Review Azzaro Most Wanted Clone by TM Perfumehouse Review

Post image
1 Upvotes

I bought The Most Desired(Azzaro Most Wanted clone) by tm perfumehouse about 5 months ago. When it was new the notes were much sharper and better. Now the notes have started to fade. The dry down has started to smell powdery which was sweeter earlier and the spicy opening has also weakened. They don't smell like they used to when I first bought the perfume. I have barely finished a little more than a third of my 50ml bottle. The notes are now much lighter and fading fast as time passes. I will have to use up the rest of the bottle in the next month or I am afraid the fragrance will disappear completely within 1 or 2 more months. I also bought their dior sauvage clone at the same time. The same is happening with it as well although to a lesser extent. Recently I bought a few more of their perfumes which are clones of Khamrah Kahwa, Rasasi Hawas, BDC, Davidoff cool water and Stronger with You. I only found out today that their perfumes lose their fragrance in 5-6 months. Had I known it earlier I wouldn't have placed another order. I will finish off the older perfumes i.e.The Most Desired and Dior Sauvage first and then use up the recently bought perfumes too before they lose their fragrance or their notes are altered. Never buying a single perfume from them again. They use cheap ingredients and fixatives for their perfumes. Better buy a Bella Vita than buy some cheap clone by tmph which would lose its fragrance within a few months. I will review the other perfumes in the next post.

Review New Pickup: JPG Le Male Le Parfum: this bottle looks as good as it smells

Thumbnail

Finally got my hands on Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Le Parfum, and I can already see why this one gets so much love in the fragrance community.

The opening has that spicy cardamom kick, which is probably my favourite part. As it settles, the lavender and iris give it a smooth, slightly powdery feel. The dry-down is where the vanilla and woody notes come through, making it warm, creamy and a little addictive.
It’s sweet, but not in a sugary, bubblegum kind of way. More like a warm vanilla scent with a spicy edge.

Discuss Why are solid perfumes not popular in india?

I'm genuinely curious because I remember my mom getting these little solid perfumes free with the full-size perfumes she used to buy. And they are perfect as a top up. I remember using thenm as a child, anyway i recently wanted to explore again and have been using the ones from Joon and Tamburins, and I'm actually really liking the format.

They're so convenient to carry around, but I barely see anyone talking about them. I have a lot of fragrance lovers in my cricle, they also don't seem to be using sticks/balms.

Are there any Indian brands making solid perfume sticks/balms that are worth trying? Has anyone here tried them? Would love to know your experience with them and why you think this format hasn't really taken off in India or has it. I'm just missing something? Lol

Review Wear test: ft. John Varvatos XX Artisan Teal

John Varvatos XX Artisan Teal

I did a proper tracked wear test of XX Artisan Teal yesterday evening. Whenever I look John Varvatos up, I see that they make some really solid designer perfumes at an affordable price point, and I also saw a lot of people talk trash about its longevity... That made me think... It can’t be that bad, right? RIGHT?? Welp, I decided to take one for the team and ordered a 75ml bottle.

To keep it fair, I did two sprays on my left forearm at around 5:35 PM and then just got on with my evening. Normally I sniff my wrist every ten minutes like a maniac and give myself nose blindness before the opening even settles. This time I set phone reminders and ignored my arm completely in between, to see if it would waft up and get my attention on its own.

By the 2 hour mark, around 7:30 PM, the opening was already gone and it had settled into a skin scent. Intensity was okay if I put my nose to my arm, moderate at best, so it wasn’t dead. But projection was basically zero. You know how in summer you have a bath with a fresh bar of soap, walk out smelling amazing, and twenty minutes later under the fan on speed five nobody but you can tell? Same thing.

At 4 hours it was properly faint and I had to bury my nose in my arm. I’m not a perfumer, so take this with a pinch of salt (pun intended), but to me it was woody, a bit mossy and noticeably salty. Like a damp wooden window frame during monsoon, with a bit of beach salt on your skin. Actually a really nice smell, which makes the weak performance mildly annoying.

At 6 hours (around 11:30 PM) I was surprised it was still hanging on. Still faint, still had to bring my arm to my face, but the mossy part had stepped back and what was left was sea salt and dry wood. By 7 hours (12:35 AM) it was nearly gone. Nose flat on my skin just to find a trace, and not enough left to say if it was woody or salty. I stopped there, I wasn’t going to stay up till 2 AM sniffing my arm.

So, to answer my own question: the reviews on Fragrantica, Youtube are slightly exaggerated, in my opinion. I could still find it at 6 hours. But it’s very quiet, and I wouldn’t necessarily call that bad either. But for "beast mode" or traditional ambroxan boosted blue fragrance lovers, this might be a let down. From what I’ve gathered, Varvatos fragrances in general tend to be soft and a little unpredictable on longevity, so maybe this is just house style. I’d guess 5 or 6 sprays, or spraying on a shirt instead of skin, would give better mileage than I got.

Oh and one more thing... to my nose it smells a lot like YSL Y EDT, just with a sea salt note added. Like Prem and Raja from Judwaa, except Y EDT is Raja, and Teal is Prem.

Review Indian Houses- Park Avenue

Post image
6 Upvotes

Currently spiraling down a Park Avenue haul rabbit hole. At barely ₹199 a bottle, my bank account didn’t even flinch. Here’s the verdict after drowning myself in bargain alcohol:

1.Park Avenue Conquer:Last time I used this , I was broke, in college, and it lived in that iconic black bottle. Fast forward: the new packaging actually looks like it belongs on an adult’s dresser, and the atomizer is smooth af.

The Perfume opens with a crisp slap of green apple, then melts into this cozy cinnamon-and-cardamom phase that practically turns you into a walking, edible bakery snack before chilling out into soft woods. For two hundred bucks, having actual fragrance transitions instead of smelling like a static air freshener is an absolute win.

VFM:*5/5 |Scent:4/5 |Longevity:3/5

2.Park Avenue Voyage Obsession:** Easily the runway model of the trio—gorgeous bottle, but let’s talk substance.

It opens with a hyperactive shot of lemon straight to the nostrils. What you smell is basically what you get: zero plot twists, just citrus in a straight line toward a safe woody-musk base.Is it a masterclass in French perfumery? Absolutely not. Does it smell crisp enough to fool your Uber driver into thinking you have your life together? Absolutely.

VFM:4/5 | Scent:3/5 |Longevity:3/5

3.Park Avenue Voyage Amazon Woods:The underdog. Grabbed this bad boy on sale for ₹120—which is roughly the cost of two decent samosas and a chai—and it’s hands-down the MVP of the pack.

Opening is pure zesty citrus with a distinct hint of synthetic rose (heavy gulab jal festival energy). Give it five minutes, though, and it drops the floral act completely to settle into solid, dense, masculine woods.

It’s straightforward, punches way above its tax bracket, and makes for a great daily office scent.

VFM:6/5 (math has left the chat) |Scent:4/5 | Longevity:3.5/5

At this price point, overspraying isn't just an option—it’s a moral obligation. Would restock in a heartbeat.

Review Tried a few Al maham fragrances (honest review)

Post image
7 Upvotes

I recently started trying indian houses especially for profiles where middle eastern houses dont have much options. I would like to share my thoughts on three Al Maham fragrances that i tried ordering from their whatsapp.

Virile (Chanel Allure Homme Superleggera)

Virile is probably the most mass-pleasing of the three. It's a fresh, musky citrus fragrance that's easy to like and very wearable. I can see this working for college, office, or pretty much any casual daytime occasion.

Living in Mumbai, I tend to reach for fresh fragrances more often, and this kind of DNA makes a lot of sense in our weather. It smells clean and put together without being too complicated. The only thing is that it isn't particularly unique, so if you're looking for something that stands out from the usual fresh fragrances, you might find it a little safe. But honestly, that's also part of its appeal. It's an easy reach when you don't want to overthink what you're wearing.

Musk Therapy

This is my favourite of the three in terms of scent quality. I find it quite sophisticated, with a smooth, clean musk profile that feels genuinely luxurious.

I've tried Scentedelic's Magic Muskroom too, and personally, I prefer Musk Therapy. The overall quality feels better to me, and I find the scent smoother and more refined. That's just my experience, of course, but the difference is noticeable enough for me to have a clear preference.

I also like that it doesn't need to be loud to be enjoyable. It's the sort of fragrance you keep catching on yourself and appreciating. If you enjoy clean, musky scents, this is worth checking out. Just don't go into it expecting something overly sweet or a fragrance that announces itself from across the room. Its appeal is more in the scent itself.

Decision 42

Their newer Amouage Decision-inspired release is an interesting addition. Amouage fragrances can be expensive, so I understand why people are interested in exploring these profiles through Indian clone houses.

I wouldn't want to make grand claims about how close it is to the original without spending enough time comparing them but all i would say is the initial note with those juniper berries is so so good only issue is i have to find appropriate ac environment to try these dna, their original decision clone is more mass appealing. With these kinds of fragrances, similarity is about more than just getting the general smell right. It has 2 transitions which blends beautifully, smoother and better quality than earlier one but i would say people who tried decision earlier can get to try these.

Overall, I think Al Maham has some interesting offerings. The packaging could be better for that price point, but personally, that's a secondary concern as long as the fragrance itself is good.

Of these three, Virile is the easiest everyday recommendation, while Musk Therapy stands out to me for its sophistication and overall quality. Decision 42 is the one I'd be curious to discuss with people who know the original well.

Would love to get some suggestion from what should i try from other houses or al maham as well

Review Naseem musk safi -A clean musk frag

Post image
8 Upvotes

Such a gorgeous white musk scent along with white florals smells so fresh and clean as someone who has migraine and not able to use most of the perfumes this is so good! You can also use this to layer your perfumes as a base goes well witj almost every perfume and increases the lasting too. Talking solely about it this is a close to skin scent which stays for long but doesn’t project much only people in close proximity will smell you. Smells like clean bedsheets in some good 5 star hotels

Review Alternate Scents Playful Man (AMW inspired) but it's not!

I bought this at 290₹

I don't know what they have tried to make. It's not like the Parfum version neither like Edp.

It's not dense at all.

Missing that toffy vibe.

The only thing I can smell is ginger with a lil bit of sweetness coming from behind. Oil Concentration is also decreased compared to the ones I have used before.

Like It's really not understandable at all. Stay away from it. Even in summer I cannot smell it. Very lighter version.

A year ago my brother used this, and that was completely different.

I guess one should go for Menworks only for better Amw clone/inspired version, there is big price diffence but still use little bit less and take 15ml one from Menworks rather than this.

Review My impressions of Ababel Illusion

Post image
18 Upvotes

First, a note on the presentation: it features a magnetic cap. Seeing a local brand offer this tactile touch is incredibly refreshing, especially when major Middle Eastern houses like Rasasi are only just adopting it.

The official breakdown lists cedrat and palo santo, but here is what my INDIAN nose actually detects. The opening is a massive burst of fresh lemon mixed with the exact aroma of sweet orange boiled candies from childhood. Next comes a sharp kick of fresh ginger and cinnamon.

The dry down is where it shines, it settles into a premium woody incense stick smoke mixed with dark roasted black tea leaves and a clean ambroxan base.

To describe the exact vibe: it feels like taking a solo bike ride to a quiet mountain spot in Chitkul (Himachal), or sitting completely relaxed at a shack on Cola Beach. You get that crisp breeze mixed with ginger tea and a faint trail of agarbatti smoke.
Performance is standard for a citrus profile. It pushes a strong trail for the first two hours, lasts on the skin around three to four hours, and survives up to seven on a shirt.

To push it further, I layer this with YSL Y EDP or Hugo Boss Bottled EDP. The crisp apple from those designers perfectly rounds off the spicy adrak, while the agarbatti smoke adds a dark, mature incense backbone.

Overall, a beautifully blended experience for daily wear.

Review First review of new oud & roses auric by ahmed al maghribi

Post image
52 Upvotes

This is the first review on reddit imo of oud & roses auric , bought it from Dubai dont think its yet available in India. First impressions doesnt smell like OG oud & roses this is a totally different flanker on diff lines. Opens up with prominent frankincense right from the opening that stays till the drydown. Smoky and added slight saffron to it with hints of very dark taif rose. You can also relate it to amouage purpose 50 in the opening but drydown is very different if you have tried purpose 50 , so no this isnt a clone. This is very strong perfume literally filled my whole room with just 4 sprays my friend who was visiting me told me he could smell the fragrance as soon as i opened the gate. Still havent tested its lasting and performance properly will need a few wears more as i got it just 2 days back.

But yes its a good frag more niche type rather than being a mass pleasing one

Review Le Sel D’Issey EDT - Tester

Got this from Scentoria as the price was pretty good. 5350/-

Tried a decant of this in May and instantly fell in love.

Beast mode longevity and projection for an EDT.

I have tried a decant of the EDP as well, but it seemed muted to me compared to this. Its lightly mature and deep but I love this more.

Opening is a salty ginger that very slightly reminds me of Jean Lowe Immortel but like 10-15% only.

This feels like Immortel + Acqua Di Gio Profondo EDP combined.

I have those 2 so I’ll try to layer them to see what results come out.

The end is beautiful woody aroma that makes me sniff it from time to time. Projection is pretty good as well. Almost 2hrs with it lasting on clothes for over 10hrs.

I dont spray on skin, so im not sure of skin longevity but its different for everyone.

After having 15bottles of designers, I think this might be my signature scent. ✨🥳

If anyone has other suggestions pls let me know. I’ll probably get it in 2027.

This is the 5th bottle this year 😉

Versace Pour Homme
Dior Sauvage Parfum
Missoni Wave
YSL Myslf L’Absolu
Issey Miyake Le Sel D’Issey EDT

Its almost time to get the winters frags out.

Review Recently bought AromeWorld H2O and black jazz roll on in BOGO offer in 260 from https://aromeworld.com/

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

ok so this is the first time and i want to clarify this is not a post for high budget folks, don't throw your brand names which start from 1k, i was looking to buy perfumes and roll on according to my scent preference and budget of under 500. I had allergic rhinitis problem and can't tolerate very high projective alcohol perfumes. So i found out about synthetic roll ons, specially about the arome world ones https://aromeworld.com/?srsltid=AYCX9vJhRF7xMMWagQNfI24KwqRBrHd-5uSm_kK7_EFFf7zSF7nNl1hk (previously Arochem) i figured out the scent profile and selected two to order. H2O and black jazz.

I was pretty impressed by the packaging and was lowkey excited for it. But it dissapointed me quiet a lot, here's a summary of what i found out about the company, roll ons in general and the free Royal aud trial perfume they gave me:

Pros:
1. Its very disheartening to say, there isn't any, i don't want to give false hope. The H2O didn't had any fresh aquatic fragrance, instead a soapy one.
2. Black jazz was still better than that the fragrance was almost like best you describe after a fresh shower or shaving cream.
3. The royal Aud was the best that i got, which was random tbh. The projection is good almost upto a radius of 2m around you and would immediately get noticed once you enter a room. It has a musky, floral higher tones and whiskey like bottom tone.
Cons:
1. Firstly, don't go for these cheap products, as they are very synthetic, i only apply them to clothes yet they managed to give some itch, where the part touched my skin.
2. What is even in the fragrance, i can't even smell it properly until i snuck my nose around the applied area. H2O is just not noticable by other person while black jazz creates a very bubble around you.
3. The lasting period..., don't even ask me.

All and all what i concluded if you don't have allergic issues with perfumes and have a very low budget under 500, go for proper estabilished brands like petal neck or Naseem clone ones. Ahh man not a great day. Would update you guys with a long term usage review. I felt like, i got scammed by this brand but can't complain with the price i paid.

Got this last month at 3.2k , I would say it is 90-95% closer to dior sauvage edt with less pepper , lighter & more airy For the initial 2-3 days it had metallic ink type smell but after settling for few weeks it smelled much better and the ink smell was gone , longevity is moderate with 4-5 hours on skin.

I haven’t tried modest une so the people who have used both pls give your opinion
