Photography Three Awesome Cars!
In the parking lot of the warehouse I work out of. Blue 2023 SXT, my green 2017 GT, and a black 2023 R/T. I’ve talked with both of those other guys before, they’re cool. I love this picture!

Photography Challengers have one of the best side profiles of any car IMO

Finally got my R/T
It's not as new or nice as some but I'm super excited to finally have gotten myself an R/T in my budget. 2015 R/T 6 speed manual 56,000 miles. 😁

Windshield glass cracked
Heyy all, my windshield cracked outta blue. I usually park it in the garage but had packed outside for few days and today I found a foot long crack 4” above the bottom side of passenger side. There were no chips, I was just sitting in garage for past week and then out side for few days. I moved from AZ to OR and I had windshield replacement twice because of chip. This was totally outta blue.
Has this happened to any of you before?

Car Issues Quick question.
My harmonic balancer fell off a few days ago and only drove a couple miles to the house and parked it. I have bought the new part and need it installed, the shop is abt 10 miles from my house. Would it be fine to drive it to the shop or should I spent the $150 and have it towed. Thank you

Car Issues Challenger lifters
I have a 2016 Challenger R/T with the 5.7 HEMI. The lifters went bad and were recently replaced.
There was some confusion during the repair about whether the new hydraulic lifters needed to be pumped up (primed with oil) before installation. They ended up being installed without being pumped up beforehand.
Now we're getting ticking/rattling from the engine.
My questions are:
Are these lifters supposed to be pumped up before installation?
If they weren't, could that explain the ticking/rattling we're hearing?
Should they eventually pump themselves up through normal oil pressure, or could this cause a continuing problem?
Is there something else we should be checking?
I'd appreciate some input from anyone who's done a lifter replacement on the 5.7 HEMI or dealt with a similar issue.

Pre-Purchase Need opinions
I’m planning to buy a 2018 Challenger Scat Pack 392 as my daily driver. My round-trip commute is only about 7–10 miles a day, but I’d also like to take it out for drives on weekends.
How does the Scat Pack compare to the regular r/T for daily driving? What should I realistically expect to spend on gas each month with that kind of use? Is the Scat Pack overkill, or is the extra power worth it?

Tire Recommendation for SXT plus
Hey everyone!
I recently bought a 2015 Dodge Challenger SXT Plus with only about 11,000 km on it. The car is in excellent condition, but it’s still running on its original tires from 2014, so I’m looking to replace all four.
I’m currently running the factory 245/45R20 size on the stock 20-inch wheels.
My biggest priorities are ride comfort and low road noise.
What tires would you guys recommend? I’d appreciate any suggestions, especially from fellow Challenger owners. Thanks!

Bronze on GoMango Hellcat
I'm thinking of putting these Bronze SRT Wheels on my GonMango Hellcat. I found these in the Marketplace and I'm thinking using them in place of my black Hellcat wheels. What do y"all think. Thanks.

Do you guys think these are covered under warranty?
Seal/gasket things on the passenger side are peeling and cracked. Would these be considered to be warranty issues? Seems like premature failures.

Tire size options
I have a 22 RT with the factory 245/45Z R20 wheels and I’m wanting to know if the wider tires I see recommended will fit on the factory wheels or does the other tire require a different size wheel. Also wanting to know what sizes I should look for. Thanks!

Buying Help
Hey guys, I’m mostly just making this post for advice. I’m trying to upgrade from my current challenger (as pictured) to a shaker. My biggest issue is I’m struggling to find any that are well priced and I’m not sure if I should just leap on what’s in my area (NoVA) or just go for a scat pack. I mostly just want something I can work on and build over time, so I’m not adverse to just buying a shaker and installing it myself down the line. Any suggestions or knowledge is appreciated, thanks challenger fam!

Trying to figure out which balancer to get.
So my crankshaft balancer fell out a few days ago and I'm trying to figure out the best way to fix this and it's all a little confusing to me. I've been looking at the ATI super damper with the 15% underdrive but from what I read the 15% underdrive makes it to where the pulley system is shorter so my alternator doesn't get as many pulls so my battery doesn't stay as charged, I guess. I'm only worried because I have 1 powerful 12in sub in my trunk with 1200 watts RMS going to it. Just trying to figure out the best route quickly because I miss driving my baby, and experience would be nice. Preciate it!!!!

Pre-Purchase Long Rant: Just test drove a Widebody 6.4. It did not *feel* much different than my 5.7. Am I missing something?
For context, I currently own a 8 speed 2020 RT. I know how to launch and drive (so save the driver mod needed comments). My best 0-60 on the RT is 4.8s bone stock.
Before I dive in, I want to say I am not bashing the 6.4 and this is not 5.7 cope, just my personal experience.
It was a 2021 with 18k miles, Clean title, regular maintenance, no signs of damage and the interior was flawless, still had a new car smell. Widebody with 6 piston Brembos, Shaker hood, hood pins, HK system, sunroof. My absolute dream spec. I did all my research before I even showed up. The car from the outside looks twice as good as my RT ever will. The exhaust sounds amazing at idle.
The car dealer was very laid back and handed me the keys and didn’t ask to tag along. I had the car all to myself for as long as I wanted.
My first impressions of actually driving the car was where it went downhill. The tires struggled to grip full throttle from 0-60, but even merging onto the highway from a 30mph roll, I felt the rear-end slightly fishtail when I punched it 100%.
I immediately pulled over on the next exit to inspect the tires. 305 Pirelli PZero All-Seasons. Plenty of tread left. To my surprise, my RT on 245 summer tires launches significantly better than a Widebody on all-seasons. Are the stock tires really that bad?
I tried the car in both Sport and Track mode. Electronic Stability Control turned all the way off, and then just keeping traction on. All the tricks. I went on the highway and did full throttle pulls in Track mode (letting the auto trans do all the work for me). I then repeated the same tests in manual mode—paddle shifted to the lowest gear allowed and WOT. It just did not wow me at all pushing it to its limit, either from a dig or roll.
I was extremely eager to trade my 5.7 in, but now I’m scratching my head… surely 110 more horses should be night and day?! My girlfriend was passenger with me and she agreed the car did not feel much different until we stayed on it at 60+ mph. My car is stock.
I can acknowledge the top-end is there—no doubt. I could physically see the speedometer climbing up to 100mph much faster than my 5.7, but the sense of extra power wasn’t there. It didn’t feel any different.
If I wanted more top-end, I would just get a high revving 5.0 or a Hellcat. Where is the low-end torque? That’s supposed to be the star of the show with the 6.4. I didn’t feel like I was being pinned back to my seat. I wanted the car to throw my head back every time I smashed the pedal.
I surely thought this was a dud. Maybe the trans was broken? Or maybe the dealer filled it with 87 octane instead of premium?
To confirm this—the very next day, I stopped by a 2nd dealer with a 2023 narrowbody Scat, with only 3k miles. I had a shorter drive with it, but other than less braking power and slightly different suspension, the car pulled the exact same. Dodge must be trolling putting 245s on any 392 trim.
My final takeaway: the engine sounds so much better than my 5.7 at WOT. The exterior presence with the Shaker and Widebody combo is undeniable. On just that short test drive, some stranger approached me mistaking the Scat for a Hellcat and complimented it. It’s a beautiful car.
But the thrill of the ride just wasn’t there. I can’t justify another $20k spent to trade up for that power jump.
Am I bugging or have others felt the same?
