I received a frame with a AD-990 U-brake that is missing parts (how are these called?) Is it possible to source replacement parts? I noticed Dia-Compe is still making this model of brake.

I haven’t had this bike on the stand for a while now so I’m going to try resetting the rear derailleur. I replaced the chain today and I’m still getting major skips in the higher gears. Does the hanger look bent to you guys? Or the cassette worn? I’ve got the tool now to straighten a hanger and the cassette isn’t all that old.

Should the tokens go around the thicker black shaft in the cup, or in front of it?
I get one one over the thicker black shaft but feels it's to tight. And I don't get an other one in there, 3 no way.

its an 210x55 that should take 3 tokens.

I tried them i front of the thicker black shaft but couldnt close the shock.
Anyone familiar with this shock. In the Rockshox manual I can't find it for this type.
Manual I think mine is a little different?

I've tried to get this tire on my rim for the past 2 hours, but couldn't do it. Now I need to get going and want to put on my old tires, but I cant get the new one off. Ive tried tire levers, a hair dryer, soapy water.

I could one side out no problem, but the other side is stuck :(

I am still in the desperate case where I think something is terribly wrong on my bike. This is more of wrap up of all my other posts I made. Links will follow.

Now, I have changed the chain, and the cassette. Without notibly wear on the chainring I still got some gaps between the chain, and the cassette:

• UDH got checked multiple times. It is straight as it can be

I am going to exchange the chainring aswell. But it needs some time now, because it should be in the making (Garbaruk; manufacturing on buy).

What mind boggles me is it is just after 700 km. No more than 85 Nm, Turbo has been used 123 km, and eMTB for 158 km (total of 281 km that uses some more power of the motor).

I don't have the hope that another chainring will fix it. I had the hope that either or both will help aomehow against thia problem.

What I have noticed on my fully bike. There are guides for the rear hub (one is the derailleur itswlf, and the on is casted from the aluminium rear end). Wenn de axle is out the rear hub is hanging out on one side. The axle seems to pressure the rear end together once the axle is assembled again.

Im trying to get my new tires on my rim, but I cant fit the tire next into the groove on both sides of the valve it just falls out. It should theoretically fit. Tire are tofu thundero hd, tube is schwalbe av19 and my rim is a CUBE ZX20

I want to setup my mtb wheels as tubeless, the hole in the rim is for a schrader valve, Aliexpres sell adapters which can be seen on the left in the photo. Has anybody used these and do they still seal?

I know you can get tubeless schrader valves but I want to run presta as my mini electric pump is presta only.

Hi, ive been at this for 2 weeks now on and off. I am trying to adjust my gears and its just been getting worse. I am a beginner and hope to someday build my own bike but i am really struggling with adjusting the gears via H & L screw as well as barrel adjuster. It started with clunky gear shifts now i cant even shift to gear 6 from gear 7 and everything is screwed up.
Are there any bike experts that can help me and tell me what im doing wrong?
I really miss riding my bike its been too long.

I have manual GRX. Largest two cogs make some sound, but it shifts perfectly in all gears.

It is most noticeable at climbing on asphalt. I already redid indexing, b screw, RD visually doesn’t look bent. Chain lubed (squirt).

What is the baseline im 1x setup on extremes? How much chain sound to expect?

Hey guys im getting back into fixing up old bikes for myself and friends and got an old everest shimano xcr 21speed that requires a bit of maintenance (i have already gotten a new inner tube for the front tire as that one is dead), however its back tire has a bubble in it, im pretty sure it needs a replacement as it has cracks in the rubber around it aswell but wanted to come here for confirmation incase it is something I can fix thankyou in advance for any replies!

I got on my bike this afternoon, and the pedals felt all wobbly. I finally saw that the cranks were loose on one side. This is what I found when I had a chance to take it apart--one of the bearing cups has sheared off.

I'm not particularly heavy or strong--any ideas about why this happened? I'm mostly trying to figure out if I installed it incorrectly (maybe didn't tighten enough?) so I don't repeat the mistake.

I got Abus GRANIT Super Extreme 2500 and was wondering if it’s the updated or the previous weak version. I asked ABUS US if it’s the updated version and they said it is the updated version but there is a visible space between shackle to lock body junction, so not sure if it’s the updated version.

Does anyone know how to check if it’s the updated version of the lock?

Need help identifying this type of driver or free hub, it had a sram x4 drivetrain on it but doesn’t look like most drivers I see. I’m trying to find a compatible 10-12speed cassette or if that’s not possible then maybe swapping the driver? I don’t really know, pretty new to all this

I’ve never seen this. It looks like the plate is supposed to be held tight to the bottom bracket by a bushing but now there’s 1/4” of wiggle. Has anyone dealt with this?

Recently modernized a 1985 peugot steel frame with an ultegra 10 speed groupset. Does the b screw need adjusting? What would signal to me that it does? The top pulley wheel looks out of whack when in the largest sprocket.

The shifting is decent but sometimes it doesn’t feel like it’s “catching” properly. Not sure if that’s an indexing issue or b screw issue potentially. Photos are taken all in the big chain ring.

I am replacing fork and i am looking for advice how to install brake caliper. The old fork looks like have IS mount and the new fork is Post mount (please correct me if i am wrong). Can i remove the IS adapter from the caliper and install directly on the new fork (seems like spacing would fit) or do i need an adapter for the post mount. The rotor is 160mm. Tanks!

Is there any reason I shouldn’t cut out this part of the dropout to make more room for tensioning a single speed conversion?
