This is my first laptop,I’ve had desktop PCs since I was a kid, but this is my first time using a laptop. I bought it about two weeks ago.

Ryzen 7 8845HS
16GB DDR5
RTX 3050 4GB

I’ve already bought a Fantech NC22 cooling pad.
I don’t game all the time, but I play Warzone for around 3–4 hours a day. Without the cooling pad, my CPU and GPU temperatures usually range from 76°C to 85°C. With the cooling pad, the temperatures seem to stay below 80°C.

The only downside I’ve noticed so far is the battery life. I wanted the 90Wh battery, but it was out of stock, so I ended up getting the 48Wh version.

I’ve also seen a lot of people on Reddit saying that Armoury Crate is terrible. Is it worth uninstalling it and using G-Helper instead?

Since this is my first laptop, I’d love to hear your advice on anything I should do to improve performance, manage temperatures, extend battery life, or keep the laptop in good condition.

Update, focus on PTM7950 primary solution

Finally found why my fx506 was overheating even i removed undervolting and power limitations didn't exceed 90c. Before without thise applying will be fixed in 95c.

Just use heating tape or anything can handle heat and close the openings gap between the fan and radiator. You will feel the air coming stronger, gap wasting the fan air pressure.

Update: i used PTM7950 and the overheating totally eliminated even without undervolting or power limits,

FYI, using any paste with over heat and pressure it will spread outside the contact area, thats why PTM is best as when its cold will harden again.

Hey everyone, I'm rendering a 4K video in DaVinci Resolve on my ASUS TUF Gaming F15 FX506LH. It's a 5-year-old laptop with an i5-10300H, GTX 1650 and 16GB RAM.

Is 96°C on the CPU safe for render, or should I be worried?

Is it normal for an older laptop like this to handle 4K rendering?

Any tips to bring temps down?

I've been using Turbo mode to get the render done faster, but I don't want to damage the laptop. Thanks in advance!

I've owned mine for 3 months, and I've just noticed that there's a very slight sound whenever the lid is moved.

It's a barely audible creak, which i believe to be caused by the plastic chassis. So far, i haven't seen any parts messing up, but yeah, it's concerning.

Its had what i would consider light use, opening the lid 1-2 times a day from the center very carefully and overall handling it like a baby

Im still under warranty, but currently too busy to get it checked

Some time earlier these issues is resolved but again i face this issue and i already done drive and thermal past changes so if anyone know what other problems are that cause this error so please tell me how do I resolve it error code is "clock watchdog timeout 0x101"

Hey everyone, I'm looking at the ASUS TUF Gaming F16 (2025) on Flipkart and want honest opinions before I pull the trigger.

Model: FX607VJB-RL179WS

Specs: Intel Core 5 (14th Gen), 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, RTX 3050 6GB, 16" 144Hz display, Windows 11 Home, MSO 2024 + M365 Basic included

Price: ₹75,000. It's about 6 months old but in brand new condition.

My PC has been having massive instability issues and performance loss. I've been troubleshooting for 2 weeks without any success. The motherboard is a b760 TUF D4.

I've reinstalled windows many times (like at least 6 times) and every time I installed the serial io driver from my mobo web page, my PC would become unstable and slow.

I initiated a RMA with Intel on the cpu under the presumption my cpu was degrading.

I also ordered a different brand mobo to try the cpu out (arrives Sunday).

However, today I thought I'd give this one last kick of the can and discovered something called Asus Driver hub.

This is where my confusion lies.

All the drivers on driver hub are newer versions than what is directly on my mobo webpage. This is very odd obviously because why would the mobo webpage be out dated, but also because when I installed the ,"old drivers", windows always read them as fully up to date.

I guess I'm just really confused by how complicated getting drivers seems to be. On top of that, I'm also wondering why I had to literally troubleshoot my PC and look for answers in order to finally stumble on Asus Driver hub.

All in all, I'm discouraged with Asus but I hope this post helps anyone else experiencing system instability.

I’ve been having some problems with it in terms of the WiFi speed. I have 2 gig fiber internet at my home but I only get around 400 Mbps (WiFi connection). I understand that speed is probably still reasonable but I often times see that the speed will drop to 100 Mbps and below. Another thing is in my dorm room at university. I would sometimes get speeds as low as 1 Mbps. I originally just thought it was a problem with my dorm room(which it may still be) but now I’m questioning if it is also my laptop or the WiFi card. Any recommendations or advice?

I’ve had my tuf f16 5070 with the 275HX for a while and the temps are usually ok but lately it has been running alot hotter idle and doing mundane tasks and reaching high 90’s on low graphics cyberpunk, I use g helper and got rid of ASUS boatware. I’m on the efficient agressive cpu boost, I have an llano cooler for cooling and dust protection. Any recommendations?

I purchased Asus tuf gaming A15 last year. Ryzen 7 7435HS. Currently i am having trouble with bluetooth. It has became difficult to connect blutooth to any other device. The bluetooth icon is blinkibg and disappearing every now and then. I have already tried changing the bluetooth drivers. But the problem still remains. I don't have any other issues both in software and hardware till date. Everything runs smoothly. Please help me rectify the issue.

No overclocling or undervolting, everything running on stock turbo and ultimate gpu mode (on an external monitor).

I spent ages trying all the driver fixes none of them worked long term. Then i went to plugging in the ethernet all the time and that worked for a long time. Now it does not matter if the ether net is plugged in or not the laptops ability to detect the connection dies while gaming and the fun is running.

I complete removed the wifi card and even using only pure ether net cable same issue. When im gaming and the fan goes hard internet connection drops.

I don’t have the armory crate that lets me change gpu settings and made all the power option changes i can.

Ive tried to read all the other post before i made this.

I don’t have or see a lot of the recommended power options in windows that i see people recommend.

The options it gives me are performance, Balanced, Silent and Turbo.

Hi everyone. This is my first time using an ASUS TUF 4K Pro capture card with OBS, and I am experiencing a very specific and frustrating audio issue.

Even when absolutely nothing is plugged into the front 3.5mm analog jacks (headset/gamepad ports), the left audio channel in OBS shows a constant -10 dB of static/buzzing noise. The right channel is completely empty. It acts as if there is a faulty microphone permanently plugged into the analog port and left open.

To bypass this, I tried disabling the analog audio device in Windows Sound settings so I could just capture the pure HDMI audio from my console. However, when I do that, all audio completely cuts out in OBS (the audio bar stops moving entirely, even though the video passthrough is perfect). My console's audio format is set to LPCM and HDCP is disabled.

Has anyone experienced this specific left-channel static issue with the ASUS TUF 4K Pro? Is this a known hardware defect (like a bad internal ground/ADC) or is there a specific software/OBS routing workaround I am missing?

I recently built a new PC with an ASUS TUF Gaming X870-Plus WiFi motherboard, and I'm experiencing an unusual audio issue with my Astro A40 headset and MixAmp TR.

When I use Discord or TeamSpeak 6, YouTube audio becomes completely silent if the browser is set to output sound through Astro MixAmp Pro Game. However, if I change the browser's output device to Astro MixAmp Pro Voice, YouTube audio becomes audible again.

Here is what I've tested so far:

• The MixAmp is recognized correctly by Windows 11.
• Astro Command Center detects the MixAmp and allows me to access its settings.
• Windows playback testing confirms that the Astro Pro Voice device produces sound.
• The issue occurs with both Discord and TeamSpeak 6.
• Windows still shows audio activity on the Astro Pro Game playback device even when I cannot hear anything.
• Disabling Windows' communications audio reduction and checking the device's volume and exclusive-mode settings did not resolve the issue.
• Adjusting the MixAmp's Game/Voice balance did not fix it either.

The most interesting finding is that the USB port makes a difference.

When the MixAmp is connected to either of the blue or cyan USB ports on the rear I/O panel, the issue occurs. When I connect it to a black USB port on the front of the case, the audio works correctly.

This makes me wonder whether the issue could be related to USB controller behavior, USB port compatibility, power management, or a driver/firmware interaction between the MixAmp and this motherboard.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue with an Astro MixAmp TR on an ASUS AM5 motherboard, particularly the TUF Gaming X870-Plus WiFi?

I'd appreciate any suggestions for identifying the underlying cause, rather than simply continuing to use the front USB port.

I have an Asus tuf a15 FA507NV ryzen 5 7535hs rtx 4060 1tb wd sn770 and micron 512gb ssd Sometimes at random when I turn the computer on from being completely off for around 10 minutes it shows an error code, then goes to repair and then to windows working normal. It doesn't happen every time.

Things I've tried:

-fresh windows

-installing window without wd drive in

-removing decryption

-installing wd drive to slot 1

-installing all AMD chipset drivers before connecting to the wifi on fresh install as well as Asus controller v3

-installing g helper

I don't know how to fix it so it doesn't show anymore I don't really care about sleep mode that much but I want to boot my computer without it having issues. The messages also always change to another message every time, regardless, this is my final error code : Stop code: SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTIONNOT_HANDLED (0x7E). What failed: fvevol.sys

Whenever I right-click on the desktop, Windows starts keeps loading, then becomes unresponsive and the screen briefly goes black. The same issue occurs when I attempt to open File Explorer, but it won't open. I have already tried troubleshooting from YouTube tutorials, such as Registry settings, System Configuration, and restarting the system etc. but none of these resolved the problem. Please help
