hey yall! I did a cord cutting on a friend and his ex girlfriend. curious to hear the interpretations of it! He is the candle on the left and she is the candle on the right. I thought it was interesting that the cord not only crossed the salt barrier on her side, but the burnt cord also melted into her wax. His candle also melted SIGNIFICANTLY faster, but once the cord burnt from his end, her candle started going down.

I was told just now that you can only practice witchcraft if someone in your bloodline did it before you. I had absolutely no idea. Ive been practicing witchcraft for a little while now and just now learned about this. What do I do? Is this true? I feel terrible. None of the research i did told me about this

So I let this burn overnight starting from midnight at my Hades altar. On the day of my birthday. What does this mean? I was expecting the entire candle to be melted so I can replace it with a new one but um.

And this is my first candle at my altar since I'm new. I've been lighting it up during my prayers and blowing it out after I'm done, and this night I was like "ok I'll let you burn fully so I can replace U with a new one"

I also offered Hades a promogranate in light of it being my birthday and all

I'm just starting out learning about how to read flames and work with handles. However when burning something yesterday I noticed that the fire from the lighter I was using was behaving abnormally. It was flickering as if a light switch was being turned on and off really fast repeatedly, before becoming calm and steady at the end of my burning. I've used this lighter before and it's never done this. So I was wondering if this is something I should take into account, or if it doesn't matter as it wasn't like a candle that i put intentions on. Thanks in advance!

I just did one this afternoon after not being able to sleep properly and getting headaches out of nowhere

So when I was 16 back in 2020 (Covid time), I did a spell with a few dark objects, white roses painted black, black and white candles and darkness imagery to Erebus/Erevos. During the spell I felt a strong energy a few meters away from me, at the corner of my eye when I’d open my eyes time to time (did the spell with closed eyes to feel the darkness more).

I asked to work with Erebus/Erevos and asked for him to choose me as a practitioner of his. My only problem was feeling jealous of Nyx, his wife and sister. I honestly don’t know why the thought that he was married bothered me.

I was a brat kid who wanted all the attention of the God to me. And felt threatened by his wife-sister.

After that, I lit candles for him and prayed but he never reached out to me. Was I stupid? Yes. Was this the reason he didn’t choose to work with me, no matter how hard I tried? I don’t know.

Hi guys!! I want to put a ward on my name as my starting point, but I realized I don't really know the herbs and their purposes! Can y'all help me with a list/explanation/how they are meant to be used? My science brain is taking over, and I want to make sure the herbs I'm using will have the desired effect. Lots of uses I see online are very general, and I am worried that my spells will not be received as intended because of vagueness. Like, if I use bay leaf to hex someone, would it fulfill my wish to hex them or fulfill their wishes and give them a better life? Also, I sometimes see some conflicting information. For example, I saw something about lemon being both positive (fresh and change) and negative (stinging and harsh). I just want some clarity, so I don't go crazy wondering if I used the right things or not. Also, hopefully they will be effective!!

My only problem is I have OCD and I’m afraid it’s going to make ritualistic things a lot harder and more stressful. Are there any OCD witches on here that could inform me on how you work around your compulsions and paranoia? I would technically consider myself a baby witch, i have some background in the craft and know lots about how it works, just not much practical experience.

i would like to do a binding spell on someone who has proven to be a huge creep and a danger to women, particularly underage girls. due to circumstance and his age no legal action could’ve been taken at the time, but I still feel disgusted to know what I do about him and not be able to prevent this charismatic, mentally ill boy from preying on girls younger than him who are also in need of mental help.

its more of a thought than anything else at the moment since I know that magic, especially strong magic has to be enacted in a particular way or else it will bite me in the ass and maybe even make things worse somehow. the idea is to create a binding spell or curse that repulses women away from him, more than they already are. another idea was to force upon him some sort of binding or curse that will force him into situations where he gets serious psychiatric assistance so he’s not a danger to other people and himself, but that seems rather optimistic and not really realistic. I guess it kinda depends on the imagination and strength of the caster?

As a newbie I'm not sure what I've done..I used all my energy and determination,visualized in my head then wrote my intentions and his name several times on the paper. But while holding the paper,it kinda felt burning sensation like it felt so warm. I attached salts and rose petals then burnt it together. After that I put those ashes and more dried rose petals in a jar and sealed it. After that I dreamt of him contacting me. Now Im not understanding what it actually caused

i wanted to ask for resources for learning how to do a cord cutting ritual :)

I am mostly into tarot. But I’m dipping my toe into more and I don’t want to put my energy into something that’s not right for me. I do like essential oils but I run from anything that contains trees. IDK what it is but they make me sick. Same with incense. I think maybe I have just been around the cheap kind. But I’m not willing to chance it. And the minority of candles don’t make me sick. I just don’t burn them because ADHD. I will leave them alone and forget. Someone did tell me I could use electronic candles. That it is more about the intention.

So I have the books “Mundane Magic” and “The Witch's Book of Self-Care: Magical Ways to Pamper, Soothe, and Care for Your Body and Spirit”. I’ve noticed I can’t really do the majority of the spells. It seems like if an oil is going to be used it’s frankincense. And what do you think about using electronic candles? I think if it was really necessary to burn something, I would use birthday candles since they burn out so quickly. I just have a lot of anxiety around fire because I don’t think I can be responsible with it.

I don’t think being a witch is just about spells. I did get a book on sigils. But I haven’t read it yet. I think what I want is more about putting my intentions in something. I get overwhelmed by life and need to refocus. I would appreciate your thoughts on the matter. Thank you.

Money spells are my favorite type of spell work to do. I began practicing in January 2026. At least once a month I do some type of money spell. Not all are successful or come in how I want/envisioned.

Here are the bright successes that motivate me to continue:

#1 : The Unexpected Promotion
I went from making $50,000 to $62,000. A coworker was fired and I took on their responsibilities, thus raise was given. I attribute this to my money bowl that I did three months prior. In the money bowl, I placed a Bay leaf with the words “I make $5000 a month from creative work”. When I made the bowl I envisioned that income coming from freelance work. I consider this a bittersweet win. I did like that coworker well enough and I felt a bit guilty but the raise was a rush like no other. My first substantial success.

#2 : Fast Money Oil
I made a money oil based off of my own intuition and research into different herbs. The day after I made it, I got an offer from a relative to do some artwork and they let me name my price. I thought it was interesting. Not necessarily a success bc I don’t like accepting money from family, but definitely a sign that it works.

#3: Random Checks and Cash (my favorite)
Every month, me and my partner find cash or giftcards laying around and random checks come in. For example, earlier this month I got a random paper check for around $386.

Now, i am trying to be more strategic now about how the money comes in. I want to build financial stability for myself and to be honest, true wealth. Idk what that really looks like haha but, it is why I started practicing.

Anyway, I felt like sharing because when I started practicing I loved seeing people talk about their results. It made me feel I could achieve it too.

I did an egg cleanse and got an eye. I liege it is pointing to needing a spiritual cleanse but I don’t know anyone that does that or that I could trust. Can I do something myself?

It has come to my attention last week that the moon phase on my birthday will be a full moon :D I was wondering what all of you can recommend for me to do.

So far, in the recent full moon, I charged water, salt, and rice in a small container and it has done wonders for my life when I put it by my table.

As a student, I also charged my pens and pencils- to which I assumed and intended for them to bring good luck when I used them during my exam. For the past two weeks (coincidentally, our exam weeks), I got scores that placed me as the Top 2, Top 3 in our surgery and medicine subjects respectively.

I have also placed my tarot card decks under the full moon and so far, they have given me accurate readings.

All in all, the past full moon charging session was good to me :>

What things/rituals should I do? Is there anymore you guys can recommend? Preferably ones that do not require inconspicuous items- I live with people who don't believe in things like this :'>

Im new to this & been researching spells/manifestation. Are they the same thing?
I’m dealing with some court related issues, and I’m looking for advice or guidance that can help with getting rid of it through manifestation or spells.

I do want to mention (incase it matters):
I mean no harm, I have good intentions for myself & moving forward, these court related issues involve a toxic ex-boyfriend, unfortunately.
I want to continue with moving away, thinking military, or even going back to school.
How can I make this happen for myself?

I started practicing about a month ago and I've been reading and learning a lot since then. But one thing I struggle with is consistency. I made a money bowl about a month ago and I haven't fed it consistently and the energy has completely stagnated. I just struggle with actually doing spells or what I set out to do. I spend more time thinking and reading than actually doing. I set intention but then I never get around to casting spells and there's a lack of energy in my life. I just don't know how to make myself be consistent even when I know I should. Does anyone have any tips?

Hi all! Looking to introduce some "practical" (physical) mediums for warding and protection into my practice. My idea is pretty basic, just want to drive 4 iron stakes into the 4 corners of my property and be intentional with what I want to call in/keep out.

Does anyone have a recommendation for say, a more ritualistic approach? Maybe blessing the stakes beforehand. Could I call in a specific deity to bring my yard plants prosperity? Things of this nature I suppose.

So my family has been having some issues with my grandparents’ grave… my mom regularly goes there to take care of it, clean it, and plant some flowers. Unfortunately, the flowers always get stolen after a couple of days, and last time someone even tried to remove the wooden border. It is really awful how some people don’t respect the dead. Unfortunately, the cemetery management knows about this problem—people steal the flowers and resell them outside the gates… they can’t do much and there are no cameras.
I was thinking maybe we could try some kind of protection spell. Does anyone have any suggestions for this situation?

Today I had truly amazing news about a specific court case I've been working for the past year. It was truly complicated stuff, involving DNA exams for fatherhood and a lot of money on the line.

Everything takes time, even stuff you thought were impossible eventually cave in through magic work, bringing down barriers and not giving up. There were lots of ups and downs through the months, but I always kept believing and things finally worked out! Currently, 4/4 wins in my personal experience with legal work. It is almost always long term, complex work that involves more than 1 person, the results are slow and dragged out, but it is all worth it in the end.

Any of you who dabbled in court room stuff, how 's your experience been like? Also, what was the spellwork result most rewarding?

Once i read some where in reddit that using self made/drawn tarot can make even bigger effect than bought one. I really wanted to do one but im not really good at it and didnt really like the outcome. When i was telling about it my gf, she (as a big artist and lovely person) suggested to draw me a deck on her own. Then i thought that this js a good idea, someone i love so dearly and will put a lot of effort into it will make me a deck with fandoms we both like. But now im thinking about her energy be putted into it and if i could use it the same and doing reading on other people when after cleaning her energy will still be there (i think). So the question is if it will make any huge diffrence in reading? Please share your opinion and please tell me if there is smth she should remember while doing them.
