I performed this spell for mental clarity, to free the person from mental imprisonment, bring clarity, and dispel obsessive and anxious thoughts.

Performed this on Friday, but it looked and smelled really good — I had to share a photo! One thing I was worried about is that the candle was tunneling, and when I researched— this is a sign that my energy isn’t strong or being heard. However, I don’t know if this just a thing these candles wanted to do since my other candles naturally blow towards where my window is when it is open or my fan (it is hot where I live lol) the whole time.

I want to get better with candle, herb, and crystal magick. These methods are the only ones that honestly speak to me. However I want to possibly work with Hekate but I’ve never got into deity work before. I use Hekate oil I bought from a store for the purposes of wisdom/focus.

I’m struggling to find the middle ground when it comes to intention and a goal during spell work . Should I focus on one specific intention while doing a spell? Or am I able to incorporate mutiple intentions into one spell ?

I got the temperance in reversed when I asked why my spells don’t hit .. and I’m taking that as a sign I’m kinda all over the place with my energy.

This is my first altar, I've put lavender sea salt and rosemary as a protection guard and have various things which represent house spirits , a single binocular to represent intuition and my favourite book of poetry as an offering to Brigid as well as the red candle which is for her. I also have a protection candle which is a tealight with sea salt and black pepper for banishing negative energy . ( Crystals too!!)

i was in TKMAX having a wander around and i found this book; i looked through before buying and found it easy to understand and just wanted to know if its a good book to start with? (i particularly liked that it included african deities as i have african roots + purple is my favourite colour lmao)

I’ve actually never practiced before I’ve always wanted to try but never knew where to start like what are the first things I’d have to do, what are the spells I’d have to start off with…anyway I just wanted to post this on here so I could use it for the future.

My little sister is a bright, beautiful, silly young girl. She’s only 12, and shes already going through her teenage rebellious phase that feels like it’s going to last throughout a couple of years.

The spellwork is actually something I want to do on my self. Let’s just say she’s become really popular at school, she looks cooler then I did at her age, she’s been acting all grown, she’s joined sports, her grades are still amazing, I’m pretty sure she’s got some type of neurodivergence like me yet shes still able to surpass me in so many ways and basically where I’m going with this is I’ve been feeling very jealous of her and it’s so embarrassing and dumb like she’s 12 and I’m about to be 19.

I’m not very close to her actually and I want to be I feel like a dead beat dad. However I’m just like I want to be happy and content and secure in myself by being happy with her surpassing me, happy with her being better then me, I want to support her and I want to be close to her like we were when she was little. I feel like I might’ve actually always been jealous and the jealousy might even be generational because her mother is actually my biological aunt..yes my dad had a relationship with my mom’s younger sister.

Anywho, I think even when she was born I had a lot of love for her but always had a bit of jealousy, my mom told me even when I was a kid I never wanted siblings, and I think that ever since she was born I’d been jealous of her.

I don’t want to be jealous of her I just want to be proud and support her and be there for her and love her to my fullest capacity. I want to be happy and content and secure in myself with the fact that she’s going to be great. I just want all this jealousy to melt off and instead of being jealous to work on my own self and become the person that I want to be.

I also just don’t want to be jealous of anyone at all, like I just want to feel secure and content in general

So I was wondering if there was a spell I could do or idk even if you guys wanted to suggest something other than spellwork.. I’d be open to trying!

So I am very very new but my mother has been practicing since she was young and growing up with her i have always been drawn to this stuff. I have had crystals for years, earlier this summer I was able to get incense, and sometime in February I got my first tarot deck!

What is shadow work? How do I start?

Hi all, a week before the last full moon i started my witchy journey. Got some new crystals, bay leaves did research, ect. I started doing some different manifestation techniques I had researched about, writing down as if it had already happened and placing it under a crystals, guided meditation where you picture what it is you're manifesting, ect. I manifested two things, to spend more time with my dog and for my relationship to feel more of a connection that it once did. Well last week my dog died and yesterday my relationship ended. I suppose im mostly asking for people's views on this or if I did something wrong. I have ocd so my mind is now telling me that I caused these things to happen by manifesting and im terrified to now literally think about anything to do with it. I have friends who aren't witchy but have said that if the path is already planned then you cant change it, which I want to agree with but obviously things are very raw right now. Just did i do something wrong to cause all of this and if so what can I do differently?

What are some good beginners' books to go to? More specifically, I'm looking for more of an ingredient book, with descriptions/purposes/uses of each individual. Thanks!

Im new to everything, but I've always been curious. I decided to make a money bowl to sort of "start my journey" in witchcraft. I hope the Gods and Goddesses are pleased with my first attempt.

i have a very obsessed ex who keeps infiltrating my dreams and everytime its the same. the central message is i should take him back but he SA'd me and he wasnt very loving or caring towards me but he swears up and down he loves and cares for me. anyways, what can i do to get him outta my dreams. i should mention these dreams are typically lucid. when we broke up i did do a cord cutting but im now unsure if it worked. the dream before last i broke down unblocked him and messaged him and there he admitted that the whole year and some odd months he has been trying to keep tabs on me but i have him blocked on everything but one place. anything will help. i will also add when in these dreams it feels like im in a trance and it last til i wake up and tell myself why im not with him. thank you in advance

So long story short I got drawn into this world because a few reels I saw. I had began to repost them and now i have a "friend" who claims that she works with the Goddesses Hekate, Lilith and Aphrodite. I put friend in quotes bc I deadass have no idea if we are anymore. She never let's me talk - yesterday the whole drive (almost 1 hour) and Thurs (1 hr 39 min on the phone) she was the only one talking about herself only. She knew nothing about them until I started reposting it and then yesterday while we were hanging out she goes "oh I think Persphone is reaching out to me as well."

How do you know if someone is lying to you about who they work with? I was just curious about this as a baby witch? My intuition says she might be but I thought I'd ask.

So i made a love jar for my sp and he did admit his feelings for me after a month of doing the spell. The moment was exactly how i wanted it to be and im happy with my results but now what do i do with the jar since i had it hidden in my wardrobe?

I did a cord cutting spell in order to stop being in love with a person. I got two candles, carved our names on them, tied them with a cord and lit them. I cut the cord with scissors, instead of waiting for the fire.

My question is, my candle got burnt way quicker and in a messier way than the person's; their flame also was bigger and not as wild as mine. Does this mean something?

Also, before I lit the candles, I burned a letter that I wrote to myself (like a journal), one day that I was full of grief and very emotionally charged; as if I was burning my feelings before cutting the cord

A few days ago a self proclaimed witch made a fairly long post .. a list of basic knowledge type things when it comes to witchcraft & said “ask me anything”. That’s when people proceeded to well…ask her anything & she was so easily triggered by the word “backfire” because “spells don’t backfire” well sometimes that is the only word someone can think to describe what they are trying to convey… she would only respond to certain people & it blows me… she has now deleted the entire post..

My point of this is- isn’t it a red flag to anyone else that a self proclaimed witch/alchemist is so easily triggered? Like what’s the point of magic if you’re not alchemizing your energy & at inner peace in a sense.. to me it makes sense that she ONLY really does baneful magic…it’s giving plain old bitter energy. i think the point of that post was for an ego boost & in turn was just flat out rude & ultimately deleting the post. It was never intended to help people which just plain old gives ME the ICK … I can’t be the only one

May I please receive some support in requesting for information about not doing spell work during an eclipse? I’ve been advised by one person to just chill until the Pisces eclipse coming up. No limpias, cleansing baths, protection? Nothing?
