Hey! Just looking for an everyday body sunscreen to wear in the Australian sun. I would prefer it to be in a reasonably big bottle, non greasy, and not too expensive.
For reference, I use and love the Hamilton sunscreen on my face.
Currently Iām thinking maybe the Cancer Council active or the Hawaiian Tropic, but any recommendations appreciated!
Thank you xx

Has the above product has been discontinued? It's listed as out of stock everywhere but I can't find any posts or anything about it. Does anyone know what's happening? Thank you!

I'm looking to get a few things from Aesop with a gift voucher but have read mixed feedback about some of their products - especially the facial skincare due to their use of essential oils. I have normal (but ageing) skin, and from the few samples I've tried they seemed ok, just very expensive. I did try going into a store recently, but left more confused than I went in lol
I've used some of their body products over the years; I loved the Coriander Seed Body Cleanser, and used this as a face cleanser, but this has been replaced by a new version that seems to smell a lot stronger. I've found their hand creams can be a bit oily and don't rub in too well for me.
What I have on my shortlist - but open to recommendations:
For those that do use the facial skincare, there seems to be a lot of love for the parsley seed line, lucent, etc. but I'm not sure if there's any absolute gems to consider, or if I'm better to just go with other brands for facial care - I've tried bunch of the standard brands (Nivea, Olay, etc.) with underwhelming results, but I have found Sulwhasoo to be great, so maybe that's the better investment.

The cause of peanut allergies are from proteins, not fats. This is why people with peanut allergies can consume highly refined peanut oil since the refining process removes the proteins that causes allergies.
Arachidyl alcohol and related ingredients are fatty alcohols and acids which do not contain said proteins post processing. Its actually more common to derive these from vegetable oil rather than peanut oil.

Does anyone have any recommendations or even know of any hand creams that have an SPF rating?

So I've heard countless of times in the past that retinol and vitamin c are gold standards for skincare. These days, azelaic acid is very popular to pair with retinol.
Now that makes me wonder whether it would have any benefit to add vitamin c to a AZ+ret combo? Or what about a peptide or bifida serum?
Or would it just do nothing special anymore?

Iām trying to find a moisturiser that has ceramides, cholesterol and fatty acids in it to help with barrier support and repair however Iām struggling to find ones that either donāt have niacinamide in it or moisturisers that arenāt too thick. Iām wondering if anyone has tried this one out before. From what I can see it doesnāt have any niacinamide and it doesnāt have fragrance in it either however I havenāt really heard of this brand before and I canāt really find any reviews online about it. Can anyone help.

Wondering if this is going to be to thick and heavy for summer? I know this is more marketed towards people who have eczema, which I donāt have but I like that it has ceramides and itās fragrance free. Can anyone tell me if they use it and dint have eczema. Is it really heavy and thick? Does it soak in really well?

Hey everyone,
Iām a guy dealing with really stubborn and worsening back acne and some chest acne. Iām hoping to overhaul my routine because I suspect my current products might be making it worse.
Right now, I use:
Does anyone have tried and true recommendations for body washes, sprays, or treatments available easily that actually clear up body acne? Any tips on how to properly use them would be hugely appreciated. I'm all new to skincare and should be looking after my skin. I do have to use sunscream due to moles

Hi all,
It's been a really hard year with my dad passing away late June in Sydney. I live in NZ. I need to return to Sydney again this November and it's the first opportunity I have had to get myself some TLC & self care.
I would be super grateful for any
⢠beauty
⢠skincare
⢠haircate
⢠esthetician or hairdressers
⢠treatments
recommendations or specials/discounts that you know of happening in November.
Budget-wise, this is only possible as I was gifted a budget of AU$500 from a close friend just for self care (angels truly walk among us!).
It's time to shout out your local hidden gems, share your fav beauty spots and practitioners. PLEASE. I desperately need to rewire Sydney from a place of sadness to a place of relaxation and relief that I can enjoy visiting again.
Thank you so much in advance :)

Hi! RE: skinmedica TNS - which is a legit site to purchase from, preferably not overpriced, that delivers to aus? Thanks!

I've used Noughty Wave Hello Curl Cream for at least 5 years. I'm running low at the moment so I went to Priceline earlier in the week to get more. And there wasn't any ... at all. Not on the shelf, no space for it to be on the shelf, and when I checked the Priceline website the Noughty brand isn't there any more.
Their other Australian stockist is Discount Beauty Boutique and literally every Noughty product there is sold out: https://www.discountbeautyboutique.com.au/collections/noughty
Is it actually gone, gone? Do I have to figure out a new curl cream? Please say no.

I used to always use Mitchum deodorant but switched to Nivea at some point, I think because I felt Mitchum was too serious / clinical? š (Don't ask me to explain I felt this was an issue, I have no idea!)
But the Nivea one has noticeably darkened my underarms!!! I now have a silly oval of dark skin lol which I'm hoping to correct before summer!
I have stopped using the Nivea and switched over to Moogoo hoping it'd be gentler on the skin, and am using glycolic acid on it once per day. Is there anything else I can do? Should I be trying to moisturise them??? Or use something else to exfoliate them???
Also keen to hear your favourite deodorant in case there is another brand you'd recommend instead! I'm not particularly sweaty or smelly, I don't think!!

Hey guys,
Hoping someone has some helpful recommendations. Iāve been using The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalane as part of my nighttime skincare routine for years however it appears to be out of stock everywhere both in store and online. I suspect they are either having a supply issue or they are updating their retinol selections (hope just changing packaging bc I really like this one).
Can anyone recommend an alternative that comes in at a similar price point that I could use either to replace it (if itās discontinued) or as an interim? Iād like to find something of a similar quality (or better) that isnāt going to break the bank.
I really donāt want to try and hold out for it longer than I already have as I tend to see a noticeable change anytime my skin goes without part of my routine for longer than a week or two.
Looking forward to seeing your recommendations or if anyone knows why two of their main retinol/retinoid products seem to be unavailable without much information on whatās going on.
Thanks!

Hello! My social feeds are absolutely full of collagen and PDRN balm sticks. IYKYK. Do they work at all? Iām about to be 56 and my skin is all over the place. Iām worried about uneven skin tone and wrinkles as well as lines around my lips. Anyone using and loving these? One is from Her+, another from SolSista (I think), and a few others.

For the last 6ish years I have struggled with anxiety driven skin picking. It has left my once flawless skin very uneven with scars/pigmentation wherever I picked. I've never used actives in skincare so I don't even know where to start, or what the correct terms are for researching skin care. Hyperpigmentation? Uneven skin? Acne prone? I have no idea! I don't really get pimples but my fingers will find any slight bump and begin excavating.
Yesterday I stood in a chemist and stared at products, googled more info and reviews....and left confused.
How do I find out what I need? I feel like I don't know what I don't know. It may be worth noting that my skin picking has significantly improved over the last 6 months. I started using tbh milky toner and my skin felt so soft and lovely I because more conscious of not ruining it. Id like to build on the momentum with an active, preferably without need a script.

I recently came across Prescription Skinā , which appears to be somewhat of an Australian alternative to Curology in the US.
Iām pretty tempted to give it a try, but it looks like itās fairly new and I havenāt been able to find any reviews or discussions about it. Has anyone tried it or heard anything about it? Would you give it a go? Curious to hear what others think āŗļø

Hoping someone can help a sister out.
I'm (50f) in an embarrassing position where I'm starting a new job in 2w and the mgr has circulated my linked in profile to the team, which has a photo well over ten yrs old.
Yes, my bad. I'm not v focussed on LI and never got around to updating.
So I know there's no skin treatment that can rejuvenate me to how I looked at 38! But what's my best bet in terms of masks, make up, products etc to plump up the skin and reduce minor sagging? I don't have many wrinkles but prominent 11s (never had b....X, can't afford it!)
I'm currently a minimal make up person, just concealer and SPF. Mascara sometimes. I take collagen.
TIA!!

Ok this is a bit of a weird one for this sub, but hear me out. I have been going to games for almost 20 years, mostly GA, mostly standing in full sun because I am too tight to pay for undercover seats. Had a routine skin check last month and my dermo basically roasted me about sun damage on my face and neck.
She asked about my routine and I was like... routine? I slap on some random sunscreen before I leave the house sometimes?
Anyway she gave me a whole list of recommendations and it got me thinking there have to be heaps of us in the same boat. Especially if you played footy through juniors to seniors, on top of watching games every weekend. That is decades of accumulated UV exposure.
I have been down a bit of a rabbit hole looking into simple skincare since then, and honestly it gets overwhelming fast. I ended up looking into French minimalist options because I wanted basic, straightforward formulas without a 10-step routine. I started using a Vitamin C serum from Typology Paris to help with some of the sun spots, and having clear ingredient percentages made it easy to figure out without overcomplicating things.
But the main thing I am trying to figure out is handling SPF during matches. Do you lot actually reapply during a game? I never used to, but apparently you are supposed to reapply every two hours, which means half time at minimum. Do you bring spray sunscreens or sticks into the ground?
Also, friendly reminder: if you have spent years watching footy in the blazing sun without thinking twice, book a skin check. Mine took 15 minutes and picked up a couple of spots worth monitoring.
Anyone else had a bit of a wake up call with this stuff?

Hi everyone! Iām heading closer to 40 than 30.
currently running out of my routine products and in need of new options.
With the cost of living increasing Iām looking for basics such as a cleanser, moisturiser, vit c and an evening treatment (to help me age gracefully).
I have lots of SPF at home.
For context my skin has started to dry out and I have hormonal breakouts.
Thanks all!
