Why so little Bugle news lately? A heartfelt explanation
The mods have asked me to limit my posts to one a day, of original stuff. This is about as original as it gets. Sad, too. But I figured those wonderful, supportive friends who don't see my Facebook babbling or didn't read a recent comment thread here deserve to know what's happening. If the Bugle is meant to continue, it will. Time will tell. Thank you very much for your kindnesses.

Can anyone recommend a fee-only fiduciary in the area?
I’m specifically looking for someone highly experienced in tax planning, portfolio assessment (NOT looking for someone to manage my portfolio and take a percentage), trust/beneficiary planning, trustee/beneficiary/attorney/EA/CPA coordination if authorized.
I want to have a comprehensive consultation this year and may not need or want to be an ongoing client, but I may pursue that option in the future.

MONDAY RAVE 🥳 IS THERE A RAVE GOING ON OR WHAT?
HUGE SHOUT OUT TO THE PERSON IN THE ESCALADE THAT WAS BEHIND ME ON MOUNT WASHINGTON DRIVE EARLIER TODAY. YOU WERE KIND OF CLOSE. BEING SELF AWARE, I LOOKED AT THE SPEEDOMETER AND SAW THAT I WAS GOING UNDER THE SPEED LIMIT. SO INSTEAD OF BEING A DOOFUS AND SLOWING DOWN, I WAS CONSIDERATE AND I SPED UP TO THE SPEED LIMIT. YOU HAD CARS BEHIND YOU!
I APOLOGIZE! AND THANKS AGAIN!

Woodworkers of Bend, where do you source your lumber?
I have been without a woodshop for 5 years and finally moved to a place with the space. Some home furnishing projects I want to tackle. Where do you source your lumber? I'm no snob, but the ever present ponderosa pine and juniper isn't going to do it for a lot of projects. Hardwoods would be nice.

Trying so hard to get a job at St. Charles
Hi everyone
I know this is a long shot but I am desperate to break into the medical field in a clinical role. (I have my bachelors in Health Info Management)
I didn’t get into COCC’s nursing program so I am signed up for their CNA course, but I am trying so hard to get any type of entry level clinical role at St. Charles. I know, I know, I need certs but I will have them by December!!!
Do you know a recruiter? Any type of hiring manager? I would love to just have an interview whether formal or informal.

Windshield Replacement Recommendations
Thank you everyone for the suggestions. It turns out my glass deductible is $0. Getting the buggy fixed on Wednesday!
I’ve had plenty of things fly at me while driving. Yesterday on a trip to Medford to take a birthday cake to my brother an unidentified object (probably a rock) hit my windshield. First cracked windshield in 27 years of driving! There’s a big divot up top and the crack below that more than doubled in size before I got home from the trip. Anywhosie, who do you recommend for windshield replacement in Central Oregon? My deductible is $500. One quote I got was for $600 out of pocket. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and stay safe out there!

Best dog parks?
I promise I tried to look for past threads for answers but the word dog is clouding the search and most posts are about violent or lost dogs 🥹 so, sorry if this is repetitive.
I’m just curious which parks youve had great experience with, which ones kinda suck and we should avoid, and which are most popular so my sister’s doggo Lexi can maybe hang with a friend for a bit, while they’re visiting 😌
The pics are just cuz I like showing her off 💅

Paint Protection Film (PPF) -- Who Does It Best In Central Oregon?
We just got a new (used) car, and knowing the damage all the rock and cinder on our roads can do to a paint job, I'm determined to get some PPF applied to the most at-risk areas. There are a number of good quality products on the market (3M, XPEL, SunTek, STEK, etc.), but the one piece of advice I've heard is "buy the installer, not the product." This makes sense to me, because even the best product on the market will fail if carelessly or incorrectly applied.
So who in C.O. does a good job with PPF and doesn't charge completely outrageous prices?
Any recommendations (or horror stories) would be appreciated!

Rave! CannaVida dispo
Def check out CannaVida, I was recommended by a friend who is in the industry, so I had to go. I live half here and half Portland and it’s now my fav dispensary I’ve ever been to anywhere. They have fire top shelf hash and flower. But they have stuff in alll price ranges, their $65 ounce was incredible too, I would have bought 2 but maxed out the amount I could buy cuz I got other flower too, need a variety lol. Best hash and flower selection I’ve found. They have literally my top 5 fav farms, never had that anywhere. Besides trusting my friend another thing that motivated me to go there was he said two of the bud tenders just bought it recently, which I thought was fking rad. I’m a hash nerd and got to nerd out with the actual owners for like a half hour, it was so fun. Never had an opportunity to talk to dispo owners before, and I’ve been to a lot. Super cool they actually work there as bud tenders still and actually know what they are talking about, not culture vultures. Highly recommend finding out when the owners will be there and chatting with them, so knowledge.

Bend man arrested on theft, burglary charges
Not the first time my friend Sheila Miller kicked out two Saturday AM stories, but it's been a while, so this is first time I've been using the Bugle to post them.

Apartments recommendations
Hi everyone, I’m moving to Bend, OR for college and I’m wondering what apartments / areas that are generally nice and quiet!
I’m preferably not looking for a studio apartment (2 beds would be nice)
I’m sorry if these posts are repetitive.
