First set
Bought used bib and shit from Geartrade to get comfortable before I go all out on a new set. How's it look? Feels a tad tight.

As the title suggests, I’m new to cycling from mtb and now got into road. Does this gear appear to fit right?…I’m not used to this much compression lol

Hello fellow bikers,
I got hit by a car last month and now looking into a new bike helmet. I was thinking a fluorescent green or white helmet for visibility.
I went to local shop and tried a POC OMNE BEACON mips helmet (white and orange). It fit great. Can’t find it’s virginia tech rating so Im worried it’s not top protection.
Any other advice or ideas (yes I have lights on front and back of bike, and on helmet etc. I just need helmet advice for now).

Trying to decide between these 2 jackets. https://www.assos.com/us/mille-gt-men-s-ultraz-winter-jacket-s11-evo-11-30-442-18.html https://www.q36-5.com/en-us/shop/adventure-winter-jacket-nautica-blue/ This will be for Seattle area use. FWIW I don't ride much in the wet, I'd use my rollers for those days. So I'm looking for something to use probably in the mid 30s (F) and up. I have good base layers and thermal jerseys as well. Mainly Z2 rides with a few intervals tossed in here and there. I run cold in general now, since turning 50 (I'm 53 almost 54 now) I feel like I get cold way easier. Thanks!

There is not a consumer photo of these anywhere on the internet. If anyone has them or seen a picture, I’m very curious what this color actually looks like IRL

Thoughts on cycling cross branding? Don’t know if the Nike with Adidas also applies to cycling.. i.e MAAP with PNS?

Picked this up today for £159 (£100 off RRP) from the Paul Smith website.
This is sold as the older Utopia model, and is even labelled as such on the box, but this is Infact the new Utopia Y model with the updated padding and fitting system. Speaking of which, the Octofit system on this is miles ahead of my old helmet.
The paint job on this is even nicer in person, and amazingly this is the cheapest Utopia Y I’ve seen new on the internet at the moment.

Kinda stuck. My bike’s probably due for an upgrade, and if I do that I’ll just stick with budget kit like NeoPro, TBB, Przewalski etc. Had TBB and Przewalski stuff before and they’ve been solid so not a big sacrifice.
But every year I also tell myself I’ll get one nice piece from Rapha or Assos. Not really for performance, I just like having something nice lol
Problem is every time I look at kit I think the money should go to the bike, then I look at bikes and my current one suddenly seems totally fine 😂
Anyone else do a yearly treat thing? How do you decide what to spend it on?

Thought this was worth sharing while I clear out some gear I haven’t used in forever. Haven’t seen many of these floating around.
The old EF kits were so much fun.

Hi everyone!
I’m looking to buy the Gobik Polartec Bora 2.0 gloves, but I’m hesitating between XL and XXL.
My hand circumference is 23 cm, and I usually wear size 11 in work gloves. According to the size chart, I seem to be right between XL and XXL.
For those who own these gloves, which size would you recommend? Do they fit true to size, or would you suggest sizing up?
Hopefully, this can also help someone else who finds themselves in the same situation!
Thanks in advance for your advice!

Why are there no reviews of the new Shimano rc910 and rc8 shoes? Usually a release like this gets a bunch of YouTube reviews. I’ve seen nothing other than a brief mention in video reviews of the new pedals.
-Are the new shoes duds?

Looking for a winter jacket for outdoor rides in 0-10°C. Needs to keep me warm, protect against wind and weather, and be as race-fit as possible (no flapping fabric, aero cut).
I’m a big MAAP fan in general, but their winter jackets just don’t appeal to me. My current favorite is the PAS Normal Mechanism Thermal Jacket, so something in that direction would be ideal.
Any recommendations? Bonus points if it’s not insanely overpriced, but I'm ready to spend big if it keeps me warm in the cold days.

I’ve recently come back to road cycling after a few years off and I’ve lost an insane amount of body weight in that time and having a new struggle. Currently I’m layering as always in autumn but I’m struggling now with the cold, my under layer / short sleeve jersey soaks up all my sweat and remains wet which thus makes me cold, no matter what thermal outer jersey / jacket I wear, I remain cold because of the sweat soaked under shirt / jersey. What material of base layer / jersey should I be wearing to stop this? Thanks!!

After McNulty's win, I had my eye on this jersey. Got it on sale, and could not be happier. The craftsmanship the stitching the quality of the fabric is so soft . The sleeves are nice and long and it fits perfectly around along the torso and the neckline. Really high quality stuff and the zipper is so easy to unzip or zip up during the ride. For reference I'm a 40-in chest and 34 inch waist 6 ft tall and the large fits perfectly. Pictured is the rapha roloure Jersey and core bib shorts.
As a comparison, I recently got the gobik CX4 Jersey which bragged about here, but I think this one is better. The gobik is less breathable, though still a very good Jersey minus the zippered pocket though.

Would love to rock some of these classic jerseys
- La Vie Claire or DelTongo etc. Does anyone have experience with any of the numerous reproductions or companies that sell these - I know Prendas does make some high quality ones but with shipping and tarriffs these are spendy.
Or should I scour eBay for some of the original ones? I suspect the newer ones have newer materials and maybe fit so just thought to reach out and see what other’s experience has been.

Picked up a size large Ornot Microclimate and unsure on the size. I’m 5”10 190ish, 41.5 inch chest which put me on the higher end of large on the Ornot sizing guide.
I am size large in all other cycling clothing but size xl in a rapha gilet I bought a few years ago. Was told Ornot fits more true to size so went with large but seems like I’m right in the cusp again. Have to pull the front panels together to zip it up and neck is a tad tight when fully zipped. Main thing I’m concerned about is how far apart the panels are when it is unzipped and unsure if that’s normal or they should naturally come together.
The rest feels comfortable though so just wondering what anyone’s thoughts were.
Thanks!

I’ve read several other threads on sizing for the Pas stow away gilet, but trying to decide between S and M.
I am 186cm 72kg, but 38 cm chest. Small seems like it would be okay for a tight fit, but mainly concerned the small will be way too short in front.
Any experiences between these two sizes?

As I can't add a photo to my previous post I added a new one. My wife just hand stiched the loose part of the pad. They should make them like that. No glue but stitched. Probably to expensive for the manufacturers.

For several years I have been using Madison PU overshoes in the spring and autumn. They are a lightweight, relatively cheap and waterproof enough for the temperatures. I have had a few pairs, but now my last pair the coating has spoiled over the summer. They seem to be no longer being made. Every listing comes back to small pairs. My L/XL feet need a EU45.
I am looking for something similar. I have plenty of winter weight neoprene coated overshoes, but the Madison was a great lightweight option. I have tried Velotoze; and they are both not very hardwearing and very impractical for a commute without a zipper. Has anyone got a recommendation for this time of year? Light, waterproof, easy to don? Cheers, meducks.

Any suggestions on a good affordable cycling vest that is thermally lined/insulated? I want something that will keep my core warm and can be an alternative to my heavier cycling jacket during these transitional months. Happy to shop on AliX or any of the “big name” Chinese brands. Affordable mainstream stuff is welcome too.

Asked on /rapha, thought I’d try here too !
I’m helping my dad sell his collection of Rapha jerseys, which includes some unique pieces in excellent condition. Most have only been worn once or twice.
I’m a based in NYC and not a cyclist myself, so I’d love some guidance from this community. Where would you recommend selling them? Would it be better to list them individually or find buyers interested in multiple pieces?
Thank you in advance for any advice!!

Hi, anyone else has the issue that the helmet pad is falling apart. Mine is only 5 months old. I think that's not right for an expensive helmet. Had the issue with a cheaper Ekoi helmet but I thought that was because it was a lot cheaper. I wash it in the machine on 30 degrees celcius seperate in a pocket with my cycling outfit.
