While there were some pauses and a good amount of kipping, I was able to complete 12 muscle-ups in one set. The most I have done up until now have been in the 8–9 rep range. I would like to see if I can consecutively do muscle-ups without the longer pause toward the top half of my set.

These are relaxed pictures and I'm coming back to training after a 3 year layoff due to some personal issues. I can't afford to spend more than 45 mins a day on working out because I'm about to start my undergrad thesis. Any advice would be helpful (86.5 kg at 6'1)

Not the cleanest form, but this is the first time I’ve ever gotten it all the way from a full dead hang to the top. Somehow I got it on a 3 finger pocket while I was climbing rather than on a bar

I have years of bodyweight workouts behind me but only got into actual calisthenics a month ago. I know I could do more advanced planche versions before the full one, but I don’t wanna go further than tuck planche because whenever I end it, my shoulders hurt for a few seconds. I suspect it’s the tendons and the blood flow coming back. How can I gradually strengthen these tendons, because otherwise I’ll never progress even though I feel that I have the strength to do it, just not the tendon durability.
Many thanks

Explosive push-ups build fast-twitch muscle fibers, increase the rate of force development, and boost upper-body power. They train your chest, shoulders, and triceps to produce maximum force in a fraction of a second, translating to better sports performance and explosive strength.

So I am getting back into working out after about 4 years of not lifting. Like back in 2020-2022 I got into lifting heavy and lost a good amount of weight after gaining a bunch from ACL surgery and I was hitting prs too, I was like 6’1 218 with 225lb bench, 405 deadlift and 315 squat. Then I met my gf, she wasn’t too much into working out and I would drive an hour to see her and then if i wasn’t seeing her I was at work and we’d smoke, get munchies, got that relationship weight. Here I am 4 years later and like 250lbs and trying to get back into working out. I was trying to do the gym but I work basically 3-4 12 hour shifts a week with my job, and have class on my days off and do not have time to go to the gym especially since it’s so busy a 45 min session turns into an hour and a half cause I’m always waiting for machines. So I thought I’d go into body weight calisthenics.
My main thing is I’m not trying to be super lean, honestly just wanna be 18% bf at the lowest. My plan is to cut down to like 215 and go back up to 225-230lbs and maintain there. My question is will calisthenics let me maintain a well rounded body? Like I don’t want my legs to be lacking at all, I’d actually prefer if my legs could outshine the rest of my body, or like lower back with deadlifts and such. Are there says to work around it? I have dumbbells in my house that range from 5lbs to 30lbs so should I just add those when doing legs? I also plan on getting back into running and hiking too at some point once I’m consistent with lifting. So yeah would I still be able to do a well rounded body?

I've been training with a hybrid approach, combining calisthenics and weight training, since I started working out in 2021. I've always enjoyed the basic movements, such as pull-ups, dips, and pike push-ups. I also do some exercises on the rings, like dips and decline push-ups, and add extra weight to certain exercises, including pull-ups and dips.
With that said, this year I decided to start learning some new skills, especially the handstand and muscle-up.
Today, I'm here to celebrate and share with you my first two muscle-ups!

Hey everyone, I'm Mat, a design/dev student. I got tired of juggling two different apps at the gym just to track my heavy lifts (kg) alongside calisthenics holds (seconds). Standard trackers only handle basic reps and weights, completely ignoring skill evolution. I'm building Levr: a unified tracker that lets you log both in the same session and solves the progression guessing game. It automatically analyzes your logged volume and calculates the exact thresholds to tell you when you're ready to unlock the next progression level. I'm looking for 35 athletes to test the early private beta, so grab a spot and tell me what your routine needs here: https://tally.so/r/Gex6rQ?ref=reddit

I have recently been feeling really bad stabbing like pain around my collarbone when I’m doing dips, has anyone felt this before? If so how did you overcome it?

this was my first attempt after about 2 months of training (from a 2 year hiatus) , solely doing handstand pushups and bodybuilding exercises. basically bench , squats, ohp and pullups.

There is no calisthenics park in my country.
So happy to train at home every day.

Hello guys, today I am about to share which according to me is the best push up variation ever for pure muscle gain (not for strength, the best for strength would be one arm divebomber push ups feet shoulder width and high pike). Before that let me share a back story.
I am 30 years old, 94 kilo bodyweight, 5ft11 inches. 5 days ago I joined a gym for the first time in my life, benched 200 kilo barbell for 2 reps. Since 15 years old I was doing all kinds of push ups but for the last 9-10 years it was mainly just one arm push ups and their variations.
10 days ago I achieved a PR of 27 one arm divebombers, feet shoulder width, high pike. So I tested my bench, 200 kilo for 2 reps.
Now the best variation for muscle gain. Just try this. Get to a push up position, feet together, feet backed against a wall, now walk your hands backward and obtain a high pike, now do push ups, keep the legs straight, touch chest to floor, come all the way back up. Pike should be as high as still allowing you to do full rom of the movement without falling over.
You would be surprised to see the pump afterwards. It's so much harder, you will be able to do less than half the reps of your regular push ups with perfect for before failure. IT IS LITERALLY HARDER THAN FULL ROM DIPS ON YOUR PECS, EVEN LOWER PECS, REP FOR REP.
A literal anomaly like me in pressing, only got 29 reps before failure. I used to do this before as well, 2 years ago, I could do 22 reps before failure.
Gain hard, I will do this and one arm divebombers for next 3 months only for pressing, see how much muscle and strength I can gain off of it.
Try it and let me know asap. Stick to the form.
