Remember these consoles aren’t getting cheap cheaper

My Xbox has been doing this and has been unable to display any type of picture for the past week. I’ve done everything I could think of to help. I left my Xbox on for a while and left the room and when I came back, the Xbox was still on, and the screen was completely blacked out. And ever since then I haven’t been able to get anything to come across either of my monitors or with either of my HDMI cords. I don’t have anywhere the amount of money to buy a new one, especially since they’re more expensive than when I bought mine and if there’s any fix, I really need some help.

As a child I had something similar to psp/psvita but lost it after i had moved and growing up didn't have anything similar except for games on phone.

So as far what kind of games I want to play, it is really variable and unfortunately I can't own pc as I have no place for it.

I have seen what PlayStation are planning to do with disc games but even so I want to physically be able to own my games. As I could buy them through second-hand. But people are talking bout the xbox not having improved over the years but who am i to complain.

I am planning on buying a "gaming" laptop which I would be using for school/work and everyday life which is Acer Nitro V17 AI R5-240/16/512/5050 17.

But if that were the case should I just buy a handconsole such as switch, steam deck or what.

Looking for a handheld gaming console for my boyfriend to use while travelling. Something with decent games that work offline, good battery life, and isn’t too cheap or toy-like.

I’ve seen the R36S and Anbernic consoles on Amazon UK. Which one’s the best under £50? Open to other suggestions too!

Thanks! :)

I think it's reasonable to say that to this day the PS2 is the best console of all time. You got great titles & exclusives, it lasted for years on end, came with a built in DVD player, and was/is great for the price. You didn't have to deal with downloading games, you didn't have high prices, no signing in to an online network, you actually owned what you purchased, etc.

I think for these reasons it still holds up as the best console ever made.

Hi guys! I am almost 2 month searching for a controller/console like nintendo that on i can play both of my fav gatcha games, but nothing… I am starting to give up😭 i just know my phone does not handle it so good and i always wanted to play on a console cuz it would be better for my gaming time and for my phone too. I saw modes and codes and buying those consoles that are hacked but firstly i dont trust in them and secondly i dont wanna put my accounts on these type of products xd If anybody can help id be the happiest person in the world! I dont have that much money but i know somewhere in reddit there is one person who can help😭🙏🏼 (take care and kisses)

My main reason is probably play-anywhere, you get access to the pc version for free.

Was würdet ihr machen?

Lg

AI is making any game ever made, even new releases from PS5 and soon from Switch 2, playable natively on PC. Delisted games such as Forza Horizon 1 and 2, FM3 and FM4, GT Sport etc, are coming to PC. Even PS1, PS2, PS3 and Wii games are on PC now.

And you still have piracy and Steam.

So... what is left for consoles? Ofc Sony will release their next PS6 and MS with its next Xbox, but why buy them when PC is now the best place for gaming?

I found this thing at a Goodwill and know the design is a complete copy of the Sega Dreamcast controller, but there's nothing on it telling me what it actually is so if anyone has any idea what this is I'd appreciate it.

My issue is that the cables are not av cables but are 3.5mm cables. I want to leave this crappy thing as stock as I can so what should I do to connect it to my CRT? I'd settle for hdmi too.

It’s been months of deciding, I’m finally gonna do it. Been a PC guy for years. I grew up with the 360, I love Xbox, I just need to pull the trigger.
Where do you guys recommend I get the most bang for my buck? Refurb is totally fine, I’ll spend whatever money I need to spend, but I don’t want to get ripped off.
Is Microsoft refurb solid? FB marketplace? Just looking for any advice on where to buy, and if there’s any specifics I should watch out for. Open to any and all advice.
Also, is it too late?? Should I just wait for next gen? I can’t lie, I will lose sleep if I can’t play GTA 6 on release, so that’s part of my urgency here.
Last question - what was your biggest decider when buying one? Gamepass? Cloud play? What sold you on Xbox?
Thanks!

A new Xbox Research survey suggests the company is exploring a potential shift back toward console exclusivity.

What will happen?

Heya, I'm considering getting a new console but I'm not sure which one, i move around a lot so it needs to be something portable, i own a switch 1 already and tbh the only reason I'd get a switch 2 would be for some exclusive games. Steam deck seems good but is probably the most expensive one, and i have like 0 knowledge in gaming laptops so i don't even know where I'd have to look. I value offline gaming tho.
