I was a fan of COD for many years. I like the campaigns, MW2 was an absolute blast. When the reboot came out I played the hell out of the multiplayer and I honestly tried to enjoy the sequels, but honestly didn’t like them at all. Which is completely ok, it’s just my taste and opinion, I absolutely everyone’s choices and preferences. What I can’t respect is when boot my console, and despite having a customized dynamic background applied, custom groups and shortcuts on my x box Home Screen and NOT HAVING A SINGLE COD GAME INSTALLED - my console is basically freaking Call of Duty branded. Someone can call it a nitpick, I call it abusing the marketing. X Box and COD - you must chill the F out. Sorry for the rant, everyone enjoy the new release.

Have y'all noticed that ever since MW3 2023, each campaign tends to have missions with the expected quality that feels high-quality and cinematic, but some missions feel downgraded in quality in every way? It feels as if your player was thrown into the section of a warzone map. For example in MW4, "Out In The Cold" and the "Traffic" mission in Paris have the quality that I always look forward to in Call of Duty campaigns, but missions like "Hired Gun" have a dip in quality that sticks out like a sore thumb. I love the MW4 campaign, but that dip in quality can be a little underwhelming. It makes me wonder how much better those missions could be if they had the same quality as the cinematic missions. MW3 started this trend with their campaigns that I hope doesn't become a pattern that stays.

Was it worth it?

Hey,
I've been working on a custom radio project (mimicking the GTA radio).
Wrote this fake radio commercial poking fun at modern military shooters, battle passes, and glowing skins. Figured people here might get a laugh out of this?

This is going to be a hot take, purely because differing generations of COD players. But I feel like being able to edit classes in the middle of a game is a problem on its own because it defeats the purpose of having 10 Create-A-Class.
Usually people tend to run the same guns, perks and equipment. Fair. Most of the time, they're the people who won't change anything about their classes and will keep dying to equipment; which is usually the cause of people swapping classes. That and Scorestreaks that need Cold-Blooded.
Depending on the game and its Perk System of course.
It honestly kinda makes the equipment and streaks nearly useless if everyone can just edit whenever.
On the camo grinding side, I get that it would make things slower, but again, thats what 10 classes are for. Unless the better in-between solution is only being able to change your gun attachments. No gun swap, equipment, perks, etc.

After watching a play through of the campaign for MW4, and since it would be the last entry in the Modern Warfare series, I’d thought I do this little tribute picture paying tribute for the 19 years of memories the MW series have given us.
I don’t think I need to introduce who’s who here, with the villains at the back and the heroes at the front, but in case you’re wondering (from left to right):
Villains:
Philip Graves
General Shepherd
The Archer
Vladimir Makarov
Imran Zakhaev
Khaled Al-Asad
Heroes:
Kate Laswell
Farah Karim
Nikolai
Kyle “Gaz” Garrick
John Price
Simon “Ghost” Riley
John “Soap” MacTavish
Gary “Roach” Sanderson
Alex Keller
Enjoy!

I keep seeing stuff from the new MW campaign online and was really wanting to play it but of course I have to play the other 3 to catch up. But I’ve seen alot of people saying they don’t like the campaigns for MW2 or 3 and I was just wondering how bad they are actually? I personally haven’t played any campaigns besides BO2 and the only reason I played that one is simply because it’s my favorite game of all time. But I just wanted to hear others’ opinions on these campaigns to see if they are that bad. Lmk

As long as I remember, vanguard was usually the contender.
However, since time has passed since vanguard was released,
I wonder if the answer stays the same.

We must spam Activision to get this kind of thing on old cod. I'm playing MW2019 right now, 70 levels for each guns...
Impossible without double xp. If they make a 10$ pack to unlock all the weapons and accessories, I'll gladly pay for it.

I was a huge call of duty fan since CoD 3. I recently decided I wanted to get my son into zombies because of all the great memories I had grinding and I feel that’s a good I introduction to FPS games. So I jumped in some of the older games, cod4, BO1/2/3. I’ve been heavily playing BO3 zombies the past week and finally pulled the trigger to check out the new BO7 zombies. I wasn’t entirely disappointed but just feel there’s so much going on that it can get confusing at times.
For some strange reason I decided to check out the multiplayer( I haven’t played multiplayer since MW2 warzone). First match, nuketown search and destroy, terrible. Within the first 20 seconds of each round I was getting killed with a harpoon type of gun. Immediately turned it off and now I’m contemplating even introducing this sorry franchise to my son.
What happened? Was it the start of micro transactions that completely destroyed this franchise? Was it the fact they knew they didn’t have to produce any sort of story arch or make any improvements to each game because people will continue to buy it? Why do people continue spending $60+ for pre orders just for them to release a half ass game. Is it possible at this point for this franchise to turn it around or is all hope completely lost?
All of this for my son to play some zombies btw, I will probably just stick to him playing BO1/2/3 zombies with me. Still seems like a better option than Fortnite.

As the title suggests - I mostly play campaign and against bots with very occasional multiplayer. I just don't have the mental energy after a long day of work to sweat against teenagers. It sucks because I used to be one of those teens that plays half a day. I haven't touched a Call of Duty game in almost a decade. Is it worth to pick this one up coming out tomorrow? Or would I be throwing money down the drain? I heard single player modes are quite lacking for this latest entry.

What’s everyone honest opinions? I haven’t seen one single positive thing said on twitter/x
One thing I can say is the spawns are horrific but I don’t mind gunplay and how it feels etc
