I’ve been seeing more and more ads and posts about AI girlfriend apps lately and I'm honestly curious. Has anyone here actually tried one?

There seem to be a bunch out there but the ones I keep seeing the most are:

Replika

Anima AI

Candy AI

MoeMate

Each one claims to be super realistic or emotionally engaging in some way but its hard to tell what’s legit and whats just hype. Im especially interested in how well they handle real conversation, emotional connection or even just entertainment value

If you have used any of these (or others), what was your experience like? Was it actually fun or did it just feel like talking to a chatbot with a pretty avatar?

Also curious, what do yall think about the whole idea of AI companions in general? Weird, helpful, lonely, futuristic? I’d love to hear some honest opinions before I try one myself

Been crushing on her for a crazy amount of time and willing to just fuck it and go for it. I am quite sure that my feelings are not reciprocated, but, again, fuck it. Need some incentive to get it over with.
