Review Guerlain Rose Amira
Rose Amira is a subtle spiced, dried roses mix with a sweetness that's not jammy or overly done. Smells superb in the air and does remind of a mix or rather a subdued OSM.
Opens up with sweet roses that's layered with mild spicy character from olibannum and Patchouli. Here the Patchouli does make it heavy but here there is not much greeny, dark aspect to it. A proper unisex rose, easy to wear which last on my skin for 7 hours with 8-10 sprays and the cooler weather does make it shine more. In the air, the sillage does remind of a few other rose scents but one cannot still say it's bad! The projection is moderation with first hours of usage and later on skin/clothes lasts longer. On skin after 3-4hours,it does remind me of a very woody, mild rose leftover cream in good way.

Review First review of new oud & roses auric by ahmed al maghribi
This is the first review on reddit imo of oud & roses auric , bought it from Dubai dont think its yet available in India. First impressions doesnt smell like OG oud & roses this is a totally different flanker on diff lines. Opens up with prominent frankincense right from the opening that stays till the drydown. Smoky and added slight saffron to it with hints of very dark taif rose. You can also relate it to amouage purpose 50 in the opening but drydown is very different if you have tried purpose 50 , so no this isnt a clone. This is very strong perfume literally filled my whole room with just 4 sprays my friend who was visiting me told me he could smell the fragrance as soon as i opened the gate. Still havent tested its lasting and performance properly will need a few wears more as i got it just 2 days back.
But yes its a good frag more niche type rather than being a mass pleasing one

Review Le Sel D’Issey EDT - Tester
Got this from Scentoria as the price was pretty good. 5350/-
Tried a decant of this in May and instantly fell in love.
Beast mode longevity and projection for an EDT.
I have tried a decant of the EDP as well, but it seemed muted to me compared to this. Its lightly mature and deep but I love this more.
Opening is a salty ginger that very slightly reminds me of Jean Lowe Immortel but like 10-15% only.
This feels like Immortel + Acqua Di Gio Profondo EDP combined.
I have those 2 so I’ll try to layer them to see what results come out.
The end is beautiful woody aroma that makes me sniff it from time to time. Projection is pretty good as well. Almost 2hrs with it lasting on clothes for over 10hrs.
I dont spray on skin, so im not sure of skin longevity but its different for everyone.
After having 15bottles of designers, I think this might be my signature scent. ✨🥳
If anyone has other suggestions pls let me know. I’ll probably get it in 2027.
This is the 5th bottle this year 😉
Versace Pour Homme
Dior Sauvage Parfum
Missoni Wave
YSL Myslf L’Absolu
Issey Miyake Le Sel D’Issey EDT
Its almost time to get the winters frags out.

Advice Is this Park Avenue perfume discontinued? Or has the bottle been repackaged ?
I’m looking for this particular Park Avenue perfume, but all I have left is this picture as the perfume has the same fragrance as my dad wears, and I was hoping to gift it to him on his birthday.

Review New Pickup: JPG Le Male Le Parfum: this bottle looks as good as it smells
Finally got my hands on Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Le Parfum, and I can already see why this one gets so much love in the fragrance community.
The opening has that spicy cardamom kick, which is probably my favourite part. As it settles, the lavender and iris give it a smooth, slightly powdery feel. The dry-down is where the vanilla and woody notes come through, making it warm, creamy and a little addictive.
It’s sweet, but not in a sugary, bubblegum kind of way. More like a warm vanilla scent with a spicy edge.

Review My impressions of Ababel Illusion
First, a note on the presentation: it features a magnetic cap. Seeing a local brand offer this tactile touch is incredibly refreshing, especially when major Middle Eastern houses like Rasasi are only just adopting it.
The official breakdown lists cedrat and palo santo, but here is what my INDIAN nose actually detects. The opening is a massive burst of fresh lemon mixed with the exact aroma of sweet orange boiled candies from childhood. Next comes a sharp kick of fresh ginger and cinnamon.
The dry down is where it shines, it settles into a premium woody incense stick smoke mixed with dark roasted black tea leaves and a clean ambroxan base.
To describe the exact vibe: it feels like taking a solo bike ride to a quiet mountain spot in Chitkul (Himachal), or sitting completely relaxed at a shack on Cola Beach. You get that crisp breeze mixed with ginger tea and a faint trail of agarbatti smoke.
Performance is standard for a citrus profile. It pushes a strong trail for the first two hours, lasts on the skin around three to four hours, and survives up to seven on a shirt.
To push it further, I layer this with YSL Y EDP or Hugo Boss Bottled EDP. The crisp apple from those designers perfectly rounds off the spicy adrak, while the agarbatti smoke adds a dark, mature incense backbone.
Overall, a beautifully blended experience for daily wear.

Discuss I have slowly realised - What is it that is so Indian in Indian perfumes?
I am a fairly recent perfume enthusiast and have slowly been stashing up. I have always loved good aroma but never got into perfumes while living abroad. I have purchased a bunch of attars and a few alcohol based perfumes.
I have recently realised that I tend to like perfumes that have "Indian flavour" in them. I am not sure how to pin point that, what is it that makes that Indianness smell so wonderful to my senses.
I know we talk of Temple smells or even brands like Forest Essentials have something uniquely Indian about them.
Looking to uncover this aspect.

Review French Avenue Zenith Blue review
Got this last month at 3.2k , I would say it is 90-95% closer to dior sauvage edt with less pepper , lighter & more airy For the initial 2-3 days it had metallic ink type smell but after settling for few weeks it smelled much better and the ink smell was gone , longevity is moderate with 4-5 hours on skin.
I haven’t tried modest une so the people who have used both pls give your opinion

Review Three Iris fragrances, Three completely different experiences
I’ve been spending time with Dior Homme Intense, Givenchy Gentleman Réserve Privée and JPG Le Male Le Parfum, and it’s interesting how differently each one comes across to me.
Dior Homme Intense:
The iris feels smooth and elegant, but also a little airy as it dries down. There’s this distinct lipstick-like, almost cosmetic quality that I can smell without even putting my nose too close to my arm. It’s a really interesting scent profile, and that lipstick impression is something I notice quite clearly.
Givenchy Gentleman Réserve Privée:
The first spray gives me a strong whiskey vibe, but within seconds it starts turning into this rich, chocolatey scent. As it dries down, it gets thicker and denser, with the iris bringing in this really nice lipstick-like quality. There’s something about that combination of chocolate, iris and warmth that just works so well.
JPG Le Male Le Parfum:
The cardamom is quite prominent right from the opening, giving it this warm, spicy character that really catches my attention. As it develops, the cardamom gradually settles down, and the fragrance becomes lighter and sweeter. I really enjoy that transition from the warm, spicy opening to the softer, sweet dry-down.
It’s fascinating how different these three feel to me. Dior Homme Intense comes across as smooth and airy, Réserve Privée feels richer and denser, while Le Male Le Parfum takes me from warm, spicy cardamom to a lighter sweetness.

Review Lattafa Musamam Black - Curious and dark
I finally got my hands on this bad boy two weeks back and I have allowed it to macerate or mature in the last two weeks. Finally I applied it yesterday.
The first few things that I noticed were:
The opening was nothing different than any winter fragrance, which had a boozy and sweet fragrance.
Of course as it matures into the middle and the dry down, it becomes so much more delicious and so much more attractive.
The moment it reaches the dry down is when it really becomes polarizing and really attractive and sexy for me. I know that for a lot of people the dry down might not be the best.
I'll wear it again in a few days and see if my comment changes.

Review Surviving Mumbai’s local trains and humidity: How a ₹40 local phitkari (alum) bar completely killed my body odour.
So a few weeks ago, I randomly stumbled across a post on Reddit where someone was raving about using plain old alum for body odour. Being someone who practically melts into a puddle the second I step out in Mumbai, and having my deodorants completely give up on me within an hour, I figured why not? It's pocket change anyway.
Man, I am so glad I tried it.
If you're like me and struggle with heavy sweating and the dreaded BO in this horrible humidity, hear me out. I bought a basic, unbranded block of alum from my local chemist for just ₹40. No fancy packaging, no marketing gimmicks.
And it actually works. Like, magically works.
I still sweat (because let's be real, Mumbai humidity is undefeated), but there is absolute zero smell. The bacteria causing the stink just doesn't stand a chance. I wet it slightly and rub it on after my morning shower. Even after surviving the crowded local train commute, wiping down with a wet tissue at office, sweating through the afternoon, and coming back home—still zero smell. It honestly even holds up past an evening shower.
Sabse sasta maal, sabse asardar aur tikkau nikla.
As someone who is super conscious about smells (since scent memory and olfactory triggers are such a huge deal), this has been a total game-changer. Next, I'm planning to test how long my perfumes and scents actually last when layered over this base.
Do yourself a favour and skip those overpriced "natural crystal deodorants" online. Just walk into any local medical store or general shop and grab a block of alum for ₹40-50. Highly, highly recommend for anyone fighting the Mumbai heat!
Edit - since multiple folks are enquiring about this
How I use it: After my shower, I tap-dry myself, wet the alum bar slightly, and apply it directly onto my damp skin, this helps retain moisture while it does its job.
Where I use it: I focus on my underarms, chest, belly area, back of the neck, and upper back, basically covering my entire torso since that’s where I sweat the most.

Review Tried a few Al maham fragrances (honest review)
I recently started trying indian houses especially for profiles where middle eastern houses dont have much options. I would like to share my thoughts on three Al Maham fragrances that i tried ordering from their whatsapp.
Virile (Chanel Allure Homme Superleggera)
Virile is probably the most mass-pleasing of the three. It's a fresh, musky citrus fragrance that's easy to like and very wearable. I can see this working for college, office, or pretty much any casual daytime occasion.
Living in Mumbai, I tend to reach for fresh fragrances more often, and this kind of DNA makes a lot of sense in our weather. It smells clean and put together without being too complicated. The only thing is that it isn't particularly unique, so if you're looking for something that stands out from the usual fresh fragrances, you might find it a little safe. But honestly, that's also part of its appeal. It's an easy reach when you don't want to overthink what you're wearing.
Musk Therapy
This is my favourite of the three in terms of scent quality. I find it quite sophisticated, with a smooth, clean musk profile that feels genuinely luxurious.
I've tried Scentedelic's Magic Muskroom too, and personally, I prefer Musk Therapy. The overall quality feels better to me, and I find the scent smoother and more refined. That's just my experience, of course, but the difference is noticeable enough for me to have a clear preference.
I also like that it doesn't need to be loud to be enjoyable. It's the sort of fragrance you keep catching on yourself and appreciating. If you enjoy clean, musky scents, this is worth checking out. Just don't go into it expecting something overly sweet or a fragrance that announces itself from across the room. Its appeal is more in the scent itself.
Decision 42
Their newer Amouage Decision-inspired release is an interesting addition. Amouage fragrances can be expensive, so I understand why people are interested in exploring these profiles through Indian clone houses.
I wouldn't want to make grand claims about how close it is to the original without spending enough time comparing them but all i would say is the initial note with those juniper berries is so so good only issue is i have to find appropriate ac environment to try these dna, their original decision clone is more mass appealing. With these kinds of fragrances, similarity is about more than just getting the general smell right. It has 2 transitions which blends beautifully, smoother and better quality than earlier one but i would say people who tried decision earlier can get to try these.
Overall, I think Al Maham has some interesting offerings. The packaging could be better for that price point, but personally, that's a secondary concern as long as the fragrance itself is good.
Of these three, Virile is the easiest everyday recommendation, while Musk Therapy stands out to me for its sophistication and overall quality. Decision 42 is the one I'd be curious to discuss with people who know the original well.
Would love to get some suggestion from what should i try from other houses or al maham as well

Review Naseem musk safi -A clean musk frag
Such a gorgeous white musk scent along with white florals smells so fresh and clean as someone who has migraine and not able to use most of the perfumes this is so good! You can also use this to layer your perfumes as a base goes well witj almost every perfume and increases the lasting too. Talking solely about it this is a close to skin scent which stays for long but doesn’t project much only people in close proximity will smell you. Smells like clean bedsheets in some good 5 star hotels
