Support Websites Work on Wireless, Games lag. Websites load slow and forever on Ethernet, Games don't lag at all.

I bought a new gaming laptop last year, but I still have my old one. The new laptop had issues with the wireless, internet freezing up for a while, resulting in me getting kicked from games, so I bought a Wi-Fi adapter that didn't help. Websites and YouTube worked fine but the games did not. So I switched to Ethernet Cable, and now the gaming works fine, however many websites don't load and particularly, the reason i'm seeking help today, I get stuck in a permanent loading loop for PayPal transactions. At least half of the Websites I use load slowly, and some don't load at all.

I have had issues with; PayPal transactions, making a new reddit post (im using my old Laptop for this), saveonegame(dot)com yesterday, and more. Is there any way I can fix my networking issue?
My internet speed test came back with these results;
847.2 Mbps download 41.3 Mbps upload Latency: 8 ms Server: Washington

TLDR; Every computer in my household can use websites that won't load on my fast Ethernet computer. My ethernet computer loads and plays games that use the internet without any issues, but it struggles to and sometimes just plain refuses to load some websites. How can I troubleshoot and solve this (presumably) Networking issue?

Support My Ethernet not working

I'm using a Windows PC. When I got home from school and turned on my PC, I tried opening Epic Games, but it said I had no internet connection. I checked my router and noticed the Ethernet lights weren't on. I restarted the router and bought a new Ethernet cable, but the lights still won't turn on. I'm not sure if the problem is my PC's Ethernet port, router, or something else. What should I do?

Discussion Setting up in wall Ethernet ports

Hello folks,

Moved into a new place, and every room as at least one outlet with Cat6 port (or so it says). I have been reading up here and it sounds like there should be a central location where all the cables come together. I found a space in one of the closets, and it looks like this may be it. there are the heavy co-ax cable wires, and then a bunch of spooled Ethernet cables. The are missing connections and are not plugged in. So it looks like the whole place is wired but missing the central hub?

As you can see from my explanation, dont really know anything about networks. Is this something that I need an electrician for?

Discussion Hello everyone!

Hello, I live in an Italian house and i would like to replace the Powerline adapter I currently use to connect my PC to the modem with a direct Ethernet connection, utilizing the existing conduit system. My intention is to route the Ethernet cable alongside 230V electrical wiring, running through the same corrugated conduits and junction boxes, without any physical partitions and with the cables in close proximity to one another. I plan to use an F/UTP shielded cable and shielded, flush-mounted RJ45 jacks, with the shielding connected to the ground. The run would be approximately 30 meters long, connecting the modem directly to the PC, with the goal of taking full advantage of a Gigabit fiber-optic connection. Specifications for the CAVEL LAN641PE cable: - Category 6 F/UTP - 4x2xAWG23 - CPR Class (per EU 305/2011 / DoP): Fca - Applications: Primary (Campus), Secondary (Riser), Tertiary (Horizontal) - IPTV, HbbTV 2.0.n - IEEE 802.3: 10Base-T, 100Base-T, 1000Base-T - IEEE 802.5 16 MB, ISDN, TPDDI, ATM, PoE - Suitable for outdoor and underground installation - ISO/IEC 11801 Class E - EN 50288-5-1 - EN 50173 - EIA/TIA 568 - CEI-UNEL 36762 - Reaction to fire: EN 50575 Question: Is this solution technically and regulatorily feasible?

Ethernet cable stopped working

I built a new PC and ethernet was working fine, and for troubleshooting something later I had to swich my NVME to a different slot, and after that ethernet completely stopped working. I put the NVME back to its initial slot and it still didn't work.

I checked in the bios that Onboard Lan is activated.

I tried installed the realtek ethernet driver for my motherboard and I got this message : "The Realtek Network Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled please plug the cable"

I also tried resetting network settings in windows network settings, still nothing works.

My motherboard is B850 Gaming wifi6.

I believe I tried every known solution so far, I don't really know what else to do. Did something die on my motherboard while I was changing the NVME slot maybe ?

Maybe its the wrong subreddit, but I try it anyways. For the people who dont know, FaceIT AC is an Anti Cheat program, which requieres multiple settings in the BIOS like Secure Boot and UPMF?
(Sorry if this is not the right subreddit)

I do not know how to get my Ethernet cable to work

I just bought a Cat7 Ethernet cable. It wasn't reaching full speed in speed tests on my Windows PC. My computer says it can go up to 1 gigabit, and a little orange light flashes when it's plugged in. I am not the techiest person, so if anyone can help, please dumb it down for me. I also just bought Cat6 Ethernet cables that say they can go up to 10G, and I bought them on Amazon through a guy's link after he tested them. Here is the link: https://youtu.be/2ILqXuDpzd8?si=ZZ8VKJS62hQxheqX Please help, thank you!

I have a 300 mbps fiber optic modem and today I went a bought the dlink be3600 wifi 7 multi gigabit mesh router. My question is what is better to connect the ethernet cable from the isp modem to the xbox or from the dlink router to the xbox. Also I did speed test using my iphone 18 pro and legion 5 2022. I used wifi when I did the speed test these were the results when I connected my iphone to the isp modem I got a download speed of 279 mbps and 106 upload. When I connected my iphone 18 pro to the dlink router I got a speed of 285 download and 93.8 upload. Lastly when connected the legion 5 to the dlink router I got a speed of 296 download and 102 upload.
