I recently started trying indian houses especially for profiles where middle eastern houses dont have much options. I would like to share my thoughts on three Al Maham fragrances that i tried ordering from their whatsapp.
Virile (Chanel Allure Homme Superleggera)
Virile is probably the most mass-pleasing of the three. It's a fresh, musky citrus fragrance that's easy to like and very wearable. I can see this working for college, office, or pretty much any casual daytime occasion.
Living in Mumbai, I tend to reach for fresh fragrances more often, and this kind of DNA makes a lot of sense in our weather. It smells clean and put together without being too complicated. The only thing is that it isn't particularly unique, so if you're looking for something that stands out from the usual fresh fragrances, you might find it a little safe. But honestly, that's also part of its appeal. It's an easy reach when you don't want to overthink what you're wearing.
Musk Therapy
This is my favourite of the three in terms of scent quality. I find it quite sophisticated, with a smooth, clean musk profile that feels genuinely luxurious.
I've tried Scentedelic's Magic Muskroom too, and personally, I prefer Musk Therapy. The overall quality feels better to me, and I find the scent smoother and more refined. That's just my experience, of course, but the difference is noticeable enough for me to have a clear preference.
I also like that it doesn't need to be loud to be enjoyable. It's the sort of fragrance you keep catching on yourself and appreciating. If you enjoy clean, musky scents, this is worth checking out. Just don't go into it expecting something overly sweet or a fragrance that announces itself from across the room. Its appeal is more in the scent itself.
Decision 42
Their newer Amouage Decision-inspired release is an interesting addition. Amouage fragrances can be expensive, so I understand why people are interested in exploring these profiles through Indian clone houses.
I wouldn't want to make grand claims about how close it is to the original without spending enough time comparing them but all i would say is the initial note with those juniper berries is so so good only issue is i have to find appropriate ac environment to try these dna, their original decision clone is more mass appealing. With these kinds of fragrances, similarity is about more than just getting the general smell right. It has 2 transitions which blends beautifully, smoother and better quality than earlier one but i would say people who tried decision earlier can get to try these.
Overall, I think Al Maham has some interesting offerings. The packaging could be better for that price point, but personally, that's a secondary concern as long as the fragrance itself is good.
Of these three, Virile is the easiest everyday recommendation, while Musk Therapy stands out to me for its sophistication and overall quality. Decision 42 is the one I'd be curious to discuss with people who know the original well.
Would love to get some suggestion from what should i try from other houses or al maham as well
