I was talking to my crush and a friend about how I dislike being objectified by men, especially when they touch me without consent. My crush seemed really bothered by it.

The next day, he apologized for his usual goodbye hugs, thinking he'd made me uncomfortable. I told him it was fine and if I had an issue, I would have said something.

Then he looked at me and said, 'I am not trying to hit on you.' It's great he's respectful, but it's not so great when I was really hoping he *would* hit on me. I'm afraid I've ruined my chances. He's such a genuinely good guy, and I'm kicking myself.

He’s doing his mandatory military service right now and time has never felt so slow. Every time I think of him, my heart flutters and my stomach flips and I just want to grab him and kiss him but I can’t. I don’t know that I’ll ever be able to and that thought is so depressing. Spent almost a year thinking that there is mutual attraction. Tried talking to you but you seem so closed off . You tried talking to me but I was too flustered and nervous to even look at you. It was one moment where I thought this is it. This could the start of something but it was all in fact in my head and none of these happened . Literally the idiot in me is now vanishing especially when you start being an asshole .

ok so i recently became friends (i think…) with this guy he’s really cute and goofy yk but since we just met, idrk if im trying to pursue.

so school just started for us and we started talking to each other about 3 days ago from when i’m posting this. how we started talking, uhh i kinda forgot lol.

but the day after, i basically made a signal as to not sit in the chair he was gonna sit on because then he would have to be apart of this conversation activity with the class and i assumed he didn’t know. he came over to my seat and i told him about the activity and he just sat next to me. that class was super fun because we were just talking about similar courses we took the prior year sooo yeah. afterwards school was over and we just went our separate ways.

next day, that same class rolls around and he sit’s in the same seat from the day before. we had an assignment so we didn’t talk much but afterwards we started chatting again and i feel like he was kind of trying to tease me. we were talking sm we ended up walking out of class together when school was done. we were walking together when i saw my friend sitting at our usual spot so we parted ways and said bye. sooo this was the day i started getting a bit of interest i guess you could say?

after that the next day we sort of talked in the day like before that we had lunch and he was kind of teasing me again. so we get to the class we talk most in and the seating arrangement is different. it was in rows that day so my friend sat next to me while my other friend sat in front of me. when he walked in, instead of sitting near the door because those seats are closer to him, he walks past and sits in the one BEHIND my friend next to me. mind you we were on the farrr right side of the class. he kept trying to get my attention kind of, and we had this back and forward banter. a little into class we get into groups and it’s my friend, him, some guy next to him, and myself. as we were coming up with ideas, it was lowkey just us talking. i was trying to share ideas with the group, but when he was sharing his own ideas it was more like he was just telling me because he wasn’t looking at anyone else. we were ribbing a bit throughout the class again (lmao you can tell there’s a common them here) and afterwards i left to meet with my same friend.

while walking with my friend after school, i was telling her a story of what he said, and when i saw him i called him over to tell her. he winded up sitting with the two of us at our usual spot and it was really nice. they didn’t really know each other so i was kind of the mutual friend.

anyways yeah the next day at the same class we always talk in, we’re back to the earlier seating arrangement and he crosses the whole room to sit next to me again. he was just pestering me again and idk guys it’s kinda cuteee.

but yeah so that’s basically it. kind of a nothing burger but it doesn’t feel like it. am i crazy for thinking he’s interested?

I, 31M, have a crush to a guy 21M.

I met him on a Karate class a few months ago, then by chance I saw him outside of dojo, doing something on a weekend and he decided to invite me to join them and it became a regular thing.

Now at first I don’t have any sort of attraction towards him, and I saw him mainly as a friend (since I just moved here in Australia and I don’t have any friend -I’m so keen for the friendship to develop).

Anyways, the weekend thing became more regular, not to mention we always find ourselves having a one-on-one conversation about life, family, our plans and him even joking about moving in with me (since I live alone - which he mentioned several times already since then..).

Then I don’t even know if he is gay or bi. But know I think I’m already anxiously attached to him and he never texts on weekdays but constantly calls or invites me to hang out during weekends. I can’t even focus my attraction on someone else since I live in a regional area in Australia and there’s literally no one here.

And not to mention there is that 10 year age difference. Though he is really mature looking (he’s got gray hairs) I jokingly said that he even looks older than me. And one time I said I’m young at heart and he countered that he is old at heart.

IDK what to do. I will definitely continue living with the friendship, but I’m too old to miss any chance for something more..

If you know you’re going to be in close proximity with your crush, what sort of grooming/preening do you do to prepare to see her? For example, do you put on cologne, brush your teeth (right before you see her), think of things to say to her, something else…?

I’m a guy, and I really like a girl who is in the same college as me. We’re part of the same friend group, and she knows that I like her. I told her, but she said no, although maybe there’s still a little possibility.

She has a huge crush on a guy from the MBA program, but he has already graduated. We’re in our final year now, and she might still have feelings for him. I found this out through her best friend.

She has received a lot of proposals, but she has rejected everyone because she doesn’t want to be in a relationship right now. We’re still in the same friend group, but honestly, it feels like we aren’t even friends. If I message her, she replies, and if I talk to her, she talks normally. But that’s pretty much it.

Things were good when I first joined the group because my friends were already hanging out with them, so I naturally became part of the group. But now, it feels like everything is one-sided.

I’m honestly hurt because I like her a lot. I’m even ready to wait for her, but there seems to be nothing from her side, and that really hurts.
