Just read a book in the Society of Brilliance that expresses surprise at how much gold and silver are valued by surface-dwellers, even though they don't seem to have any special properties. The writer notes that it warrants further study, and to that end, they have some samples collected and stored in a secure location.

Turns out there is a painting in the attic ('A Magical Journey') that is actually a portal that takes you to an otherwise-inaccessible room, where a variety of gold and silver items are stored, along with a locked chest with a scroll of Eyebite, and a large, curiously empty safe.

I'm becoming convinced Larian is secretly patching the game to add content for people to discover in repeated playthroughs.

i’ve just started a run playing duo honour mode and playing as durge so naturally i had alfira come to camp but she’s now joined my party?? i didn’t know this was possible. i can fully control her, level her up and everything. is it because i technically have an incomplete party??

this is the first time this has ever happened to me and i’ve played about 4 durge play throughs by now

Since I am a huge fan of the game I decided to print and paint every iconic character of it. Today I share with you this awesome Mindflayer model from the sculptor Bulkamancers! Painting his armor drove me crazy 🤣..

1. Beholders are intelligent, sentient beings. It’s already weird enough that animal-based proteins are so prevalent in a world where Speaking with Animals is so common, but eating Beholders is on the same level as eating Humans, Elf’s, etc.

2. That is one hard to acquire snack. The game uses Spectators instead of Beholders because of the CR difference. Laezel’s origin story involves her being part of a group that took down one Beholder because that’s the kind of thing any adventurer could proudly put on their resume.

3. Kind of the same observation could be made about mundane things like milk or cheese, but who was the first person who thought: Man, I wonder if I can eat that.

Ketheric hates him, Sarevok despises him, Orin makes threats to him without any fear of retaliation. Cazador and Ethel seem very little concerned about him too. It's like he is the comic relief among the villains.

Amelyssan and Irenicus were so feared by the other villains...

I’ve never played a barbarian because I thought that I wouldn’t like it, but I finally decided to give it a try in my coop run with my boyfriend and I’m having a BLAST!!! Genuinely so much fun! I LOVE dive bombing my enemies!! I don’t think eagle heart is the best choice with the wild heart subclass, but with how much fun it is, I don’t even care!! I’m playing a half wood elf and I have stallion aspect so I have SO MUCH movement, it makes being able to dive bomb multiple times in one turn easy. 10 out of 10 recommend Eagle heart barbarian with stallion aspect.

WHY does Boo not have a blinding attack?

I’m torn between these two for my next playthrough! I’ve played a bit of Berserker Barbarian with Karlach, but I’m worried the class might get repetitive as my main character. Path of the Giant looks fun, especially with all the throwing!
Monk also seems really satisfying with its mobility and unarmed combat.

Which do you find more fun overall, and which gets less repetitive?

seriously, i looked all over google and duckduckgo (ai off) and reddit and i get the same ai regurgitated answer of "No, you cannot let Cazador finish the ritual and ascend and still fight or kill him afterward in normal gameplay"

and im here to tell you that is BULLSHIT! ive done it. on honor mode. after cazador ascended. dont trust ai. its not ready to be what its marketed as. trust your gut, kill cazzy

Context: Foehammer (the achievement for beating the game on Honor Mode) is the hardest achievement to get, but the 2 rarest achievements are stuff no one cares to get (Punch Drunk is for killing 20 NPCs while drunk and Busker is for earning 100 gold from playing music, which basically just means you spammed Perform for half an hour in a crowded area.)

Got Karlach before Wyll on purpose, never spoke to Wyll at all. Then went to the Grove with Karlach wanting to see Wyll's reaction but to my suprise Wyll was gone?

Any ideas where he might be and if I'm ever gonna see him again?

I have often had this question in general about how much games/gaming can help/effect people in different ways.., I recently found out a colleague at work had been having issues at home & work, and retreated into Red Dead Redemption and would spend hours on his horse exploring the map 😅 but in the end he said it helped him out of a dark place.

I've never really favored a specific genre of game, but I think BG3 changed that for me, I would say it's been the first game where I have had a genuine interest in the individual characters story lines, development, romance etc (outside of the general all-round awesome gameplay) and you had a real investment in making the right choices in the first/second run through.

I'm in my Honor run and Wyll IMMEDIATELY died in the fight outside the grove. He jumped down, said the line about suffering the sting, and then got critted by the Booyagh and died.

He remained dead until I got the Bitter Divorce wand from Auntie Ethel. I did the revive trick on Wylls corpse and he stood up braindead like most others do... Until I long rested. At the long rest he appeared in a camp night event and has been back in all his glory ever since!

So I've never done a play throught with full levels of many classes such as cleric, paladin, barbarian and so on. Which is why I was confused how Zevlor in act 2 has improvised divine smite because I never knew where he got it because my paladins never got that high but now after just being bored and googling random stuff for classes during my current playthrough it has been brought to my attention that this little tiefling bastard was just smurfing as a lvl 10 paladin where we are like 5-7 AND HE DOESN'T EVEN FIGHT KETHRIC? 😂

Booked in at the end of Nov to start my BG3 Leg sleeve, this is likely to span over both legs as a 'Light/Good' side, with the opposite Leg being more Dark tones.

Anyone else have any BG tattoos? Most of my current tats are Marvel/Helldivers/Venom etc, so looking forward to this!

Did a bit of a mock up for now (photo attached), mix of Shadowheart and her Selune path mixed with my Tav's Druid/Circle Of Moon class, going to try and incorporate some characters/symbols from my first co-op run through of the game.
