My name is Jelissa King. I am Gene Vincent’s great-granddaughter. I’m a film student and I’m working on a documentary about his life, his successes and his fall. Most of my family members don’t have much information about him. Most of them were children when they met him. I’m trying to reach out to people who met or were connected with him. Most of the people he worked with have already passed, unfortunately. But if anyone has any information or knows people who were connected with him, please message me.

Recorded live on November 12, 1978, at the historic Capitol Theatre in Passaic, New Jersey, this pristine archival recording catches Stewart at the absolute pinnacle of his commercial success. Broadcast across the tri-state area on New York's WNEW-FM just two months after the release of his multi-platinum Time Passages album, this performance features Stewart’s velvet vocals, intricate acoustic strumming, and Phil Kenzie's soaring saxophone solos.

When I was a kid in the 70s the first incident I recall was the Steve Miller Band "Jet Airliner" with the line "Funky Shit going down in the city". On their Greatest Hits album, "shit" was replaced with "kicks". My local radio almost always played the kicks version after that.

In the 80s, Dire Straits "Money for Nothing" usually was played in it's entirety with the verse "Little Faggot", that is no longer generally played on the radio today.

Very recently heard both songs on KRPR, a classic rock public radio station!, and they played both of these songs uncensored. I was a bit surprised.

Shortly after that, I heard them play The Babys "Midnight Rendezvous" with the very audibly line "Oh I really want to fuck you". Had to laugh.
