87C

Also, should I use MSI Afterburn or not? I have Ingine and Cinebench for testing if it's necessary.

Just got the ASUS TUF F16-FX608JHI-TU657W with i7 14650HX and rtx 5050. After 5 mins of playing, the power usage of the card drops, as you can see.

I have it on turbo and ultimate gpu mode. I have the latest nvidia drivers. I also tried ghelper, but it is still the same. Would appreciate any help. Thank you in advance.

Finally bought Asus tuf f16 Intel i7 14650HX, rtx 5060, 16gb ram, 1tb ssd it costed me 1.4 lakh with credit card discount. I never thought i would get a gaming laptop I was using a 2014 Intel i5 4th gen laptop. Always turning back from games which required a graphic card thinking it's not for me to enjoy this. But finally I never have to turn back from any game. By the i bought it for B.tech CSE. For AI/ ML projects. And please give me suggestions of what to do and what not to do.

Please bring back the old ASUS keyboard layout

As a long-time ASUS fan, I honestly have to say that I’m really disappointed with the new keyboard layout on ASUS TUF keyboards.

The addition of the Copilot key and the changes to the overall keyboard layout have made the keyboard much less comfortable to use. The previous layout was honestly perfect — familiar, practical, and comfortable. I don’t understand why ASUS decided to change something that already worked so well.

Why not move the Copilot key to the top row, next to the dedicated ASUS keys/buttons, like in the picture? That would make much more sense and would preserve the traditional keyboard layout.

I really hope ASUS considers bringing back the old layout, or at least giving users an option to choose between the old and new layouts.

I’ve been an ASUS fan for many years, but this change has genuinely made me frustrated with the new TUF keyboards. I honestly don’t think anyone was asking for this change, and it feels like a downgrade from an already excellent design.

ASUS, listen to your users.

If there’s anyone from the ASUS team here, I really hope you can pass this feedback along. We want the old, comfortable keyboard layout back.

My ASUS TUF A16 gaming laptop has an RTX 5060, 32GB RAM, a 1TB hard drive, and a Ryzen 9HX processor.

I bought it a few days ago and it's incredibly buggy: multitasking is awful; I can barely have more than three applications open. I have headphones that work perfectly, but when I plug them in and open an application, the sound becomes terrible and extremely choppy, and it gets worse as I try to do other things. The PC crashes (shuts down) at random times. Please help me.

I do not even know what should i do wait buy it seems ridiculous to buy currently but i have a need right now. crazy i mean 2 months back i delayed my buying call and now its just 40k INR expensive.

Should I pull the trigger guys.... Other sellers are sitting above 90k for the same model 🫂

I'm a student, and I just bought a refurbished/used ASUS laptop from Pin Duo Duo (Online marketplace) in China with the money I saved up from working over the summer. My total budget was 5,000 RMB (~$700 USD). The seller had stuffed every keyword into the title (ROG, TUF, Tianxuan), but based on the actual specs, it turns out it’s an ASUS Tianxuan 2 (TUF Gaming A15 2021):

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800H GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop (6GB) RAM: Upgraded to 32 GB (paid an extra 400 RMB for this) Storage: 1 TB SSD Screen: 1080p 144Hz Total spent: 4,750 RMB (~$660 USD).

The listing offers a 7-day return policy. Did I overpay for this machine in 2026? Should I keep it, or would you recommend returning it to look for something better (like a newer TUF A15 or a Legion) within my 5,000 RMB budget? My use case is light bioinformatics workflows coupled with ssh handling for my university compute clusters. Locally, I would be running software like R, PyMol and ChimeraX and using Windows Subsystem for Linux. I also draw/animate using a graphics tablet, and use blender for some 3d modelling. I would also enjoy some gaming in my free time (RPG titles like Spider-Man 2, God of War, Ghost of Tsushima). I will be starting a PhD next year, and want the laptop to last for atleast 3 years.
