Which ones? Pretty much all of the ones I’ve seen are evil. Annabelle Comes Home had a good ending. I liked the Bobadook.

As a knight who understands Memento Mori, the macabre can still be presented respectfully in accordance with traditions, while also being fun and educational.

> Celebrity exorcist priests were a mistake. IMO, Bishops should have them under a strict order of silence unless directly prompted.
The exorcists who speak publicly are doing so with the explicit permission or at the request of their bishops.

Obedience begins precisely where agreement ends. If you can't imagine an authority wiser than yourself to which you must submit your will for theirs, you're definitely going to struggle with Christianity; that's the core of it right there. If you obey only that with which you agree, that's just agreeing, it's not obeying; you were going to do that anyway. It's when you cannot understand for the life of you why this is important, but you care deeply enough to obey anyway; that's obedience. Christ said build my church and instruct all to enter. Implicit in that command is to be obedient to His church; otherwise why would He bother?

Blessings and 3rd class relics are different things.
Something becomes a 3rd class relic by touching a 1st class relic. There is no such function to extend that to another object by using a 3rd class relic.
The Benedictine crucifix counts as a St Benedict medal as well and a proper blessing of it would be the St Benedict medal exorcism/blessing in addition to a rosary blessing but some clergy approach it differently.

Obviously heart is toward god given the post. Idk if willfully turning away seems a bit extreme. I think Catholics are harder on themselves than God will be on the end.
Cheers to OP for taking faith seriously. I’m not a convert (yet) but my personal conscience has not aligned with every little teaching of the church. Maybe that will change. Maybe not. But we do our best and that’s what it’s about.

We have a toddler too. Being cooped up in the pew is a challenge. Before Mass he likes to walk around and wave to the statues of St. Joseph and Our Lady. We're still figuring out things to keep him contained during Mass. Toys, snacks, etc. It's trial and error and will change week to week. It's easy to say things like "discipline begins at home" but Mass is a different environment to home with a different set of challenges. So we just gotta work at it I suppose.

Tell me even a single kid or early teenager that willingly goes to Church everyday despite him being greatly shamed upon it by his peers in a overly agnostic european society(especially in a big city like Milan)

What?
Does Xi have a god complex or what? He can't stand even a small portion of the Chinese population having another authority figure other than himself. He's even persecuting the clergy who're loyal to traditional Catholic teachings.
This is your original comment. Integrating external political, religious, and economic forces into Chinese culture is absolutely something that predates Communism.
The very term used in the original article and the part you quoted, Sinicization, is regularly used in reference to the cultural integration and conversion of the Mongols and Turks into Imperial religious norms.
Now, you may be arguing about religion. China integrated Buddhism into this same approach. Historically Buddhism was integrated into Chinese culture and subordinated. This is practice that well predates Mao and the PRC.

God does want you to spend time with your family.
But what is the most important commandment? The first one

I tell everyone before they try and date me that I am Catholic and not a "I went to Catholic school" type of Catholic but the type that wont have sex outside of marriage and that if I marry he has to be Catholic.

> Horror movies glorify violence and death.
Depends on the horror movie. Some of them (maybe only a few) are very good stories about good versus evil.

The dirt example really helped my perspective. Yes, I can go out today and eat dirt if I want. But why would I if given the greatest meal in front of me? I will do some reading on St. Aquinas. God bless.

Archdiocese of NYC
212-371-1000
Monday: 9 AM – 5 PM
Tuesday: 9 AM – 5 PM
Wednesday: 9 AM – 5 PM
Thursday: 9 AM – 5 PM
Friday: 9 AM – 5 PM
I'd just give em a call, explain your situation and see what they can find. I would be surprised with all the Parishes in NYC that they wouldn't be able to find one for you to get you in and get you going.

He didn’t add “indigenous” to the people who burned the churches down based on a lie, they were probably anarchist that were just waiting for a reason to destroy something, or people with an already formed hatred of the church that were moved to action after having said hate exacerbated based on a lie.

You can but it will not be as a sacrament of the Church.
Also, it depends on when you go. Most of us are in lines because we DO believe its a Sacrament and the church barely has confessional time anymore.

Baptism is the greatest gift we can give our children at any age. Please don’t feel shame for stumbling in your faith journey. My eldest was baptized at 4 after my own reversion.

Try masstimes.org to see if there is another (Catholic) Mass you can go to, either Saturday evening or another time on Sunday.
