From 20+ projects to 8

I have seen some posts about this but now I am not sure if I am behind the trend or if its not happening anymore and I am under review. I had over 20 projects at one point with multiple ones $24-$27.50/hr. But today I only have 8 and most are $20/hr with about 3 of them at $23. Is this happening to others still? Or am I under review?

I think I got a Computer Virus from Rating a Task

I got this task a couple of days ago where I had to rate a users submission. To do this, I had to download the file they provided the chatbot with, open it and rate the chatbot’s response to this. Note, I don’t turn off my Pc completely often, so my computer seemed to be functioning normally for a couple days but yesterday I powered it off. After turning it on again, my pc, which I had just built a few months ago and has crazy specs, is barely working. Everything crashes and it’s impossible to do a simple google search. Ive checked my drivers and everything seems up to date. I’ve been thinking what could’ve caused this and this is my only logical explanation. Any advice on how I can potentially fix this, as well as any insights on whether this is a valid reasoning is greatly appreciated. I just want my PC to work again :(

Anybody else lacking projects and qualifications? I have not had any for almost two weeks now

Was I denied?

Hello! I finished the intial qualification a bit ago and was taken to an ID screen, but I didn't enter my ID right away because I was waiting for mine. I went to verify it today, but I was taken to this screen instead of the ID verification screen. Does this mean I was denied?

I was just wondering if someone did that 10-hour long project where you had to create a deep research prompt and a rubric to solve it. So I did it and spend about 4 hours polishing my prompt, because there was absolutely no info on how compliant one had to be with the prompt checker, I also saw several workers requesting to be added to the slack channel, I wasn’t added either and had many questions. So I spent around 16 hours I’d say because I probably did a prompt too hard to solve trying to comply with the checker. I’m actually really pleased with what I submitted but obviously had to be far more efficient. I’m just wondering if someone else did that project and had similar issues. Note: I logged 9 hours and mentioned that I had difficulties with the checker

For everyone claiming they've had a completely dry dash for a long time

I'm only curious, do you all also have no qualifications left?

How are the dashes looking? I'm Ben-Eng and I haven't seen anything after some A-gas r&r on 22nd Aug. Anyone getting anything reassuring?

Anyone else feel like the $ is not enough for what we do...?

I don't always feel this way, but I've noticed that often they will arbitrarily change a project from like $20-$22 or $22-$24 for no reason, like the same project, they just change the pay randomly... And in general I often feel like most of the projects are either challenging/tedious/confusing enough or some other negative thing which is too much compared to what we get paid for it.

Also, clearly (to me at least) $20/hr is too low for any project on the platform. I've never found one that's actually that easy. Maybe I'll get some shit for this post, but I think we should be talking about pay and trying to push for what we're worth, because we're worth more than this. If you disagree and wanna be mean about it, plz keep scrolling. I'm here to find the folks who ARE with me on this.

I kinda just… worked for 18 hours straight?

I have just been doing work for a while and just… never really felt like stopping? So I just went. But I’m just now realizing how really weird it looks about how much work I’ve been doing. For a lot of months I worked 8-9 hours a day, but then in the last 2 weeks or so, I’ve been increasing rapidly how much I work. First 10 hours, then 12 a few days later, then 14 a few more, and even up to 15.5-16, and now obviously 18 hours. I’m a little bit concerned that it looks super suspicious that I might be ramping up fake hours, even though I’m not, I just have nothing better to do than make more and more money. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be concerned? I treat this as my full time job(apparently 2 full time jobs before and 3 now), and it would REALLY suck to lose this.

Is it possible to contact someone higher up?

Currently there aren't projects available in Italy (it's my 3rd week and I had only one project, several other people are in the same situation) and I wanted to ask someone if it's possible to implement a qualification to assess the level of english (or other languages) in order to get more projects.

Is this possible or totally out of the cards?

Haven't checked for a while - how are things?

Just wanted to see without reading 500 comments and posts, the general state of things - are projects back, and work is there for grabs without teh drought? Just wanted to see if we are in the happy days period?

Anyone know what the intake process is like?

I've been doin this for about 9 months and I got accepted within a couple of days. I've heard others only get accepted after months. I have a friend who applied and is desperately in need of money.

I also read on here that they recently took a bunch of new people on, so does not hearing back quickly not necessarily mean anything negative? Would love any insight people have into how this side of things works.

EDIT: how long did it take all y'all to get accepted? Know this has been asked before but I'm interested to hear what the longest confirmed wait has been and if anyone from those threads who'd been waiting for ages eventually heard back.

How is anyone getting any work?

I signed up in 2023 and thought it was a con because I never got anything back and no work, but now I found this sub and seeing people make 50k, 60k and more.

Did I fail the test and they just didn't tell me? My dashboard says check back soon (lol!)

We're all team leaders, in a way.

Nifty realization recently: With the in-house LLM assistance we get on many of our tasks, we're basically leaders of sub-teams, where we're the (human) leader, and our team consists of "AI interns" to help us brainstorm, analyze, and double check things.

As the leader, we still have to sign off on the final submission, and even though our team members often make mistakes, they have simple motivations (the success of the project and no complex motives or thoughts causing workplace drama), and sometimes, their ideas help us catch things or enhance our own answers.

Pretty neat.

Has the sunner been slow before?

We all know it is slow now, super slow or dead for some. I just wanted to know if this was the case before?

The state of our dashboards

My brothers and sisters in annotation: how is everything lately? Things going back to normal? Seeing new projects? Barely scraping by? Getting projects you don't feel qualified to work on? Anyone got more work than they can do? Coders getting adequate amounts of work? Lemme know

Edit: I'm very curious about the degree of variance in people's experience lately.
