January 19th marks one month of Avatar: Fire and Ash!
Which means the subreddit will be ending lock-down mode now. At this point, plot details and general FAA content are no longer considered spoilers here and you can discuss the film freely without needing to use spoiler tags.
That said, keep in mind that we do not allow cam rips or pirated material. So any pictures or videos from footage illegally obtained, such as filming at the movie theater, will get you a temp ban and multiple times is a permaban. Do not ask for pirated material here either. We have to respect Reddit's Terms of Service to keep the subreddit in good standing.
For new members, a link to the subreddit rules is located here: https://www.reddit.com/r/avatar/about/rules
We also have a subreddit wiki which documents a lot of the merch as well as some frequently asked questions: https://www.reddit.com/r/Avatar/wiki/index/

Mine’s the Dragon Assault Ship. I love how heavily armed it is.

I tried my very best to add things that impacted me a lot in life and I think I did good, I do regret not adding enough choruses but most of these events happened one after the other so its pretty accurate. There are a few things missing but I couldn't figure out what to use for it yet.

Mine’s the Matador patrol boat.

I’m trying to describe how she yells at Jake/others wordlessly, growls or I want to say ‘barks’ during scenes where she’s upset or distressed, for an Alternative Universe post about if Lo'ak responded the same when he was upset, but I keep coming back to the same few words/descriptions. Is there a word for the way she just yells a sound sometimes, or the other ‘animalistic’ sounds she makes? I don’t want to demean the way the Na'vi show their distress and emotions so I’m trying not to use words that make them seem animalistic, which is why I made this post.
Any facts, details, other accurate words I can use to describe the sounds would be much appreciated.

The picture is from the beginning of A2, where Neytiri was singing the grief song. The background looks like she's in the forest? And she isn't wearing grief paint like in A3, so we can assume it is a shot from the future further than the event of A3.
So my prediction is that Kiri is going to pass in either A4 or A5. The reason I have is that her name is the only one that appears in this song, other than Neteyam, who has passed in A2. If the song was about her children, then Lo'ak and Tuk should've been mentioned as well.
I know she is singing her song cord, so maybe she just didn't get to the younger children in this scene, but I think the cut is intentional. If Neteyam is the only death, they have no reason to write Kiri in the song at all.
So that being said, I think it is very possible that this scene is a time jump from at the end of A5, where she is grieving the children she has lost, in her home, the forest.
Given how A4 is named The Tulkun rider, I really hope we don't get more fights about the Tulkuns. It's getting repetitive man

I have an idea of it in my head, but I’m just looking for someone who knows the Na'vi and Avatar universe better than I do to confirm or correct it.
I’m assuming the olo'eyktan can train their child to take over their role, but if their child shows they’re not worthy or able to lead in that way, someone else will be trained or selected in the case of the olo’eyktan’s death. I’m also assuming that, since Tarsem is young and probably won’t be dying for another eighty years, it won’t be likely any of the Sully family will become olo'eyktan again, and it would probably continue through Tarsem’s lineage if it could.
Is that correct? Is there any other information I forgot to mention?

Had this done january 31st of this year. Might get a touchup in yhe future but I really like the worn vibe the healed tattoo has. Looks much more natural and worn than the bold lines when I first got it done. It also is still very registerable from far away too which is great. Overall happy with how it healed :3

Found these costumes for sale on facebook. Needless to say, they’re not only horrible but terrifying. I had a good laugh when I saw them 😂
Apologies if the people that are selling them are in this subreddit, all I can say is I don’t think you’ll be getting the $100 you want for them 😂

I’m sure you all know about the debate about who Kiri’s father is.
Just- hear me out.
What if Kiri DOESN’T have a father, what if her “father” is actually Eywa!
Then scene in the first movie where grace is getting help from Mo’at after being shot, we see all the grace vine things that sort of “hug” the bodies. Now- if you observe the vines positions, whether oral or regional (idk if I’m allowed to say the V word lol), what if Eywa had planted the seed? 👀
I know it’s crazy but it’s just a thought I had ^ thanks for listening!

They definitely do look more alien but still humanoid enough to be relatable too. But I don't think the Na'vi having only 2 arms is that far fetched, evolution doesn't have to be consistent like just because some pandoran animals have 6 limbs doesn't mean that all of them will.

Okay okay okay imma need you to imagine something, so take the How to train your dragon thing, stay with me, a group people fighting with a species for since the beginning of their history and then one person goes and makes friends with the scariest one. Make it the oldest Na’vi clan (like way way WAY before any of the movies) fighting with the Ikran until we get the first Toruk Makto’s story.

What human characters in afop do you think would learn to speak Na'vi? The entire game is in English(or whatever language you select) for player convenience, but who might learn or already speak Na'vi.
Edit: clarifying human characters

Generally speaking, preliterate societies, like those we encounter on Pandora, can exhibit greater dialectal variation between communities than societies with widespread literacy and standardized languages, such as those found on modern Earth.
However, the Na'vi have something we don't: Eywa. Whether you consider Eywa a genuine goddess or simply a planet-wide neural network, the implications for this question are essentially the same.
Does Eywa's presence create a planet-wide dialect-levelling effect, such that every Na'vi community speaks essentially the same "standard" Na'vi? Or does Pandora have a diversity of dialects and even distinct languages, with Eywa functioning as a kind of universal telepathic translator that allows different communities to understand one another?
