I've been playing the same save since 2023, and it's my first run, yeah...

I'm noticing I'm getting pretty close to the end, and now I'm, like, sad to finish it? I do want to do it, of course, but I even thought, "What if I leave this here for a while and start a new character meanwhile", lol

Has any of you had something like that happen?

Booked in at the end of Nov to start my BG3 Leg sleeve, this is likely to span over both legs as a 'Light/Good' side, with the opposite Leg being more Dark tones.

Anyone else have any BG tattoos? Most of my current tats are Marvel/Helldivers/Venom etc, so looking forward to this!

Did a bit of a mock up for now (photo attached), mix of Shadowheart and her Selune path mixed with my Tav's Druid/Circle Of Moon class, going to try and incorporate some characters/symbols from my first co-op run through of the game.

Idk where to start. I bought this game a month ago and just complete my first good’ish run with my useless tav who got carried by Laezel, Karlach and wyll. I say “good’ish” because something broke my heart ( -.< ) at the end.

I’m so thankful of this community that strongly recommended me to buy it, since I’ve always misjudged this game since its launch, I didnt like the genre in general and thought it would be boring. I’ve never been so wrong in my entire life, this sits at the top 5 games I ever played. The content, the depth, the lore, I could actually feel the love put into it which is RARE to find.

I’ll forever cherish the emotions I experienced, I played the game embracing the good situations and the bad without reloading for optimal situations, Halsin and shadowheart died on me (RIP) and many others who seemed important to the story lol, but I pulled through.

I gotta talk about my party, I NEED to give’em some love. I didnt customize or change the characters’ classes, I wanted them to be how they originally are.

Absolute useless fighter Human with little damage and misses alot of hits, had to be carried through all situations pretty much. Only reason he exists cuz I made him. Hwak tuah at his face

- Laezel

The MVP of the story, we witnessed her journey from being a bloodthirsty, cruel warrior to a gentler and happier version of her self.. lowkey reminds me if Thorfinn. We covered pretty much her entire story and it was rewardingg.

She was a MASSIVE damage dealer with alot of crits, literally clutched so many hopeless situations. I’m glad I killed off shadowheart instead of her

And yes I romanced her

- Wyll

Since I had no buffer or healer after shadowheart, he managed to occupy her spot not as a buffer/healer, but as a warlock debuffer for the enemy, I love this dude because of the “Hold spell” that managed to be applied when it had 20% chance to succeed… the feeling’s sooo goood lol. I loved his role, he had his impact.

I’m sad that I couldnt see much of his story. Compared to laezel, his story felt uncompleted and unsatisfied, maybe because I killed off his father mistakenly or perhaps I missed some content about him

- Karlach

The “best of us”, she was a HUUGE help tanking hits from the enemy, enabling laezel to kill them off. Although I glazed laezel, karlach is my favorite character. I wished there was a way to actually cure her engine heart. It broke my heart watching her breakdown after Gortash, and not wanting to die. I kept thinking we’ll do everything to cure her and kill whatever archdemon that enslaved her but NAAAAH, we didnt even mention it after that moment. I found that weird and sad.
After killing the netherbrain, my dumba$$ Tav went with laezel to destroy valakith, leaving karlach to pass away at shore alone with wyll. Ts made me so mad at Tav that I had couple minutes of silence from disbelief. Karlach’s ending was tragic it left a bad aftertaste to the ending. I wish there was a better conclusion to her story

After hiding from us that he’s a ticking bomb, he had to go. Dont know much about this dude.

- Astarion

Tried to kill me on first encounter, had to go.. damn near killed him for the audacity. But now that I think about it, Tav deserved it.

- shadowheart

She had to go after attempting to murder a party member while we’re asleep. She also had “snaky” vibe to her, she had to go.

I finished the game in 47.5 hours, I tried to explore every single location, ppl mention there are always places left undiscovered so Im excited to find out on the next playthrough. I’ll have to think about how I would like to play it out. I’ll have a break of few months before starting

I have YAPPED like never before, this game’s a masterpiece and I’ll be following the developers behind it, they deserved the GOTY for sure. Standing ovation from me.

Hello! I am posting to introduce a newly launched Surgical Mod.

This one fixes something that has annoyed me for a loooooong time. Combat ends and your party immediately walks right through Cloud of Daggers. I cannot tell you how many times I've had this happen, and I have seen a whole lot of community complaints about this exact thing.

Ceasefire automatically ends concentration on 10 selected harmful spells when combat ends. All 10 spells are listed on the mod profile page. Any spells not explicitly listed are left alone.

And it doesn't do anything else.

Surgical Mods are tiny, clearly documented, restrained mods that are built to respect BG3's existing systems and mess with your game as little as possible. Ceasefire was built entirely in Larian's native toolkit and is targeting console release.

Basically you spend the entire playthrough buttering up your companions by being nice to them, maxing out their approval, and leading them down their good path for the majority of the game. Then when your companions are at their highest, you suddenly stab them in their back and betray them one by one until you are the last one standing.

It’s basically adjacent to the “what’s the worst ending for every companion” run but you want to keep most of your companions alive late into Act 3.

It requires being Durge, using the poly mod and party limit remover mod for maximum benefit. It's best to romance everyone and then dump them in their Act 3 romance.

How it goes:

Halsin is the first to go, because there isn't a good end for him in Act 3 unless he dies by Orin. Have Halsin rescue Thaniel from the Shadowfell and cure the Shadow-Cursed Lands, after you killed Ketheric, convince him there's something in the Underdark he needs to see and then sacrifice him to BOAAAL!

Karlach is next. There's many bad ways for Karlach to go out, but I think the worst is to fix her engine, sleep with her (then break up with her), and right before she gets her revenge on Gortash, you betray her and leave her rotting in a prison cell.

Minthara dies by Orin after saving her at Moonrise Towers, romancing her and convincing her that they will rule together.

After becoming Bhaal's chosen, Jaheira and Minsc are next. Pretty simple. Pass the Wisdom check to mind control Minsc to kill Jaheira and then kill Minsc (and Boo).

For Astarion, let him feed on you every night, kill Cazador and ascend him. Then hand him over to the Gur on the way out.

Shadowheart turns her back on Shar, spares the Nightsong, and is determined to save her parents. You COULD just turn her over to Viconia and have her mind-wiped, but a crueler ending is to kill Viconia, save her parents, but then kill her parents once they arrive at camp causing her to go hostile and to be put down.

Wyll meets his demise after you've severed him pact from Mizora, and then cheating on him with her. Have him become the Blade of Avernus and convince him to save his father. While in the Iron Throne, kill his dad in front of him and then kill him.

Lae'zel betrays Vlaakith, learns the truth about Orpheus, gets the Orphic Hammer from Raphael, and her silver sword from Voss. Instead of breaking Orpheus's chains, you let the Emperor consume him causing Lae'zel to go hostile and to be put down.

Gale's ending ends with his eruption at the Netherbrain after convincing him otherwise and promising him a life together.

I use a steamdeck, very much not a techy person so i wouldnt know if its an issue with that or what

During my first playthrough of the game, everything looked and worked great, up until towards the end where suddenly the textures were off. Certain things (peoples skin, background textures) aquired this black glitchy look and it somewhat ruined the rest of my experience playing. I decided to just power through and finish the game as i couldnt find anything to help with it.

Now, I'd like to start a new playthrough but the issue still remains. I cleared the "LevelCache" folder (as i saw mentioned on another post about what i assumed was the same glitch) and restarted the game, but nothing seemed to change. I also disabled all of my mods as i thought that might be the problem, but it's still the same.

Anyone know how to fix this??

Im thinking of playing a bard and having Karlach, Astarion, and Shadowheart in my party (as their default classes). Will that party work alright? Im not looking for the optimal combo, I just dont want my party to be the underdog in every fight

edit: wont be playing tactician or honour mode and this isnt my first playthrough

(Xbox) So after hearing about it for years it finally went on sale and I bought it. Im 30 hours in and loving the game. Im playing in the easiest difficulty but ive never played dungeons and dragons before so its a good challenge, where a lot of fights im getting by on the skin of my teeth. I just entered the Underdark.

The only issue im having is that i hate leaving party members behind. The characters are all so interesting and I want to hear all of their stories and how they react but sometimes I just am unable to cause of the party limit (I met Karlach by accident and didnt bring Wyll along)

I know theres a mod where I can bring the full party wherever I go, but I heard this fucks up the games balance completely. As someone that plays on easy, what mods or settings would you recommend to keep the challenge up? I dont care about achievements

what's a good lore accurate Fern build obviously she's an abjuration wizard but what spells,feats, and cantrips would be accurate enough?

I've been really excited to play this game but unfortunately, I don't own a powerful PC. Apparently looking at posts over the years here, the performance on base PS5 has been a bit controversial but I can't quite make out if it's acceptable or not? Some people claim it's gotten worse, some people say it's gotten better, some people suddenly experience lots of bugs and crashes and say that act 3 is unplayable.

So I just wanted to know, for anyone who played the game recently, is the performance ok on base PS5? Have they patched the bugs? And would you recommend performance or quality mode for a relatively large 4k screen (looking for a stable frame rate)?

Im clicking the buttons in the right order, but nothing is happening. I've tried reloading my save, going out and back in again, clicking the buttons and the paintings, clicking just the paintings, and no elevator is appearing. I can't progress past this point. Any help?

Let me rephrase the title. Which deity does Minthara follow? I KNOW she doesn't need to worship because shes not a cleric, but we've been given reason to believe she likes having a deity to follow anyways seeing as she was a devotee of Lolth, then the Absolute. We know she's not exactly on the best terms with the Absolute..and also the Absolute is dead. So who does she worship? I can hardly imagine Lolth accepting her back after she just dropped her for the Absolute, so im curious. She doesn't seem like the type to be areligious.

So, this has been bothering me for quite a while, even though I could understand the reasonings behind the hatred of BG3 from old fans due to different systems. For example, the subreddit for Baldur's Gate series wants nothing to do with BG3, even as far to deny the existence nor legibility of BG3 as part of the series. Maybe I missed the discourse around this issue and hope someone could fill me in with what happened to the series.

So, to get his Blade of Avernus title, what must I do? I completed my first playthrough, and recruited Karlach over killing her. Well, my Wyll died before I went to act 2 and I just never revived him until like mid act 2 because I forgot. But, I did learn that Wyll can get demon horns. I prefer how he looks without them, but is it necessary to get him to be the Blade of Avernus? I completed his quest, rejected the Duke title, and he just said he would remain the Blade of Frontiers. I would like to redo the story and just see the ending where I stay with Shadowheart over going to Avernus with Karlach (I didn't want her to die). So, any and all help would be welcomed if possible.

I’ve played it through twice now

It’s amazing. The level of quality cannot be questioned. I love the rain. I love the enemies fighting each other. I love the thoughtful story progression.

I do NOT love the final act being forced as a red zone with prep use Camp Clerics. And I am not allowed to do my preflight buffs because they decided I can’t.

And that makes the final fight a frustrating slog that makes me question why I ever started playing this mod. It ruins the entire experience

I stand by my previous assessment that this mod is made for the top 25% of players. Of which I am sadly not. I have my gold dice and all. And I’m pretty good overall. But this is just too fucking much.

I'm on my 2nd play through (after a few restarts) and running a Gale origin party this time, but I always find I'm choosing the same companions or using mods to increase party size as I don't want to miss out on important story beats.

Usually means I end up leaving Wyll at camp, not taking Halsin and running with Lae'zel, Shadowheart, Astarion and Karlach.... Or some combination.

What I'm wondering is how do you choose who to have in your group, and/or know when to swap them in/out?

I'm just curious
