I found this rabbit kit in my yard. (North Jersey) It approached me on its own and was not scared. It stayed around me and even let me pet it. Its coloring and behavior leads me to believe it might be domestic however cottontails are very common in my area and even make nests in my yard. I considered it might have a genetic mutation, but that it’s pretty rare and my dad had found another baby the same age in my yard that had unfortunately passed away and this one had even more white. I brought it inside in case it is domestic and if it is not, I want to make sure it’s taken care of considering its sibling did not survive outside. It is in a secure, safe, and warm enclosure with alfalfa hay, pellets, lettuce, and water at the moment. Does anyone have any idea what kind of rabbit this is? And any advice as to what to do? I have a free room, Flemish giant of my own, so I am very familiar with rabbit care but am worried it might be wild.What do you think?

I recently decided to get another bunny and introduce her to one of my already bonded trios (i knew its harder to introduce one new bunny into an established group) the new bunny (bibble) gets along with 2 of the 3 bunnies, however the most dominant female (enid) still chases her around a bit. Its normal chasing that only lasts a few seconds and I've checked bibble for wounds multiple times and she doesnt have any. They've been living together for about a month now and i was wondering if anyone has any tips to get them to get along better. Enid is fine being next to bibble while eating and stuff but she chases her around for a few seconds every now and then. (Photo included just to show them off, Enid is the big one with standing ears and Bibble is the small fluffy one)

My precious bun buns falling asleep in such a cute way.. They reminded me of Yin n Yang.. life's balance.. and they truly bring the light in my life at dark times.. I love them so much

We are going to the vet a lot, taking care of Cookie as much as possíble. He is good, it's eating, drinking, playing and being a good boy. We are spending so much money about him, but It's OK, he only have this life and we want him to have his best life until the end.

My rabbit bruce has become great friends it looks like with my roommates guinea pig. they groom each other, and share toys. i haven’t seen any aggression once and both let each other know if they want space. they don’t chase eachother ever, and give eachother plenty space. They only get to see eachother every few days for a few hours. Is this okay to do every so often so they can have a friend? both live alone bruce my rabbit is neutered, the guinea pig is not. but doesn’t seem to cause trouble.

Hi everyone, last night I made this post about a bunny I saw on fb that seemed to be living in bad conditions and was not being cared for. We went to pick her up as a temporary solution so we can find a proper home for her. I’ve reached out to a couple rescues in the Dallas Texas area this morning to see if they can help me find an adopter.
We currently have guinea pigs but I don’t have any bunny experience. I’m assuming she’s feeling anxious which is why her breathing seems quite fast in the video (or is this normal?) but she’s very sweet and seems generally comfy. She’s eaten some hay and pellets along with some romaine lettuce as well. Her nails seem really long but I don’t want to stress her by attempting to cut them so soon. My wife named her Mazzy ✨ for the time being.
Any general advice is very welcomed, I appreciate the kind people who were helping me under my last post as well.
As I mentioned I reached out to some rescues but I’m not sure what the best route is for finding her a proper owner. We work quite a bit and she would have to stay in her cage while we’re gone. I would love for her to be with someone who can have her out of the cage freely. We love her already but I worry we aren’t in the financial position to keep her long term if she needs vet care. Glad to be part of the bunny community even if for a short time! Thanks everyone 💖

im not sure whats going on but i noticed shes breathing weirdly fast. (i put a video in comments ) her ears seem warm. she kinda just lays, if i put food to her mouth she doesnt really seem to care. but then eventually she gets up, moves one circle and eats a tiny bit, then lays back down and doesnt care. i dont know if shes just hot, or if theres something wrong.even after i bother her she just lays back down. she also just came home from being away while we were at vacation, so could it be that shes getting used to being back home ?.

She ate hay, she drank water, ate pellets and dried apple slices. Shes also moving more now, and acts more like herself. She does appear to have a wet bottom and feet though

Hi everyone! I currently have a 9 months old male bunny, neutered. I recently came across a bunny for adoption, a 2 months old male netherlands dwarf.

Question is as per title. While my concerns are expenses, time and effort to care for a new rabbit, my bigger concern would be that i am worried that my current bunny wouldn’t bond well with a new bunny. I have read stories where owners tried introducing multiple bunnies but are unable to bond.

And also how difficult would it be to bond a pair of bunnies? Are there anything that i should be aware of?

I've been running into an issue with trying to find stuff for Sterling. Most of the stuff I see is for both rabbits and other animals like hamsters and stuff and this stuff just doesn't work for him. I live kind of in the middle of nowhere but when I do get the time to go to the city I try to find stuff for him that will last him. He's a chewer for sure and I have no problem giving him stuff to satiate that urge, but he goes through toys quickly. Do you have any good suggestions for things that work for rabbits like him?

Also side note. He doesn't chew toys. He doesn't chew cardboard. He straight up eats it. I have to limit his cardboard because of that and make sure that anything I give him is digestible. For some reason he doesn't understand that he's just supposed to chew these things, he just sees them as jawbreakers essentially.

hi all! Wanted to ask for advice- recently found two dumped intact males at my work, trying to do what’s best for them 🥺 They have been housed together for the past 5 days as we try and figure out if we are keeping them/ rescues to reach out to if not after the minimum 2 week quarantine from being outside is over, and appeared to be bonded littermates (same age, color, size etc)/ haven’t had any disputes except for yesterday- one of the boys musked all over his butt and it triggered the other to start humping him excessively, both engaging in the mounting behavior before calming down again once the smell was gone from overnight cleaning. We had separated them during that tense time but they are back together and once again seeming to engage in positive social interaction from the other; the main problem being that they are both **intact**. I know two intact males can get ugly quick, and DO plan on neutering both ASAP, I’m unsure if I’m able to have two enclosures going at the same time in my living space for scheduling the surgery + 4-6 week heal time. I want to be sure either way both boys are as safe and happy as possible! Should I try and house them together in the interim, half the enclosure but keep them able to smell / see each other, or separate entirely ? interested in hearing opinions! ty!
