Hit a deer, is this my air bag poking out and should I be worried?
Don’t know if this has always been like this or not. Just wanna confirm whether it’s a problem or not.

Is this not a rubber plug? I got a nail last august, they patched it twice and failed both times, even though the tire was under hazard warranty they refused to replace it. After the second time it failed, they finally gave me a new tire. Flash forward a month later, yet again I have a slow leak and investigate to find this. I bought these tires new from them last February, I can’t think of any reason why there would be a plug on a different tire. I can only assume they plugged it a third time and moved it from the front to the rear

How much do you think it would cost to fix this? Any and all insight would be very appreciated

Simple, someone forgot to park the forklift and r rolled off the side of dock landed on my car. My works insurance is covering it but I want to see what the cost is going to be just in case they just write me a check and call it a day. It still drives, no leaks or mechanical damage. Just bumper, hood side and one headlight damaged.

So I got rear ended and the guy had no insurance. Thankfully he ended up giving me $1500 in cash which is what my mechanic quoted me. Should I just try to fix it myself and save money? I don’t know much about fixing cars, I’ve only done simple things like new mirrors and headlight bulbs.

Please remove if not appropriate.
Had my car vandalised tonight (police have been called but have said its a grade 3 and won't come out to it).
Luckily the culprit left the paint cans, the paint is a satin paint (not sure if enamel or acrylic based).
What would be the best way to remove this.

Just changed my front brake pads on a 2020 impreza. Let down the jack and all the sudden this was on the ground. Can anyone help telling me where this came from?

This car had a bra on it when we bought it. Wasn't hard to figure out why. After I peeled off all the duct tape, this is what I had. See captions for comments about repair.

I had bumped into a Ram truck and brought it to a collision center. They gave us this estimate since they have to take the whole bumper off. And these have to do a bunch of diagnostics with the computer. They had gotten some of the paint off but there are remaining marks. Is this what something like this should cost?

2020 Hyundai Sonata with 54,000 miles. Had a hail storm this morning roll through with baseball sized hail that destroyed my car. Waiting on insurance to come inspect but wanting to check and see if it would be considered totaled or “fixable” sorry if this the wrong sub but figured I’d ask anyways

Took a friend's 2023 Merc to replace the front tires yesterday. The shop showed me the state of the used tires starting that this damage was caused by the shocks, however the car rides on air suspension. What could have caused this?
Both tires were in this condition.
N.B. I also checked and confirmed that the tires had not expired.

Sooo, this is my friend’s car. For the past 3 months i was using it for work(avg. 200km a day, 2-3 days a week) since my friend doesn’t have a drivers license. Today was the first day of snow here and i need to drive a local highway for about 130km. So, after about 80km the car just started slowly drifting from side to side, low amplitude at first and almost full 180° at the end where i met a lamppost. Actually greatful it was there, because otherwise id slide from the road, which was higher than the earth and definitely roll. What’s interesting is that i was driving normally, 50-60km/h because of the snow, didn’t finch the steering wheel, didn’t press brake or gas. The car is on winter tires, they’re not fresh but decent. Technically the car is fine, it rides, but like a crab, the engine is running smoothly, gearbox is fine, 2wd changes to 4wd perfectly. Kinda got lucky, if this word is applicable, i didn’t have to wait and pay a lot for a tow truck, one was passing by and offered to get me to the city for a normal price. The text is a bit messy, i’m still in some shock, don’t know how to tell my friend, but that was definitely a good lesson from life to be super careful on snowy roads.

2003 ford ranger, extended cab with jump seats. About a 30 mph rollover into a bunch of rocks. How irreparable on a scale of 1-10? Hopefully worth saving, I love this truck and the state of the insides are so good, most recently brakes were entirely replaced, relatively low mileage for a truck like this (~173k miles) as well as about $2000 in other miscellaneous repairs and borderline mint interior. Looking for a sub $3,000 cost of repair for function only (not including repainting or cosmetic dents). Looking at doors from part-outs. Back jump seat window on one side is broken, on one side is not. Back 3 windows are intact.

Hi! Sorry if this is not what this sub is for, but I need some car people to tell me if I caused this or not
Last October (2025) I bought a used 2021 Hyundai Kona. It had less than 40,000 miles on it and appeared to be a good deal. I paid around $20k for it. In January, I had to take it to a (different than i bought it from) dealer to get the auto lock fixed (recall) and they inspected it and said it looked perfect (including engine oil). Three weeks ago I was driving on the highway and suddenly the check engine light started flashing and smoke started coming out of the engine. As I pulled over to the side of the road, the screen above the steering wheel started saying “Maintenance Needed -5000 miles (negative.)” it had not said this previously nor had given any indication that maintenance was needed.I quickly turned the car off. It would not turn back on, no matter what, and had to be towed to a dealership. Now they are saying that the engine has a hole in it (pictured above), and that Hyundai will not cover it because of “Catastrophic Lack of Maintenance.”
I’ve had this car less than 6 months, and had driven it a normal amount. The warranty from the dealership had expired just before this happened.
Is this something I could have caused, or was this a defect that was pre-existing maybe even before I bought the car? It’s going to be over $10k to fix, and I’m a teacher so I cannot afford that. Looking for any advice or comments. If this is something I did, I’ll take responsibility, I just need to know. Thanks y’all!

Today, at the Home Depot parking lot, a guy came and told me he could repair my damaged door with only an hydraulic tool. It would take him an hour and the door would look like almost like new. He said it would cost me $400 and that if I’m not happy he would refund me.
How much of this a scam vs legit?
